Same thing happened to me in Dallas TX. My car was stolen in broad daylight, behind a bank with cameras and it seemed the detective had no interest in my case and dropped the ball when it was finally found three weeks later. I was given two different days that it was recovered from the PD impound lot. My insurance company gave me the hardest time over 3 months. My car was totaled but I had to send it to my own body shop because the insurance company low-balled the repairs twice. All airbags deployed the body had a great deal of damage and the front passenger wheel was pushed into the wheel well. Bad experience with every customer service representative involved and the "detective" assigned to my case.

Exactly why I have a VW Beetle and a Toyota Camry. I'm not a Mopar person but it sucks to have your car stolen especially that you paid for it nobody deserves that.
It's been 3 weeks since my Hellcat's been stolen. Police doesn't seem to care. I work my tail off to have nice things, & to have it taken away so easily is devastating. If they ever catch the thugs that did it, I'm pretty confident they'll be out of jail before the ink drys. Something has to be done about this national matter. A slap on the risk is just not good enough. It encourage criminals to make a living stealing

This guy that I know, got air suspension on his widebody charger and drop it to the ground .. they don’t steal charger that much in nyc, matter of fact , there’s a lot of them being parked on the road but He won’t risk his car being stolen or towed.. I believe he got some special type of nuts on his wheels too. Better to get a steering wheel lock too, the ones that covers the entire steering wheel that runs for around $700. Because they can just cut the steering wheel with the other type of locks.. plus, tracking device is a must . Stay safe y’all , it’s a cold world and they thieves will watch you work hard to get your car just to take it from you .

Thanks for sharing your story. Having a car stolen is really a negative impact to your life! Now, are you going to have an IGLA system installed with a Compustar alarm and Drone tracking on your replacement car? I’ve heard that’s the best combination for anti theft components.
The real solution to the massive auto theft problem is to return to what they did in the old days with horse thieves, death by hanging. No repeat offenders after that punishment. It would also discourage other criminals from stealing cars.
Valet parking won’t work either 2 people I follow had their Hellcats stolen from valet parking that had “guards”.

FCA for Fiat and Chrysler of North America, they make the crappiest version of there U connect systems. The hellcats and Scat packs are known to be stolen, and then they might be parted them out, or even crash them but sell them for profit.

I just bought a Neutral Strap cover for my yet to be delivered charger, question is what do you do if you break down and car has cover strap installed,and tow truck has to put in neutral to get on flatbed, but has tamper proof screws???
You can keep a bit to the specific type of tamper proof screws hidden in the car somewhere for emergency/shop access similar to how you keep a locking lug nut key with the car.
Did your insurance give you any money for your mods like your wrap etc? Do you have USAA, that’s what I have?
I have a video coming out about insurance. For me, the short answer is no, but it wasn’t a bad thing necessarily. I also don’t have USAA anymore. I’ve had horrible experiences with USAA

This is why you gotta watch your surroundings. I have a VW Beetle that I have put a lot of money into and even though it's no red eye it don't mean I could be a potential target. People will still just about anything these days. I only use the VW for shows, car meets, and occasional cruises then back in the garage and covered and my daily is a beat up Toyota Camry. It sucks that people rather steal your car than just get a job and save your money like a decent person.

I had my TRX stolen here in San Antonio while it was at the dealer for service. It was last seen at the dealer on 29 June and seen in Houston according to an insurance investigator on 5 July. Still waiting…claim was filed on 11 July when I was notified by the dealer it was stolen. Makes me sick.
One question, has anyone considered pulling some fuses every time you leave your car? It doesn’t take much time and it pretty much disables the vehicle.
It's not the electronics that will stop the car from being stolen its the physical part where u can access the neutral lever to flat toe in the center console if u can lock that up some how and add a steering wheel club u might be able to deter thieves

Our blue dodge charger 392 skate pack was stolen new years 3 a.m. dec 31st 2021. We had uconnect and when we reported it stolen same thing they lock us out of the app and they did live tracking and have not found the car. We had to call multiple times for updates and it was random locations even out of state then back in state it was odd then they stopped recieving tracking signal on jan 3rd 2022. It was a push start button. They seriously need to do something false advertisement dont rely on uconnect.

The police needs to start leaving chargers with trackers on them around the cities and find out where these cars are being taken. Those garages that accept them should be shut down and those guys should get the max amount of time possible!!!

The parking brake is a manual parking brake so they can release it regardless of the battery or the ignition

Special order your hellcat with no badges make it look like a standard V6 and you can consider it a sleeper then people will be less app to steal it it's more fun that way because people don't know what you really have out in California there was a guy in Fresno that made superchargers that fit under your hood so nobody knew you had one I put it on my 89 Chevy stepside and I could take vets trans am Camaros all day long and the look on their face was amazing when we would return to the parking lot and they would say what in the hell have you got in that thing it was fun to show him sometimes I wouldn't show him I would just say I have a special tune in it it would really piss him off
If they couldn’t find it.. 99% chance it was chopped the the engine went into a Chrysler 300 and the other parts that weren’t needed were sold for parts.

My 2018 Hellcat Widebody was stolen 2 weeks ago…they broke window, reprogrammed the key and started it with the new key. Police is totally useless here, waiting for my insurance to take it as loss.

@@WIDEBODYNATION I’m in New Jersey, the detectives told me when they arrest the car thieves, they became released even before trial, as it is not considered as a serious crime in NJ. I guess that’s why car thefts are 26% higher in NJ than the national average across the country…

I don’t have an exact answer for you on that. I’ve heard that the “steering wheel locks” that are in these cars from the factory are notoriously easy to brake or overpower.

My Durango was stolen a week ago! Some how they disabled airtag and Uconnect. They tossed the airtag out the window once they located the device. Uconnect is full of shit and is a waste of money.

my scat pack was stolen right from my driveway i called the police as the thieves were pulling off my wife followed behind them until the police started chasing but they of course they gave upon the chase then the next day i get a dm from the person who stole my car trying to extort money out of i gave the police all of this information an they did absolutely nothing the only reason i got my car back is because I made a post on my local news page at which point the person with my car a 14 yr old kid begged me to take it down so his parents didn't see it i told him to tell me where my car is and ill delete it he lead me to the exact location of my car that i had to go an put my life at risk to recover it i called to police when i got the car it took them an hour an half to even call me back of course i just pulled off I'm not waiting on Detroit police but i did all the work to get my car back the police are absolutely no help when it comes to these cars they look at it as another stolen car an they don't care at all about all the hard work i did to get my car for it just to be stolen moral of the story don't count on the police for nothing
