Wins a tournament by mistake, so he concludes that, to continue winning, using a controller that causes more misinputs is the way to go.
Switching from something you're familiar with to something with more potential is bound to temporarily dip your success rate, but this experience could easily give him enough of a feel to conclude that sacrifice is worth it, Stick reset time and even physical distance between input gates are real factors to consider at high level. Feeling the freedom from that firsthand and knowing he can get his accuracy back once he's accustomed, it's a pretty reasonable decision.

I think it really reflects highly of Brian_F as a player. No matter the controller he adapts, changing his playstyle to make up for what he can or can not

0:01 - I like knowing he's a human-being and just trying to deal with the inates stresses involved with human communication. Gotta say. I was very impressed by Marv Luke. His spacing and MU knowledge was super good. The Vshift on the string that makes FWD MK plus was CLEAN
i would suggest maybe moving the player cam/hand cam somewhere so that it doesn't block the meters on the right and the health on the left. it's not a huge problem tho, i enjoy watching regardless. c:

After seeing these sets and remembering what Brian said about pad being hitbox but smaller. I can now with confidence go back to pad and feel like I know how to play street fighter.
I bought a stick becasue I like arcade games and struggled getting DP on pad. Now that i return to it with my better muscle memory, a poad feels better in my hands for DP than a stick.
Thank you Brian for being the pioneer I needed to find confidence in myself to comfortably play FGs again.

honestly yeah it's almost a detriment. you NEED to be good already for them to up your game. but once you know your fundamentals and inputs, then actually build an ergonomic hitbox that makes sense to you and actually ya know LEARN it i'd say it certainly makes you a better player just from input simplicity (in a weird kinda galaxy brain way where they are literally harder inputs but they are more precise and harder to whiff) and it's probably the only accessory that will make you better. i can see why people would say some dumb ignorant shit like "using a hitbox is cheating" but they are just dumb and wrong. as long as there are no macros there are no cheats.

I was the laggy player, sometimes you just gotta restart your pc with sfv. I think it's some memory leak or something. Happens like once every 2-3 months to me
@@Brian_F Yeah, Tekken is like that all the time with desyncs and sometimes it'll flat out crash the game. I heard you say that you'd need to restart your game but it's funny.
I think it's less about hitbox and more about how you play and your fundamentals
