Get yourself a neutral strap cover for $35, an airtag/smart tag for $25, Carlock for $50 and the Dodge Security RF Hub update for free and youre pretty much theft proof outside of them towing it.

I work at a truck stop just outside the city limits of Phoenix and the Phoenix police like to drop off people they picked up in Phoenix for whatever reason and dump them off in front of our store. They dumped off one guy who waited about ten seconds after they drove away to break into and steal a truck from our parking lot and hop on the highway heading right back into Phoenix with it. We were amazed at how fast he did it while watching the video. Literally not even two minutes. He even drove away all casually like it was his truck.
We were impressed.

They don't come as standard equipment. You have to buy them and put them on. Dodge recently made it as optional equipment because so many wheels were being stolen

I just found out my ram truck has that same type of pull system to put it in neutral when I needed a jump but I was in a position where they couldn’t get next to my truck. He popped a lil square next to the steering wheel and pushed my truck backwards. I was flabbergasted

The MPR cable connects directly to the tranny to put it in neutral in case of dead battery the push start button won't let you switch out of park 👍🏾 I'm 1 of the repair guys at the plant, trust me. I'm not at the charger/challenger plant but it's all the same system on our shit

Just so everyone is aware, basically all cars have a way to put the car in neutral without the key fob being inside/without the car being started. They are there for if you break down and the vehicle needs to be moved. From a mechanic’s standpoint, these transmission lockouts are so helpful.

@@christophervongvatunyu4320 I've been working at a body shop for a bit now and extra tips I learned was if you're painting the door, it's better to take off the mirror and belt molding (the trim at the bottom of the window) for a better paint job in the end. The mirror can get in the way, and if you're unlucky, the clear coat could stick in that gap between the door and the belt molding.

Here in Texas they move them to see if it’s being tracked them change out the ECU with a preprogrammed key then it’s gone. I get a lot of people that hind air tags in their car and recover them. Love towing those cars $$!!
Happened to me ten years ago. I switched that red strap to a different location and ran a cable to it. My dodge couldn’t be put into neutral by that method anymore. But I don’t buy Chrysler anymore either.
