I remember I used to make these “adventure worlds” for my friends. The premise would be that I’d go in a regular world in creative mode and build small structures for my friends to find in survival mode. Over time they would evolve and change, revealing a growing story. They’d be sent on adventures, often discovering remnants of some lost civilization or the secrets behind some evil scientist or even aliens one time. I would often stay up pretty late working on these worlds, and then around afternoon the next day, I’d get to watch them go through the adventure and discover the story. It was quite fun. They could see the subtle changes I was adding and sometimes I think they could tell where the story was going. So it’d be late at night, and I’m pouring my heart out into some story or build for my friends to discover, loot, and/or ‘conquer’. After all my friends went to bed, the only thing I could do while working on my builds was vibe to the in-game music; this song in particular would play the most often. After a while, we eventually split up. They found their own friend groups, and I didn’t have anyone to build adventures for anymore so I stopped. Hearing this song brings me back to that time. Truth be told, I miss it. I miss staying up late working on some random story. I miss seeing them struggle on the harder parts. I miss seeing them work their way through the adventure and seeing them piece it all together. My friend, it seems you've discovered a liking for storytelling. I know how it feels to feel that way. If I may suggest, you may have fun playing D&D as a DM. It's a lot of work putting together a story and weaving together adventures, but it's very similar to how you described. The other is roleplaying, though the literate way. There is joy in writing and creating something with passion. I myself abhorrently despised writing anything for school and later college, but I found when I could write things that I wanted. I loved it. Whatever is your choice, I hope it brings you joy and inspiration in the future. Don't let your creative flame wither and die, that's what makes you unique.
@@wolf_from_beyond8282 Thank you! I have tried writing books but I find myself putting spots open for interactivity. DMing would probably fill that spot. Best wishes and I hope you find joy in your writing as well!

It's been so many years since i last played Minecraft, and now I randomly remembered this song as it lingered through my mind like an old forgotten memory. I started listening to it whilst laying in my bed, and as soon as I closed my eyes, old memories started flashing before my eyes.. As a kid, I used to spend most of my time in creative mode. This song is incredibly nostalgic and an absolute masterpiece. Gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.
This one doesn't feel like loneliness and sadness like most others, it has much more like an exploring and curiosity vibe, but as always with a nostalgic pitch all along it

I built an entire castle out of gold and diamond blocks on creative when I first started playing Minecraft on my phone in 2015 and thought it was cool. I love how the "most replayed" part starts at pretty much the halfway point of the song. If you look, the entire graph gets higher and higher from start till finish. I'd like to think this is because of how a lot of C418's songs build from something small and escalate to something incredible.

I swear, this song always plays when i'm building something in Creative. Edit: i think i need to clarified what i mean by "always plays." A lot of people are saying that because it's the creative music and yeah, i didn't know about that first (thanks Random Things/Mr Miacis) but what i mean is that this is always the first song from the creative album that plays when i'm in creative. Thanks for your time.

