I love how this song builds up after 4:00 and makes it sound like it leads up to some really sick drop at around 6:52, but then it just goes "Nah, screw it. Here's some relaxing guitar and piano." It's like when you're in a dream and something really cool is about to happen in it, but then you wake up just before the thing happens, and then you realize that it's weekend and the sun is rising outside. :)
It beckons to you. To me, it is an ode to our Home we originally came from. On a spiritual level. Deep 😎. I've experienced dreams of music within music... Everlasting... It also tugged deeply at my soul because I wanted so badly to return. It was by far the most beautiful music I've ever heard... Yet technically it wasn't heard by my own ears.
An analogy I love that C418 made regarding this song is “At minute 7, the song abruptly builds up to nothing and fades away.” But my favorite part is what he says next. “Sometimes creativity doesn’t need to have a reason. Sometimes you just build.” both literally, and figuratively, this really touched my heart. So many times when I was younger, i was playing in Minecraft worlds building cool things, only to never come back to them.
"eu construía construções legais pra nunca mais ver eles" realmente dói se você for pensar por esse lado. Eu por exemplo nunca voltei nas minhas construções antigas, provavelmente devem estar sozinhas...
Most people go back to these songs and feel nostalgia, but as someone who's started playing Minecraft about one year ago I'd like to state my impression of this song. It's no doubt C418's work is pure genius, even the smaller and more light-hearted songs, but this one in particular... I've never cried in awe at music. I can't build to this song, I can't put it on background, I have to stop to actually listen to it because it feels wrong not to. To me, this song feels like discovering the secret of the universe, like the whole of space and time is trapped within it. Sacred, pure, open and lonely. It's gratifying but so deeply saddening.
@@frosbeechill already did, one of my faves because it transpires a sense of passion for adventure and love for existence, to me. Also kinda reminds me of Mario Galaxy (fave game as a kid) music

I want to say this: dreiton is unappreciated and deserves a little more recognition. This song makes me feel like I'm in minecraft and on my journey. To where I don't know but I know I'm going to live it up all the way.
@Mr Bell when I first started Minecraft, I was on ice in a snowy biome in 1.2 and I went to a mountain and started punching it without holding the mouse down until I realized I need to hold it to break blocks. I got some gravel and then went to a tree and broke it. I randomly pressed every key until I went into the inventory. I crafted some planks and sticks and a crafting table After a few minutes I gave up trying to find crafting recipes by randomly scattering the items with no guide of what to do. I looked it up on internet explorer and I found some videos to watch on RUclips, so I started again. I accidentally broke the ice but I didn't pay much attention to it and placed blocks while jumping in quick succession to get out. I crafted wooden tools and used each one to try to break the stone in the mountain. I had to go eat breakfast but after 7 years I will not forget that day.
@Mr Bell same world but after breakfast I started over again so my first world was never really played on. But my third survival world was good. 1.3 and peaceful, I got 5 diamond went to the nether, ended badly... My first survival world I was so close to getting diamond, on returning from an expedition for resources I hit a wolf and all of the them attacked me. I looked atcthem while moving backwards. I fell into a ravine, scariest thing for me. Didn't play survival for a while.
To me this is the best. It's progressive electronic music at it finest. Starts quietly to build a strong emotional melody that collapses on its own, stunning work
This song brings back those comforting days when mum was making dinner, dad just got home from work, and I would build the house from the Minecraft handbook for the millionth time on a new super flat world that I would never play again. This is the song that played when frogs, my all time favorite animal, were announced at Minecraft Live 2021. The pure happiness I felt when it was announced was truly amazing and I will forever associate it with this song. This always plays when I'm flying over a creative world in the city texture pack. I use that to build in, so I guess this is my official building song.
Minecraft knows what you're doing in each world, and decides which song to play. That song suddenly becomes what you link with the world. Aria Math played whenever I opened a superflat world with the intention of building a house, so now I refer to Aria Math as my "house building" song in a way.
it doesn't, it plays randomly. however, those songs are often surprisingly fitting! often during my first session of a new update, it plays "Blind Spots" and i started associating that song with updates.

