Who remembers back when you and your friends genuinely believed in herobrine. Talking all day about his backstory at lunch. Going hunting for him when you get home, building spawners, you and your friends freaking out over a cave noise or “cursed” seeds you found on youtube. Good times.
I remember I had Minecraft on my old tablet. One time, I convinced my little cousin that herobrine was in my Minecraft world. I changed my name to herobrine, and put some edgy message in chat, then changed my username back before he noticed. He freaked out and kept mentioning it for the whole week. I miss those days.

Lol sort of related story but I never even had diamonds, or iron, or stone... When I first played survival on my xbox 360 I didn't know you were supposed to punch a tree because I thought it would hurt. I built a brick house in a creative world and had a lot of fun but survival never really catered to me.
The first sunset as you build your house. Furnace smelting the sand and clay you found. Half finished roof because you forgot to get enough wood. Basic stone gear from a small cave you found but didn't dare go to far in. Maybe a few torches if you found coal. Your wooden pickaxe is halfway broken and as the sparks slow from your furnace you burn it as well. Out of wood and without a bed you wait. Listening to the sound of zombies and the clacking of skeletons. You fear the hissing of spiders as they crawl over your unfinished house. You look out your small window into the infinite world. Floating trees stare back, longing to decay. Creepers hide in the shadows but make no move to blow. You smile as outworldly yet comforting music begins to play. As the sun rises you here the cries of the undead and the calming of the spider's rage. You set out on a quest for resources. But as other things nag for your attention you stray futher and further away. Soon you forget the way back to where it all started. Trees left to hang in a limbo forever. Sand sitting in a cold furnace next to a lone glass pane. Sun shining through the hole in the roof. Chest full of seeds and saplings never to be opened again. As you start a new project in a distant land you forget what began it all. Until, one day, you hear the echos of a song in your bedroom. Mixing with the burning flesh is a beautiful symphony of memories long lost to time. Lost until now. As you leave your now-old door to collect the night's spoils you remember hiding away in a small shack. You remember the fear of the open sky. Now you look at all you've done. Diamond sword in hand. A portal glows in the distance. You smile. Everything is coming full circle. You grab a map and start searching. Hoping to find the source of these tears.
Same remember my first EVER world On the Xbox 360, I spawned in a winter biome, I think it was when winter worlds were around IDK, my dad got it for me when I was around 5 and it was the first EVER game we played and although he dose not like it anymore it has a special place in our harts
@@drriley8087 I too remember my first ever world! It was on my dad's backwards compatible PS3 (Now broken and can't recover the world) but I built some good houses, until I got trapped at bedrock height. My first world was in creative (unfortunately)
Since were sharing stories I’ll go ahead and tell you mine, my first ever world that I created was made around 2011/2012 when the original Minecraft: Lite came out, I was about 4 at the time, I remember spawning walking around a bit placing blocks and then making a giant brick tower using oak wood as flooring and glass for windows, later when I got Pocket Edition I went on to make lots more worlds all of them holding something I hold dear to me now, most of these worlds are stored on my iPad 1. After that I got it on the xbox 360, my first ever real multiplayer experience happened there, when I hopped onto a friend’s Minecraft server, then skip forward to 2014, I was playing on a cracked Minecraft launcher on PC, then in December 2015 I got the game officially for pc, I can remember the very first version I played on was 1.7.5 on the cracked launcher, And so you see I have been playing Minecraft for so long that it’s become something I hold close and dear to my heart
I'm sure that this comment will get buried, but thank you for making this playlist. It brings me back to the old old days of Minecraft. When I was younger, I would wake up and want to play Minecraft. It brought me such simple joy that I find so little in the world now. I'm bullied and deeply depressed on a level even I can't comprehend, and I deal with insomnia. I've found that I can fall asleep to this playlist at night. I used to think that Minecraft music was sad, but I nearly started crying because I miss the old days. I miss the Notch and Jeb days, not the Bill Gates days. I still play Minecraft to this day but to a lesser extent than before, as I have school and that sort of stuff. I can't thank Minecraft enough for the happiness it brought me.