3:37 I don’t know what it is about this segment of the song that makes it my favorite. I just love it. Love all the memories I’ve made with my old friends on my Xbox 360
0:55 if you listen closely, you can hear the underlying synths switch between high and low notes for a perfect transition into 0:56 and blends perfectly into 0:57 Ambient, slightly distorted chimes that seem far off in the distance, but the impact is still there. It sounds so beautiful 0:58 - 1:03 the chimes flutter in and out very quickly, almost like it's reverberating 1:04 a low frequency long note synth begins building up as the chimes and synth notes dance around the beat 1:10 the first time we can hear that nostalgic melody, very subtle and incomplete, with those ambient chimes fluttering back in with a more distorted, underwater sound to them, leading into 1:20 a very sad tune of shifting long note synths, which comes in full force and takes center stage until 1:30 where the shaking of maracas can be heard in the undergrowth, which seems to come from mostly the left earphone at first, with a little bit in the middle when 1:40 rolls around and the maracas shift to the right earphone and gain volume along with the speed of the shakes (these alternate focus quite a multitude of times, if you listen closely) 2:05 an almost 8-bit, high pitched long note synth winds up 2:10 transitions into a beautiful three notes, until 2:11 holds the fourth note and an underlying lower note 8-bit synth accompanies it 2:28 The way it shifts tone is very subtle and fast, but it sounds SO good and i noticed the beat flutters a bit around this point as the note drags on, and the maracas stop shaking 2:40 the beginning and end of the nostalgic melody, played with a slow break between for maximum heart wrenching nostalgia. ALSO 3:37 when the BASS KICKS IN There are so many more minute details that I don’t really have the time to type out, but make no mistake this is still one of my favorite Minecraft songs, up there with blocks for me tbh. Thanks to Sykroid for the addition: I wanna build off this. At 4:15, the strings come in as everything in the song works together to push into the final height of the song. If this song is a campfire, 4:45 is the final flare, as everything reaches it's peak in a beautiful flash of light and warmth, showing you something awe-inspiring. The entire song was building and building, moving forward in one direction into that finale. The sense of scale it's created over the course of 5 minutes hits that height and... then it's over. The fire dies down into nothing, and the beat goes on quietly, while you sit in the dark staring at the embers. Rather than ending at the largest part of the song, at that high note, it fades away as it continues to quietly play. Again it brings in that sense of scale, the strongest point of the song against the meekest. And the effect is that instead of you leaving on the highest note, you sit there as it passes you by and leaves you to think about what just happened. This song is a story
It feels so good, because I was looking for this track and I finally found it, Thank you C418 and Minecraft for all the Nostalgia and good times you brought me and everyone else here🙏🏼
This is a banger but I still can't shake the feeling of loneliness and nostalgia I feel when I listen to any Minecraft creative soundtrack. Survival mode is different. Survival mode's soundtrack accompanies the accomplishment of tasks as they arise. But Creative mode's soundtrack? It sounds sad. Melancholic, even. For in Creative mode, there is no impending danger of nightfall. No need for food. It's just you, your thoughts, and an endless inventory of blocks. Creative mode's soundtrack, rather than supplement gameplay, intensifies the feeling of loneliness.
It's like being Mr Manhattan. When you have all the power in the world, the world becomes much smaller and seems so empty When you've already seen the far lands, already built your castle, and filled it with mobs and villagers of your own design who couldn't possibly pose a threat to you, what is left? Nothing is left for the man who has it all
I remember extending villages, building great things, and making the most fancy floating house in the world. Added all the secret rooms with paintings, and filled it with all the cats and animals I could. But nothing would ever shake the loneliness that I would be the only one to experience this world.
@@noahlani6480 Building secret rooms covered by paintings, hidden by a layer of water utilizing water elevators, creating secret tunnels, easter eggs all accompanied by signs with messages written by you for someone else to find out and read, only to realize no one would ever find them nor read them, yet we still made them all wholeheartedly and with full passion. This is the saddest and most melancholic feeling of creative minecraft in which we so dearly loved.

We had a huge base, Full diamond, A strip mine that was thousands of blocks long, A wall surrounding our base, It was great. We never beat the game, And i think it was for the better. I was a ps3 player. I still remember saying "Alright see ya tomorrow." For the last time and never being able to go back. I know that the game is on pc but it just dosen't feel the same. That magic that some people are lucky enough never to loose. Some of those people go on to make art that let others keep theirs. R.I.P. PS3.
As mostly a survival player, this one feels diffrent. Not as paced out, the notes happen much faster and fade quicker. You dont have to think about surviving now, just flow and create. Bend and move the world to your will and whim.
@@gurpiter1843 naw i have very fond memories of this playing in survival, i think the song dropped with the Jungle update, it always played in that biome for me. and it matches so well.
The main instrument is the Opsilon Handpan, an extremely unique (and expensive) percussion type instrument. 0:00 - 0:22 Apparent melody. Percussion with tune, it’s unique, not only as an instrument, but also as a melody. 0:23 Extra Handpan kicks in, a squire to the melody if you will. Strange all the way through but it fits the instrumentation comfortably. 0:48 Chimes flutter in and out very quickly, as if it’s reverberating. The melodies continue, growing more intense. 1:00 a long, low frequency note begins to play. 1:20 is when a cool synth appears, creating a new mood. The mood could be described as creative, colorful, longing. Seemingly out of nowhere are things coming and going. Dancing around the melody, until 1:30 - 2:00 where the shaking of maracas can be heard within the musical growth. Traveling from one ear to the other, left to right, slipping past your senses while the melody distracts you. (More obvious on speakers) 2:05 A melancholy long almost 8-bit note plays, followed by 2:10 3 beautiful notes, the third one being held longer, more pronounced, followed perfectly into a finishing part, and repeating only once. 2:22 The parts conclude, but the original melody remains. Followed shortly by its squire. Synths are creeping in. A high-pitched sweep leads into 3:00. The melody pronounces itself differently, shakers are more obvious in the background, low tones are being played obviously leading up to something, then 3:14 Strings are sneakily added to the handpan melody. 3:37, a beautiful low bass plays to accompany the rest of the melody. 3:55 you hear a high-pitched sweep into 3:59, a new instrument arises, flute like, it emphasizes the rest of the melody seemingly singlehandedly, and leads very smoothly into 4:11, where the background violin comes out of hiding behind the rest of the song. The long notes combine with the layers of synths and strong percussive melody to create such a beautiful sound. 4:20 Double forte. 4:33 Triple forte. Majestic. It’s conclusive on the highest level. 4:46 - 5:10 the flute lingers, the violin has left the stage, all that is left is the handpan, and strings. Finishing off the song, as if they’re laying someone down to rest. Indescribable. Truly an incredible song, one of my favourites.
In 2016, When I played Minecraft creative world for the first time, this song was playing. This song has a special place for me. I play Minecraft just listen to this music. Underrated but GOAT soundtrack.
They often use this song in the meme: the world if *random thing* never existed But think of a world where C418 still created Minecraft's music He gave us what we have, and I am so grateful for that, his ability to tie music to memories, is a power few can master

