On the real though, the amount of luck skill, hard word, and grit that has to go into making this moment happen is mind boggling, I’m so blessed to have met so many wonderful people in the fgc and I’m looking forward to all that is to come. Thank you Brian_f for being a wonderful team captain and inspiration for me and the rest of the team for having my back when things seem bleak, and of course Stack and Andy for hosting this insane season of STL, I’d love to compete again some time.
Jesus fucking Christ, Bardo is such a shonen protagonist. He really got stronger with the power of friendship and listening to his master Brine. Also, mad respect to Yoast, Big Tex and DooDoo, Brine got the dream team. What a good series
the ear lean at 22:39 is too good bardo's popoff was so good too, i love seeing less skilled players being coached by more skilled players, its really sick to see
I can't lie, I was clapping in my seat by the end of this. This was very inspirational as a hard-stuck Silver player myself. I think we've all experienced the pure frustration of playing against Brazilian Ken's and it was very empowering seeing that Rog outplay the Ken and carry his team to victory. No joke that inspired me to get back on the grind, improve, and climb through the ranks. Well done Bardo, slayer of the WiFi-Kens.
@@runiih Some characters have certain aspects that attract players from different regions to play them. In Brawlhalla I've rarely met a South American player who doesn't main a hammer character, so I assume its pretty similar for a character like Ken.
you couldn't write a script better than that. If Brian had to come all the way back and do it again in the end, it would have been predictable. But to have bardo, the most nervous boy on the squad, stop the tide from the edge of death and do a TOTAL reverse perfect? too good! You can tell it meant a lot to him to conquer the nerves, what a great moment in his gaming career.
I don't even play street fighter but watching bardo struggle then to gain confidence and rhythm shows it's more than a fighting game for some people. Props to Brian for aspiring and cultivating people in the FGC.
Witnessing Bardo evolve this quickly was genuinely amazing as you could feel the nerves go away and the impeccable spacing come through. Also, if Bardo can adapt this quickly at this stage in his training arc, I foresee some tournament success in his future.
This is awesome, this type of event is so good, i'm gonna check out on the organizers for sure because ideas like these deserve recognition, congratulations brian and team, hope we have more in the future
Dude what the fuck. That last set was a whole fucking character arc. It had absolutely everything a good plot needed. Lets fucking go Bardo, you're the GOAT!
I wasn't prepared for what a journey this teams tournament was going to be. I had my doubts about Bardo entering the last match but it was inspiring to watch a player literally grow and learn before your eyes. When Bardo won and didn't even realize it was over I felt emotional but I could keep the floodgates up for a bit but when he said Brian was his reason for starting SFV and that he won for the team the water works leaked through. Amazing games and shoutouts to ALL of team Brian_F for being so positive and presenting the best experience I've seen on twitch in a long while.
Bardo had me in tears at the end there. Brian, I was re-watching one of your videos in which you answered the Street Fighter questions from Twitter. In one of your responses you talked about how you found your bubble and how you've made a small mark on something you're passionate about, but I think you might be underestimating how significant your content is to the people who I believe are your intended audience. I find myself in a similar position as Bardo in that your content has given me the knowledge and confidence to pick the game back up. I had basically giving up from feeling like I was unable to grasp the absolute basics of the game and get out of the bronze ranks. After a few hours of training to re-learn my character, I went from bronze to super silver over the next two days. It may not be a huge accomplishment/rank up for those in the higher ranks, but it was mind-blowing how much I improved since the last time I played the game almost a year ago. Hitting anti-airs, understanding different meaty and wake-up options, and dealing with the absolute chaos of bronze kens. Over time, you've indirectly shown me how to do those things with confidence. In my younger years I had competed at a world level in a non-fighting game, but to be at this base level in Street Fighter was extremely challenging for me. There's still so much I don't understand about the game and I will have to keep putting in the time to get better, but I wanted to stress that the content you're putting out has helped me, and obviously others, do more in this game than they would have otherwise. The end of this video is a testament to that fact. I hope you're proud of what you've created here and in your stream and I look forward to what you'll be doing in the future.
The thing that is kind of funny is that Bardo is someone who seem to have a lot of issues with nerves... Just like Bryan who said it was a big issue for him. So seeing this platinum balrog player who is struggling with nerves is like watching this reflection of younger brian in my head. All the advices and support to try to make him calm down and be able to adapt his gameplan is huge, it is something pro player/veterans take a LOT of time to be able to create and trying to work that skillset for someone who is not that strong is hard. This last match was truly a match against himself in some sort, very very cool. Also the set between brian and spaceboy made me loose my shit, that was WAY too fucking intense with way too much clutch or pressure. Brian back air throw the mix-up on daigo appearance, brian converting flawlessly from juggle crush counter HP, the insane pressure in the corner by spaceboy, all the ex-rush punch to vt2 with akira. Fuck what a set. I don't think Spaceboy should have change his v-trigger, it seemed like he had such a way to rush/bully oro with it the moment he had a bar and allowed for so much dmg, I am surprised he decided to make this switch.
What a beautiful end to the league man! Absolutely amazing. This is what's Street Fighter is about. Love all the SF6 vibe and independent tournaments like these keeping the energy going. Love it!
Yo. This one meant a lot to me. I struggle so hard with SF5, and it's awesome to see someone step up like that. Was BAWLING. Well done Bardo, well done BrianF.
damn. this tournament had it all. suspense. intrigue. rivalry. regret. pain. hype. tears. woosh. fantastic stuff. GGs to all competitors and organizers.
31:58 and after this little lecture it's like a switch clicked. Finally getting over your nerves and getting into the flow is such a good feeling big ups, nay, HUGE ups to bardo
Can we keep Team Twitter Guys around for, like, every future video ever? This is just such amazing energy and entertainment you all got there, so damn good. Greatly enjoyed this tournament format and all the content that came with it. Can't wait to see more from all the kings.
these videos have to be my favourite ones of the channel, the energy from everyone in the call at any given time was just incredible, much love you guys what an amazing show you all put on!
I'm so hyped to see Bardo take this moment and push it forward. It's always awesome seeing players gain that experience and use it to improve themselves further.
Damn that was mad intense. At first I was like "damn Bigtex urien performance is amazing." then "damn that brianf Oro was good af." then "LETS GO BARDOOOOOO"
I've been waiting for this video to get uploaded ever since I saw it live. Definitely a fun event capped off with a very beautiful moment. A+ work on the thumbnail as well.
I've been binging some BrianF for the past week and this video was mad inspirational, I feel like Bardo's whole arc was awesome. Looking forward to the release of SF6. Also please give your editor a raise, the soundtrack choices for this video were absolute FLAMES.
Dude, I love this vid. As someone who purely spectates the FGC, I love how you had your teammates back. No toxicity, just some advice, some coaching, and seeing the comeback, the hype afterwards... I just love all of it!
I love the feeling that the whole team being on voice and being able to talk through the big moments, it's really cool to see the mentality that goes behind the big moments that you don't get when you see people in regular EVO bracket or whatever. The music really brought the emotions to the height too
Team Brian F had all the vibes, the skill and the attitude to take this home I may not have been able to tune in live but there were no doubts in mind ya'll had this.
hands down the best, most wholesome sf content I've ever seen. I was watching on the elliptical at the gym had to add an extra 10 minutes so I could finish lol
This is by far one of my favorite moments in the fgc. Yeah I've seen a lot of tournaments with hype fights, but the growth and the support of the team displayed here reminds me of what I love about fighting games and makes me keep coming back and watching this.
I hit him! skeletonpls