Just, download it and play again. Trust me, You will still have the "feeling" when you play it again after years...i am an old player, whenever i was having nostalgia, i will play it. Minecraft is still there. It is still ALIVE, so as our childhood. Don't just think you are grown up/ or sick of having the same gameplay... so you can't play. Dive into it, the new contents, new friends, new memories, embrace it more and cherish.
We all want to play again, but we just don’t have the time due to the (thing) we want to have a good time, but we can always have a good time playing servers, with friends, with anyone :)
"Don't you wish you could know you were in the good old days before you've already left them?" Edit: Thanks for the likes everyone, glad to see people still feel for this nostalgic, beautifully made game. Carry on. 👋
@TheGalaxyCat Fucking definitely, I would have done so much more, played so much more, with friends I play Fortnite now with and share those memories again. Memories end up fading though, but just remember that Minecraft never changes. You can dial up the crew and play in one world. The memories I had with this game...
Dragonball101 I hopped back on with my old crew. Loaded up an old 360 world I made in 6th grade. It was like stepping back in time, we had jokes on signs that I haven’t thought about in years. Made me nostalgic as fuck, my life’s only gotten better since then and I have no regrets but I’ll always miss being that young and hopeful.
My first memory of Minecraft is my dad trying to build a house with bricks and using red wool. 3 years ago, he died to cancer and I’ve kept that memory with me. I remember buying the game soon after he made that house and I loved the game so much. Every time I play it I think of him. But not constantly on my mind. Just in the back of my head. Appreciate everything you have, because tomorrow isn’t promised.
It’s been two years so I’m not sure about that most people have forgotten and once fortnite dies that will most likely never come back and most likely quit gaming face reality and do something else with there life’s no matter how many updates that add it will most likely chase more away so ask yourself the question are video games just gonna die off we have no more ideas for gaming and if there’s a new one it will most likely be a copy or just be terrible so sorry to say but I think the gaming community will die down but hopefully someday new tec will come and change gaming forever.
As a kid I didn’t think I’d pass the age of 21 or even make it. But here I am 25 and thanks to c418 I can go back too simple times and feel at peace. Hope this video in specific never goes away as I listen too it with my best friend and helps me feel happy with the memories I’ve made.
it seems the point was lost a little here in the comments, as a kid, sure you are asked on occasion "what do you wanna do when you grow up", but for real, as kids, we never put any thought into it, as to us being an adult felt so far away, or even impossible. All we wanted to do is play games, be with friends and end go to school to hand with more friends. Our expectations of life and the weight of how reality is was not ever there. The bliss of just being in the moment as a happy kid. Now here we all are on a comment thread, all strangers, all adults, listening to the same music to destress from the stress and reality of adulthood. and OP here just wants to vibe, to remember the good times of childhood like the rest of us, before pushing on to better their adult life. and you get al that bud, life life to it's fullest.

That's ambient music for you, my friend. It has to sound familiar but with a different vibe, it's open to interpretation, everyone paints their own picture based on the song. Minecraft's choice of music is probably one of the reasons why i love listening to instrumentals more. You can vamp the same song in two different times, at the various stretches of time, it'll evoke a different feeling every time.
I played Minecraft when I was younger, now I'm still listening to this playlist often when I'm driving at night as a truck driver lol alone in the dark with this music high volume with bass is woah ! Give chills