@@ASpecialGuest I like Sweden, but all of these you mentioned are way better, I agree, with two exceptions tho.. Aria Math and The End.. These are on God level
Shoutout to those late nights I spent countless hours building away to my hearts content, building the city of my imagination, only to be remembered well by this vague song only few will truly relate to. Many memories of mine have flooded back into my mind seeing as Minecraft gave me a time to be creative with people who I've lost touch with. Mojang probably had no idea that this basic sandbox game would have such a deep meaning for lots of us fans who spent hours upon hours being ourselves, and expressing our inner creative mind through many blocks. Thank you, not only from me, but from us all who have had the wonderful experience of this magnificent game.
You know that feeling when you hear a song that resonates so much in your body that it gives you good chills and transports you somewhere else? That's what Taswell, Dreiton and Biome Fest generate for me.
POV: The year is 2015. You and your older cousin decided to play Minecraft on the Xbox 360. You boot up the Xbox and launched Minecraft. You gave another controller to your cousin and set the game mode to creative. The two of you built a little dirt house while this music is playing. Now almost 10 years later and your cousin is about to graduate university. You decided to come to this video to listen to the nostalgia you had 10 years ago, now realizing that you don’t have that Xbox anymore. Yes it’s ok to cry because of a past memory, but at least you’re smiling because it happened. In 10 years you’ll remember that you’d watch this video to relive the nostalgia. Now you’ll get nostalgic about that time you watched this video. As Dr. Seuss said, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened”
For anyone who is wondering what the instrument is… The instrument is an absolute wonderful instrument first made in Switzerland. The instrument is called *Handpan*
It's amazing how music like this does not have any lyrics, yet you can imagine a story from it. Absolutely amazing EDIT: I especially like everything after 7:00, so beautiful...
I know that Aria Math is often considered the most iconic song from Minecraft (other than Sweden, of course), but I will die on the hill that no song in the entire OST hits quite the same as Dreiton. This song wants so badly to get tears in my eyes.
This song tugs on my heart strings and triggers so much nostalgia, I can just remember playing in creative mode and making my own little acacia house over by sandy beach, while this song plays in the background.
When I listen to this my mind "flashes back" to the old times when I would sit in my snow biome and just build a house for fun, and it also brings me back to my old demo world, which I desperately want to see again. But, it's gone now. The initial spark of the game has already turned into a flame, and there's no turning back.
though this will probably never make it out of new, while scrolling through all the comments, take a minute or two. just a moment of silence to appreciate this song and all the others that C418 has made. think about what this represents to you. go ahead and embrace the nostalgia. now you may continue scrolling, have a nice day and i wish you the best on all your future endeavors.
This song pulls my heat strings so much. Me and my brothers back in 2012-2015 would just play around in creative worlds and just make bases or try to protect villagers in superflat (or destroy them. They moved on to fortnite which is sad but they still play on occasion but its just not the same.
This song conveys the passage of time so well. It's hard to put into words, but the tempo makes me imagine I'm looking at a world from afar as days and years pass every few seconds.
The beautiful memories we keep forever are what gives meaning to life This song sparks those fuzzy memories like a candle, letting me experience them once again I think we can agree this is why we share a love for C4's music
if you observe closely, you'd realize all those parts can be connected, at least in the beta album group. like the next song after this is possibly aria math judging it from the same instrument used
I remember back when fnaf and Minecraft were popular (well, fnaf was on the rise and Minecraft was just barely going down). I made a creative world for the first fnaf, and this song and a ton of slimes accompanied me as I did my work. One of my happiest memories. Sitting on my couch, playing my PS3, and just having fun honoring two games I loved. I miss those days, but I've come far.
I really can’t decide which I like better: the OG survival music, or the creative mode music. They both have different styles and vibes to them, and I love them both.
I think that if there was a perfect mirror of our world, difference between putting our world into music and putting perfect version of our world into music would be the same difference as the difference between Alpha and Beta. Alpha sounds like its grounded and real while Beta sounds like transcended version of that, same but somehow detached, like a place where Alpha is going but its unclear if it will ever arrive.
I feel like the original survival tracks are mostly overrated, there are some good ones, but its just nostalgia, in terms of how good the songs are creative takes the cake easily.
I don't know why, but 1:41 always reminds me of doing build battles with my bother and sister, having fun and laughing at each other's creations. My brother's 16 now and rarely wants to play anything with me anymore, but when he does, I make the most of it and count it as a blessing. What I wouldn't do to go back to the days when my family would go down to the basement and play Minecraft together.