Can't believe I'm lying in bed getting emotional to a freaking Minecraft song man. About 3 and a half minutes in, all the memories came flooding back. The countless hours spent over at my, now deceased, friend's house playing Xbox 360 Minecraft before finally getting PC's and figuring out how to host a server to play. Those were good times and i definitely miss my homie 😔
this song, it's so rare whenever I listen to it, it sounds like somewhere I've been, some memories that I don't remember well, a bright and beautiful sun, it feels so warm... it feels so amazing
you don’t feel lonely, you feel isolated. you’re alone but not lonely… you acknowledge that you’re by yourself and you realize that no one else is there to bother you, you are embraced in your own little world. you feel tranquility and obsolete, you don’t care about the outside world. it isn’t loneliness, it’s self isolation and it’s much more calming
This song. Every time I hear it I stop and listen to it. It gives me chills. The Minecraft OST will never be beat. It’s one of the songs that feel so modern yet brings you back to when you were first playing Minecraft.
HELL YEAH, luckily my PC and xbox still are too OLD to experience the cheap new dirt microsoft made, just pure nostalgia, and yeah, I still play with the same guy I did in 2012 to now
I relate to that heavily. I used to spend all my time of creative building whatever I wanted and this soundtrack was the theme to all this. Survival mode never really caught my interest at all.
Same. Although I grew up with pocket edition, which didn't have the music. I have played Java a little bit, and back when I first started playing, I loved the music that played in the background, especially this one. I still remember that tree house I made deep in the jungle with the green stained glass, and how I watched the rain outside through the green windows. Listening to this song all these years later brings me to tears remembering my early days of Minecraft, when I didn't really know what I was doing, and whatever I built, I was super proud of it, no matter how weird it looked.
I think this song perfectly captures the very essence of minecraft. It starts small and is almost trying to figure itself out in a way? Like find a purpose? And then, picking up on its tunes it, what another comment desribed perfectly, blooms. Thats when you finally get it, when you finally understand the possibilities of the game. At around the middle of the song it quiets down for a while only to come back with all of the previous tunes in harmony working together almost making a piece of art that is any minecraft world anyone has worked on for a long time
It is like the quiet bit represents when “the well has gone dry”, but soon or later, the well refills with new ideas and imaginations (represented by the new melody kicking in).
I spent over an hour trying to find this song, just to listen to 3:37. It is hands-down my favorite point of any Minecraft song. I vividly associate it with walking through a desert in Minecraft at midday, passing desert wells and cacti, and climbing over sandy dunes, and staring across the wide and endless sandy expanse, possibly into a Mesa or Forest biome too. Thank you C418. Thank you.
I always liked Aria math, and I think it's one of the songs that encloses Minecraft soul in its entirety. The slow start that has an adventure vibe, introduces a feeling that just incentivizes you to keep playing, or as I like to refer to as "curiosity". It throws you into this cube world without anything to make your first steps, everything is new, and it can seem scary at first but at the end, you try it out. You break some wood, make a crafting table and overall, spend time on the basics of Minecraft such as mining, exploring and overall, finding something new. This song specifically refers to that, the feeling of exploring, finding something new and curiosity at his highest peak. Later on when the song activates and begins to be more loud it's when you start to have fun, find a village for example, learn trades with villagers, learn about the crops and the animals, find chests with new loot and look at the village structures and wish one of those was your house. It all is perfectly encapsulated so new players can get interest in the game, new stuff and finding joy or entertainment in learning, slowly but surely getting the hand and gist of it. Understanding how crafting works, memorizing these and learning the mechanics of the game. Mining and finding new resources such as diamonds, gold and obsidian. Looking up and seeing an advancement and knowing that there's more, completing those that you left behind or didn't notice and finding new ones. Learning about the "nether" and getting hyped for it, figuring out how to build the portal, finding a new dimension and learning even more about this one. The process of learning and curiosity it's what this song has the most, the feeling and the burning passion of such it's what makes it so unique. And at the end of this song when you have everything including diamond armor, finding one of the last achievements that leads you to the end, in which you fight a final boss of the game that doesn't seem to had one in the first place. Once you defeat it, it gives you satisfaction, knowing that you had beat the game, but there's still more to it than you know, It has a "final boss"?, that does mean that Minecraft has it own story?. So many questions, that at the end, this song just makes you pursuit even more the answers, injecting you curiosity at his end, and when you least expect it, you have beaten the game in a couple of days, or in other cases could've taken longer, the point is that you beat it. And the journey that this unique game as took you for, is over. Minecraft will always be an iconic face for video games, but the whole point of this, it's just to give more credit too to the songs and the composer C418, truly an artist that knew how to captive the essence of this beautiful game, with every note and melody placed carefully to be the instrument that will teach the story of anyone that had the pleasure to listen to this, to be part of the story that marked every player that played this game. And that's the nostalgia that everyone also refers to, apart from all of that, this game indulges nostalgia, nostalgia of a time when all of this happened to you, when it was your first time, and you were writing your own history. To all that reads this, please stay safe, and no matter what, stay alive as this song does throughout the decades, let the spirit of adventure never die.