Did anyone else get REALLY creeped out by the Minecraft cave sounds when we were younger, in a simpler time? I loved the game and played from 2009 to about 2013 when I gave up on it, but I was always skeptical of going mining because i thought I would get scared by a cave noise and have something jump out of the dark, haha.
@DerpToni616372 i had the same fillings bro i miss these time when minecraft was the biggest horror and the best game ever, i will never forget these years
I did because you'll have the calm music in the background, and then all of a sudden a loud screech or a sound that makes you feel like you're being watched will come out of nowhere.
Back in like 2012 they used to have a demo version where you could play for 30 minutes or so before the game would stop. I would just go into creative and build the weirdest little house with a “throne” out of diamond, emerald, coal blocks etc. Then, like 2 minutes before my time ran out, I’d run over to my Mum and tell her to quickly have a look. 9/10 she wouldn’t make it in time, but when she did, she said she was very impressed, so yeah. Just felt like sharing :)
I don't want to burst your bubble, but I don't think that's great advice. We *should* be productive. Being slothful isn't a life we should lead when there are so many who need our help.
"So, yeah...this arena is almost done." "Yup. It looks epic so far." "You almost done setting up the command blocks?" "Mm-hmm. I'll add some effects to where they will be summoned to make it look amazing." "I have to go for now. Wanna finish this tomorrow?" "Sure. I will place a sign for us saying we made this for when we.share this map." "Thanks. Bye." *3 years later...* Now I am left with that world on my computer, just keeping it after all those years, and coming back to reading that sign. _Daniel, you surely haven't forgotten about it, haven't you? Let's finish it and have the fun we needed to have years ago. Please, just come back..._
Unmatched nostalgia. The music in Minecraft is so melancholic but also warming, the sadness that the memories are over, but glad that it happened and having fun retelling and rethinking about those memories. Beautiful in the most unorthodox way possible. Thank you C418.
Who remembers the old door sounds and when pork chops and steak had the black outline and couldn’t stack in your inventory. Who remembers when there was no hunger bar and the old cobblestone textures. Who remembers watching the yogscast videos like shadow of Israphel and Yogslab. Who remembers when you and your friends would try to spawn Herobrine because you genuinely thought he was real. Who remembers when the only skin was Steve and the other Steve variants on console. Who remembers watching SkyDoesMinecraft play with MinecraftUniverse and Dedlox. Who remembers the best times?
Gingecast is where i was back in the day, i always watched them and i wanted to play minecraft, a month later my aunt bought minecraft on her xbox, i was so happy, the first thing i done is check out all the stuff that was recently added (i was in TU9 at the time) and i always laughed at the villagers, they looked awesome, and the creepers would explode if you punched them in creative, i just miss the old days, when minecraft was so simple, yet so exciting.
I only played PC from Christmas 2014 to now, but I still have so many memories tucked away in my screenshots folder. I used to only play Creative, and even more recently I started playing on Normal mode in Survival. *sigh* And then, there was the era of Pocket Edition... I remember playing this one world all the time until it got corrupted somehow and my brother and I thought Herobrine had come for us and put a diamond in a chest as an "offering." I still love playing it, and early this year it got me into animating and digital art, which are now my biggest passion and skill, so this game will forever have a special place in my heart. I'm even thinking of revamping MC's music, SFX and textures to feel like an 8-bit adventure rpg as a sort of tribute to the joy it's brought so many people. I'm not that good at music and sound design yet, but I think i'll get there.
Remember when you were so happy getting Minecraft? Remember the login screen? Remember your very first world? Remember when you survived a creeper explosion? Remember your first encounter with a villager? Remember when Herobrine was the most horrifying thing to exist? Remember Mining your first Diamonds? Remember going to the Nether Portal? Remember your first dog or cat? Remember when you created your first Flat World Remember where you experimented redstones? Remember, Steve?

We played, we tried We laughed, we cried We succeeded, we died We respawned and thrived From the zombies, to the endermen From the skeletons, to the pigmen From the spiders and creepers And from those annoying griefers From the biome of jungle to sands To the mushrooms and other obscure lands From the snow and ice To the swamps which never looked too nice From the moments with friends we’ll cherish From a time we hoped Herobrine would perish From the great animations To the RUclips sensations Along with those musical incantations I thank Mojang for creating my childhood Much better than just ‘good’ I think I speak for everyone here When I say this is not game of the year It’s the game of the century As it offered us plenty And these memories will never leave Just like the thought of first playing as Steve So I say close your eyes And listen to the music with surprise As your memories of Minecraft where once apart But now can be fixed like a broken heart In order to find your memories core You must go back to the world of Minecraft once more And defeat the Ender Dragon one last time As the sweet sounds of your childhood begin to chime One last thing, for me to say Which would be, have a nice day Also for you to never forget this game Nor the journey that came As apart of that journey was the end Quite literally, not pretend Just like this poem, which I hope you all read As I would love it if this poem and this game is remembered once I’m dead.
the time of childhood has passed, damn it, I'm already 21 years old in 4 days... I remember how... most recently, I was 10 years old, I was chatting on Skype with my friends, and we were running and having fun in minecraft 1.5.2... I want to give a parting word to the younger generation - appreciate this time, carefree, cheerful. All the best, with love from Russia!