Sometimes when I attempt to play Minecraft again, I wish I had the ability to erase my memory of Minecraft, so that I can over and over re-enjoy the game, re-enjoy its first beginning with curiousity and chill go down my spine every step, re-enjoy the feeling when I first discover the pyramids and the villages, re-enjoy the world with endless horizon, re-enjoy the musics, Everything.
4:02 I like this part way more than Aria Math. It’s more melodic to me and it gives me more nostalgia, idk why. It reminds me of an ice spikes or snowy biome.
they decised to remove Mice On Venus but only on Java edition. and that small thing is why i don't play java edition as much anymore. They still have that track on bedrock thoe. So yeah. i switched to play on Bedrock just because of that specific track in the game lol
I remember this when i was still in daycare I had alot of friends that now I no longer see and after then I used to always come home to play this game on my ps4 fly around in creative mode and just enjoy the game and for some reason this song played alot of times and for some reason just reminded me of one of my friends (forgot his name) and how awesome and simple things used to be nobody hated anyone everyone was just a kind community. This was over 6-9 years ago, and I miss those days :( (2016-2014 were good times)
Most underrated song in the Minecraft OST. This is just triggers nostalgia so hard you wanna go back to the time when you were younger. Oh i begin crying now.
He felt do discouraged that he almost checked out of the tournament, because he, knew his fate was sealed, in the interval between matches crunch helped hbox calm down, because after all there is still so much melee left to play
6:55 i love this part so much the brass quickly building up and then stopping abruptly with no release, then cutting to a segment with an acoustic (or nylon or whatever idk anything) guitar, light percussion, handpan and piano i always loved that contrast the guitar frets add so much to it, too
Man this brings me back and I just was derping around, adventureing around, and just having fun this was a big trip and I heard this as I went into modes just was fun Minecraft is the one and only way back to the past
When I listen to Minecraft music I feel like I'm falling into a void. Not a void of sadness, neither a void of happiness, but a void of memories, memories that are timeless. Memories of when everything was more straightforward. Memories of my friends and memories that make me what I am now. Minecraft music has a feeling of loneliness, like knowing you are alone in this world where you can build everything, from a giant theme park to a small little house to watch the sunset. When the world ends, we will be in this void of memories and loneliness. This is Minecraft. This is the only void we want to be in.
Almost 10 years ago, i discovered Minecraft. At the time i was like 6 or 7 years old, my brother wanted me to play that game, i was like "yeah why not", he created me a world in survival in normal difficulty and let me play. I found it fun even if i didn't understand what i had to do, i was just exploring the world. Then came the night, i saw zombies and skeletons and i started to scream and cry, my brother came and told me to hide in a cave, i did that and a zombie killed me. Then i was so affraid of that game i didn't want to play anymore. Something like 2 month after, i saw the "Minecraft" icon on my computer and i launched the game, to give it a second chance, i discovered a new gamemode: creative, so i decided to try. I asked my brother to come help me to play, he built me a little house that at the time looked so beautiful for me, but i wanted to explore all the world of minecraft and i discovered that i could fly to be faster, i obviously lost the little house by exploring too far...... I was sad, but i kept exploring and i saw a village in a desert, i decided to visit the village and i tried to make my house..... in glowstone (i don't know why, i found that block beautiful), the house was really ugly, but i was proud of myself, then i discovered another block to build a beautiful house: glass.... So i built a house only with glass block. I left the world and i saw that i could modify the name of it so i named it "belle ville" (which means "beautiful city" in french). I went back everyday to build other houses, i don't remember everything i built but i remember that my favorite build i made was a big castle made of diamond blocks hahaha..... I kept playing that game everyday, i made other worlds, i discoveted the servers and other gamemodes, etc... I kept playing minecraft for a long time.... now i don't really have time to play but sometimes i find some time, and when i play, i feel so nostalgic of these times where everything was easy.... Thank you if you read that, i just wanted to share my experience why this game which i consider as a big part of my life.
I built the exact same thing, i remember it so well, and huge diamond mansion on a tiny island with an iron room next to if filled with redstone torches and a glass tube headed away.. i never got to finish it
Soothing, relaxing, Steve thought as he built, he knows it's been a while ever since this music has come on, he likes to think; "Why would I not like this? It's just, beautiful." he realizes after the battle in the end, this "game" has been a dream, but he loved it, cherished it, let it be one with him, let it be one with his dream, empower his mind to build more and more, give him creative ideas, and so he built, more and more, and he loved it. It empowered his mind to build. He made beautiful terraformed arches, mountains, and forests, he built beautiful cities on/in them, and then it stopped, his mind was empowered by it so much, he hummed it to be even more empowered by it. And so forth, he built, humming, a villager parade behind him as he built.