Once again, A real treat to be on the same team as THE twitter guy, and it only helps that I was able to show out pretty well :-)
Also I KNOW BARDO THE ABSOLUTE

@@bardotheabsolute6019 you're godlike Bardo amazing performance
LETS GOOOO BIG TEX
He on that king shit #BigTexNation
This video is a masterpiece. Brian acting like a retired coach for Balrog and bardo aspiring to main Rog because of Brian hits so damn hard.
I cried manly tears at the end. The "I won? I won!" Straight out of a movie
Jesus fucking Christ, Bardo is such a shonen protagonist. He really got stronger with the power of friendship and listening to his master Brine.

What a good series
Was a pleasure shilling your twitch and youtube :^) had a ton of fun, shoutouts to tex and bardo for being goats
And if YOU wanna have a ton of fun make sure you hit that SUBSCRIBE button on Brian_F’s TWITCH CHANNEL
Mr make it happen
That "Battle for all people's souls" OST made the final battle more intense. Really felt like the final showdown.
The song title fits so much with this event too
the ear lean at 22:39 is too good
bardo's popoff was so good too, i love seeing less skilled players being coached by more skilled players, its really sick to see
Low-Key my favorite part

That 5 game comeback from Bardo when he was down 3 games is quite frankly amazing. Great presence of mind on his part.
The adaptation from Bardo was honestly amazing. Props to him and the whole team. Congrats on the victory!

Wow the drama, the plot twists and the emotional ending. Amazing series! Shout out to the team and to Stack.
I've been absolutely obsessed with team tournaments like this, seeing all the players gas eachother up is so sweet and hype dude omg
Real life “protagonist believes in himself” moment right here, awesome stuff