True true bro
I can confirm you should not look at the sun
It feels like you are at an adventure
On god
0:55 if you listen closely, you can hear the underlying synths switch between high and low notes for a perfect transition into 0:56 and blends perfectly into
0:57 Ambient, slightly distorted chimes that seem far off in the distance, but the impact is still there. It sounds so beautiful
0:58 - 1:03 the chimes flutter in and out very quickly, almost like it's reverberating
1:04 a low frequency long note synth begins building up as the chimes and synth notes dance around the beat
1:10 the first time we can hear that nostalgic melody, very subtle and incomplete, with those ambient chimes fluttering back in with a more distorted, underwater sound to them, leading into
1:20 a very sad tune of shifting long note synths, which comes in full force and takes center stage until
1:30 where the shaking of maracas can be heard in the undergrowth, which seems to come from mostly the left earphone at first, with a little bit in the middle when
1:40 rolls around and the maracas shift to the right earphone and gain volume along with the speed of the shakes
(these alternate focus quite a multitude of times, if you listen closely)
2:05 an almost 8-bit, high pitched long note synth winds up
2:10 transitions into a beautiful three notes, until
2:11 holds the fourth note and an underlying lower note 8-bit synth accompanies it
2:28 The way it shifts tone is very subtle and fast, but it sounds SO good and i noticed the beat flutters a bit around this point as the note drags on, and the maracas stop shaking
2:40 the beginning and end of the nostalgic melody, played with a slow break between for maximum heart wrenching nostalgia.
ALSO 3:37 when the BASS KICKS IN
There are so many more minute details that I don’t really have the time to type out, but make no mistake this is still one of my favorite Minecraft songs, up there with blocks for me tbh.
The Rattler this description is great, I love this comment so much and it definitely deserves more likes

When you have all the power in the world, the world becomes much smaller and seems so empty
When you've already seen the far lands, already built your castle, and filled it with mobs and villagers of your own design who couldn't possibly pose a threat to you, what is left? Nothing is left for the man who has it all
I remember extending villages, building great things, and making the most fancy floating house in the world.
Dancing around the melody, until
1:30 - 2:00 where the shaking of maracas can be heard within the musical growth. Traveling from one ear to the other, left to right, slipping past your senses while the melody distracts you. (More obvious on speakers)
2:05 A melancholy long almost 8-bit note plays, followed by
2:10 3 beautiful notes, the third one being held longer, more pronounced, followed perfectly into a finishing part, and repeating only once.
2:22 The parts conclude, but the original melody remains. Followed shortly by its squire. Synths are creeping in. A high-pitched sweep leads into
3:00. The melody pronounces itself differently, shakers are more obvious in the background, low tones are being played obviously leading up to something, then
3:14 Strings are sneakily added to the handpan melody.
3:37, a beautiful low bass plays to accompany the rest of the melody.
3:55 you hear a high-pitched sweep into
3:59, a new instrument arises, flute like, it emphasizes the rest of the melody seemingly singlehandedly, and leads very smoothly into
4:11, where the background violin comes out of hiding behind the rest of the song. The long notes
combine with the layers of synths and strong percussive melody to create such a beautiful sound.