this song is beautiful, every time i heard it when i was younger i was just blown away. this is the PERFECT ambient soundtrack, the perfect sandbox game soundtrack. literally could not be more perfect.
This is so nostalgic. I’m surprised there are so few new comments, these tracks need love along with Sweden, Mice on Venus, and the other tracks
Imo sweden is super overrated, mice on venus, aria math, the end, dreiton, taswell are way better
@@ASpecialGuest I like Sweden, but all of these you mentioned are way better, I agree, with two exceptions tho.. Aria Math and The End.. These are on God level
I meant that tracks like Dreiton need love just like those other tracks, clearly I worded it poorly half a decade ago lol
"remember when you used to play Minecraft"
Am I the only one who still actively playing it?
No, you're not. I play Minecraft almost every day.
I play it since 2009, bro
Still playing frequently
Playing every day
Why are there people who quit the game? İm not blaming them, i just want to know why do they quit.
6:20 I love that rising and falling tone in the back. Matches so well
6:09 Goosebumps. Every time

I just got goosebumps
I remember the weird "whispering" sound at 7:06 spooked me and my brother so much because we thought it was Herobrine's laugh
LOL, that's fingers sliding up/down the strings of a guitar!
I recreated it by sliding a metal ruler down the strings.
For anyone who is wondering what the instrument is…
The instrument is an absolute wonderful instrument first made in Switzerland. The instrument is called *Handpan*
Would love a hand pan VST or Au3 instrument
this makes me cry nearly every time I hear it
cuz of the nostalgia of 2013 ( when the mc servers were still good)
FaZe Equator I know you liked the 2013 state of minecraft servers, BUT YOU DON'T NEED TO COMMENT THAT ON EVERY VOL. BETA VIDEO!
2014-2015 were pretty good too, around the end of 2015 I started to realize how different the servers are becoming and how less exciting they were

It's amazing how music like this does not have any lyrics, yet you can imagine a story from it. Absolutely amazing
EDIT: I especially like everything after 7:00, so beautiful...
I wont let you drain me swamp! Funniest profile pic ever
thats what electronic music does, try getting into it very amazing music genre
haha and i just was too and then i see your comment! so true...
That's why I only listen to instrumental music. Lyrics aren't needed to tell a story. Real music tells stories all by itself.
DavidsKanal Real talk.
This is by far my favorite ambient music in the entire game.
Thats exactly what I think of while listening to this too
this is what I would hear building my diamond and emerald house in the middle of a forest
I FOUND IT! Heard this in the PS3 Edition and i just loved from the first time i heard it. So peacefull
This song makes me cry
lol why?
Roush Hawley lol i dunno
That's exactly how I felt when I heard this
@@drobviouslol I cry hearing this too, and look, Minecraft is dying and that makes me more sad :/
instead of helping me study, this helps me procrastinate and think of memories from the good days
I too find it difficult to listen to songs like these while studying. They’re just too good.
Real
When I listen to this my mind "flashes back" to the old times when I would sit in my snow biome and just build a house for fun, and it also brings me back to my old demo world, which I desperately want to see again. But, it's gone now. The initial spark of the game has already turned into a flame, and there's no turning back.
This is one of my favourites. The buildup is awesome, it feels so emotional and full. Such a great piece
though this will probably never make it out of new, while scrolling through all the comments, take a minute or two.
just a moment of silence to appreciate this song and all the others that C418 has made.
think about what this represents to you.
go ahead and embrace the nostalgia.
now you may continue scrolling, have a nice day and i wish you the best on all your future endeavors.
This song pulls my heat strings so much. Me and my brothers back in 2012-2015 would just play around in creative worlds and just make bases or try to protect villagers in superflat (or destroy them. They moved on to fortnite which is sad but they still play on occasion but its just not the same.
For anyone wondering, that is an opsilon handpan
I was actually wondering, thank you
Used for Aria math as well :)

This song conveys the passage of time so well. It's hard to put into words, but the tempo makes me imagine I'm looking at a world from afar as days and years pass every few seconds.
Ive never really felt nostalgia for many mc songs but this brings me back holy shit

The beautiful memories we keep forever are what gives meaning to life
This song sparks those fuzzy memories like a candle, letting me experience them once again
I think we can agree this is why we share a love for C4's music
I love very slow ambient music, and this one of my favorites.
I also like Aria Math and Taswell.
Biome fest

if you observe closely, you'd realize all those parts can be connected, at least in the beta album group. like the next song after this is possibly aria math judging it from the same instrument used

Yes me too 😭😭😭😭
This song should be a survival mode song. Every time I hear it I get the urge to venture thousands of blocks out and explore.
I remember that it was and I heard it in my first survival world when I was exploring near the sea
This brings back so many memories of me and my dad playing on our little creative world
I remember back when fnaf and Minecraft were popular (well, fnaf was on the rise and Minecraft was just barely going down).
Creative hits different
I want the Volume Alpha and Beta songs to play in any game mode.
I feel like the original survival tracks are mostly overrated, there are some good ones, but its just nostalgia, in terms of how good the songs are creative takes the cake easily.
This song always starts to play when it’s raining in creative, and then the rain clears up... and you start to venture around the world.
my friend told me the peaceful/sad music is because there was a war and steve is the last one on earth/overworld
What about the NPC villagers?
they aren't really humans
if you say so..