I simply cannot listen to this track without crying. This literally autoplayed for me and I instantly got the feels - This game means so, so much to me. It pains me how much it sucks that I'll never be able to be as young and without responsibilities, never able to go back to 8 year old me playing Minecraft again; living it, building a house, hearing the soundtrack again and lowering the volume because "It's too sad" - I have a job and responsibilities now, I've gotten older. And yet, I feel happy it happened, because if it didn't, what for? Nostalgia is one of many things that get me through these hard years, I know that times are hard now but can always, maybe, be as good as these years before. Thank you C418 for being such an integral part of my life

Icantthinkofaname2006 well you can get the past back in minecraft , you can load alpha and betacontent every time you want . You dont have to flow with the newest versions . Stay with that version , which you like the most and everything is good and fine . I stay at 1.8.8 because its pre 1.9 when that utter stupid combat update came out . Dual wielding sounded great , but its not so useful as you may think , at least thats what i expierienced with that .

Lol sort of related story but I never even had diamonds, or iron, or stone...
When I first played survival on my xbox 360 I didn't know you were supposed to punch a tree because I thought it would hurt. I built a brick house in a creative world and had a lot of fun but survival never really catered to me.
This comment made me smile :)
Этот хорошо, да? Я люблю это.

On the Xbox 360, I spawned in a winter biome, I think it was when winter worlds were around IDK, my dad got it for me when I was around 5 and it was the first EVER game we played and although he dose not like it anymore it has a special place in our harts
After that I got it on the xbox 360, my first ever real multiplayer experience happened there, when I hopped onto a friend’s Minecraft server, then skip forward to 2014, I was playing on a cracked Minecraft launcher on PC, then in December 2015 I got the game officially for pc, I can remember the very first version I played on was 1.7.5 on the cracked launcher,
And so you see I have been playing Minecraft for so long that it’s become something I hold close and dear to my heart

@TheGalaxyCat Fucking definitely, I would have done so much more, played so much more, with friends I play Fortnite now with and share those memories again. Dragonball101 I hopped back on with my old crew. Loaded up an old 360 world I made in 6th grade. It was like stepping back in time, we had jokes on signs that I haven’t thought about in years. @mrfroginami2813 diseases and other variables in question:
@mrfroginami2813 he lived in compton
it seems the point was lost a little here in the comments, as a kid, sure you are asked on occasion "what do you wanna do when you grow up", but for real, as kids, we never put any thought into it, as to us being an adult felt so far away, or even impossible.

Для меня жизнь по - настоящему началась в 2011 году, интернет, Minecraft , Plants vs. Zombies...
It’s officially been 10 years, and all I can say is...
*Thank you for a good childhood*

Thank you C418 for being such an integral part of my life
Some days I cry because I will never get the past back.
Some days I smile because I had that past. Most of us anyways

Yes... :( I remember when I used to play it with my best friend all night, building everything, doing everything, just remembering it and listening to this beautiful music i can let these memories last, I miss my friend so fucking much, but sad he is far far away, but there will be that time when we will meet again.
Dual wielding sounded great , but its not so useful as you may think , at least thats what i expierienced with that .
play this at my funeral like no joke

lmao lying in my room at 10pm having a mental breakdown, almost crying while remembering the good old days where i'd constantly play in factions and creative with my friends, or when i'd be bored out of my mind and play alone on survival with these sweet nostalgic tunes playing softly occasionally.

First played Minecraft 5 yrs ago with my then 8 yr old son. I didn’t appreciate it much then but now that I’m playing again with my younger son who is 8, and seeing how much it calms him and the joy it brings him, I’m loving every minute.