I can’t leave this song half way through, something about it forces me to listen to the end
IKR, I feel like I just need to hear it all and remember the great times of the past.
GodsonGamerGr 2018 minecraft is rising up!
Psycho it’s coming back very quickly
That's how I feel about every single C418 Minecraft soundtracks. It's just something else compared to the new 1.16 soundtracks
The end is the best
Damn C418 is so talented that entire generations get so many emotions from his themes such as nostalgia. That is true talent right there
They often use this song in the meme: the world if *random thing* never existed
But think of a world where C418 still created Minecraft's music
He gave us what we have, and I am so grateful for that, his ability to tie music to memories, is a power few can master
@@Abyss8564 man this is so true. Minecraft isn't the same as it was with c418. I would really like to know how minecraft music would sound now if he would still making such songs.
as of now its 2 generations, may even one feeling nostalgia but im sure this will expand in the future
Im 😢 now, because kids are getting hyped about the newer music, and it compares nothing like the nostalgic music
Now he has been technically fired from minecraft by microsoft and now some woman took over his place and his songs he created now no longered belong to him as said by microsoft
I remember playing Minecraft when I was like, 7, and not knowing how to play survival mode so I just built stuff in creative. I used to play with my friend all the time, and it was genuinely amazing. We always built random fun stuff. Sadly, that friend had to move away. We couldn’t play anymore due to the difference in time zones. This song just makes me remember those times. Alden, if you’re reading this, which you probably aren’t, stay safe.
3:01 is actually goated. I've gone through every single Minecraft song just to listen to this fire beat
This part is about going from earth to another universe in 1 second
i stroke it to this segment at least twice a day
This part gives me genuine goosebumps, I feel as if all these 11 years of playing Minecraft flashed before my eyes
Same bro I've been looking for this song for about two hours.

This song always makes me feel lonely... in a good way? It's hard to describe
This song is the most normal nostalgic sad but makes you smile type of song
@@JaceXcheese yes exactly lol
you don’t feel lonely, you feel isolated. you’re alone but not lonely… you acknowledge that you’re by yourself and you realize that no one else is there to bother you, you are embraced in your own little world. you feel tranquility and obsolete, you don’t care about the outside world. it isn’t loneliness, it’s self isolation and it’s much more calming
I think "serene" might be the word you're looking for.

This song. Every time I hear it I stop and listen to it. It gives me chills. The Minecraft OST will never be beat. It’s one of the songs that feel so modern yet brings you back to when you were first playing Minecraft.
If you listen to this, there is no way u don't feel sad, nostalgic and happy at the same time
It feels like uncertainensy, and happiness
I just feel like a part of me is missing
bro i just feel different and nostalgic
HELL YEAH, luckily my PC and xbox still are too OLD to experience the cheap new dirt microsoft made, just pure nostalgia, and yeah, I still play with the same guy I did in 2012 to now

The nostalgia hitting me when i hear this music makes me cry man
this one resonates particularly strongly with me, as i was never really interested by survival mode, only the limitless power of creative.
Китоглав на аве?
That's me on the wii u, until I started a survival world and got lots of iron, ;) good times...
I remember when I also never played survival mode but only because I was too cowardly to play survival mode.
This song just has so much movement, like you're on a grand adventure.
Yeah i actually wait for this song to play for me to go adventuring
ImSanic on creative?
Oh no it's you again
Snow Drifter1 me? Tf is jevil?
no, because this plays in creative
I think this song perfectly captures the very essence of minecraft. It starts small and is almost trying to figure itself out in a way? Like find a purpose? And then, picking up on its tunes it, what another comment desribed perfectly, blooms. Thats when you finally get it, when you finally understand the possibilities of the game. At around the middle of the song it quiets down for a while only to come back with all of the previous tunes in harmony working together almost making a piece of art that is any minecraft world anyone has worked on for a long time
it gives me a feeling of freedom, and weightlessness just like im in real life creative mode
It is like the quiet bit represents when “the well has gone dry”, but soon or later, the well refills with new ideas and imaginations (represented by the new melody kicking in).
This is so poetic holy
And in the end, the attraction to exploring worlds fades, and the game becomes more of a pleasant memory than a way to entertain yourself.
I liked the way you said it
The real song start at 2:34
True
It’s like the song has two parts to it
I spent over an hour trying to find this song, just to listen to 3:37.