THIS IS IT THIS IS THE ONE THAT’S BEEN STUCK IN MY HEAD
Damn; now I know what my favorite happens to be called. Have been searching for forever!
I've listened to this over and over again SOOOO many times. It's just such a mysterious song that I'm never gonna get tired of. :)
Sometimes when I attempt to play Minecraft again, I wish I had the ability to erase my memory of Minecraft, so that I can over and over re-enjoy the game, re-enjoy its first beginning with curiousity and chill go down my spine every step, re-enjoy the feeling when I first discover the pyramids and the villages, re-enjoy the world with endless horizon, re-enjoy the musics,
Everything.

So yeah. i switched to play on Bedrock just because of that specific track in the game lol

i like the part past 4:03 more but how it goes quiet like that makes it better
Agreed! It’s my favorite part too! Reminds me of Aria Math.
So good I agree!!
This was over 6-9 years ago, and I miss those days :(
(2016-2014 were good times)
There's something so special about C418 soundtracks, whenever you hear it, brings you nostalgia to a specific thing: Minecraft
Most underrated song in the Minecraft OST. This is just triggers nostalgia so hard you wanna go back to the time when you were younger. Oh i begin crying now.
This song is really something else. It just transcends space and time.
This was my first Minecraft song I ever heard
He felt do discouraged that he almost checked out of the tournament, because he, knew his fate was sealed, in the interval between matches crunch helped hbox calm down, because after all there is still so much melee left to play

I’m living the nostalgia now that my friend group has decided to play this literal game-changer on a regular basis.

I really love these Minecraft songs full of memories and nostalgia, but Haunt Muskie will never leave the first place!

5:21 is when I love this music and the best part of creativity
En 30 años mas volvere a escuchar este video y acordarme los gran monentazos que pase con amigos este juego :(

I wish Minecraft would always have an indiactor or something telling you what song is playing in the background so that you could find it more easily.
6:55 i love this part so much
the brass quickly building up and then stopping abruptly with no release, then cutting to a segment with an acoustic (or nylon or whatever idk anything) guitar, light percussion, handpan and piano
i always loved that contrast
the guitar frets add so much to it, too
Feels like I'm floating through the memories
Agree
Man this brings me back and I just was derping around, adventureing around, and just having fun this was a big trip and I heard this as I went into modes just was fun
Minecraft is the one and only way back to the past
When I listen to Minecraft music I feel like I'm falling into a void. Not a void of sadness, neither a void of happiness, but a void of memories, memories that are timeless. Memories of when everything was more straightforward. Memories of my friends and memories that make me what I am now. Minecraft music has a feeling of loneliness, like knowing you are alone in this world where you can build everything, from a giant theme park to a small little house to watch the sunset. When the world ends, we will be in this void of memories and loneliness. This is Minecraft. This is the only void we want to be in.
Samee this reminss me of me and my friends having the best timws
I’m in college now but I remember playing Minecraft and the nostalgia is insane. Haven’t played Minecraft in almost 4 years
this song feels like drifting in space reaching the end of the galaxy. it really feels calming listening to this in ps4 edition and xbox edition
I could literally sleep with Minecraft music playing
me too, but i could never figuratively sleep with it playing.
HOLY HECK I REMEMBER THIS SONG FROM LIKE 2014 JESUS CHRIST THIS BRINGS BACK SO MUCH NOSTALGIA
This song is my favorite out of the entire OST. It is such a beautiful piece of art.
We go exploring
We died
We go back exploring
We fall apart

Area math
Dreiton
Sweden

All very amazingly nostalgic and equal in my opinion.
4:04 this part sound like aria math
They both use hand pans, which are Swiss percussion instruments that men sit down outside and play.
Mojang - It's just a cube game and it will always be a cube game, don't play music so extreme with so many details.

I love how the song constantly grows and starts terraforming until make a full beautiful melody
