That cougar chase (never seen one before) was really amazing. Ask someone how to kill a cougar without a shot and they will come up with knifes and stuff (good luck) but probably never with "my horse"
this is one of the coolest looking horses in the game imo. it's not just tanky and brave for stats, it looks like it too. it's incredibly useful when you're getting ambushed and you want to fight on foot because the game automatically unequips your rifles when you dismount for some reason. most horses run away if you're getting shot when you dismount so it's hard to get your rifles back but this one stays still so it's a lot easier.
Absolutely the best horse in the game! Never bucked me once in any playthrough I've done. Bears, panthers, cougars, gators, wolves... it sidesteps, stomps around a little, but is absolutely FEARLESS!
I came across this horse by chance recently. I named him Llamrei after King Arthur’s horse 🐴 the setting with the waterfall and this beauty of a animal just felt right for it.
I tamed one of these but never used it much because I got the Braithwaite Turk right after. But the perlino was attached to me, it was weird. If I hitched my horse at camp, the perlino would come over on its own and nose between us. It would run down the path to camp to greet us on our return. Its part of the programming, but it was begging for action. When I finally took it out, it was incredible. Stays loyal in battle, never leaves me hanging, stands tall against everything that threatens. I know there is no programming on that stuff, apparently, but i swear something is going on with this horse. Random yes, but its there.

My favourite horse is still the golden Turkoman you can buy in Saint Denis... Standard/WarHorse... really fast and solid... - and when it rains its fur is like liquid gold!
The Turkoman are freightened little girls, when compared to the Andalusian. And speed and accelleration does not matter, a Ton of videos comparing horses speed can confirm this.

Easily my favourite horse in the entire game.
I just recently got this beautiful horse at the beginning of chapter 6. Haven’t gotten much play time with him but from what I’ve seen, he’s pretty well against any attacks, maybe not the bravest but he tries.
As a test, I just went to get this Andalusian to see how brave it is. At Level 1 he's a total chicken so far. Backed off from snakes and totally refused to move down the road at all because a black bear was a good distance off the trail in the woods. I'm going to level him up to 4 and see if he is better. Will comment after testing.
So the horse was afraid of everything at L1. Now at L4, it was still skittish, but I was able to ride right up to and past a black bear plus ride over the top of solitary gators. Horses that are afraid will stop before you get to the gator. So horse bond level matters a lot.
I ran into this thing the other day and Broke it, ran around the corner into the waterfall to grab the treasure map and came back out and the horse was gone. I didnt even know it was rare. Was odd to find it alone in that spot as Id never seen it in any of my previous 2 playthroughs.
This horse, with the panther saddle is a good one for a low Honor play through. Behold the pale horse and the man that's sits on him, his name is death.
Isn't it frustratingly slow when coming from some of the faster horses? I used an arabian through my entire first playthrough and to be fair I didn't notice the skittishness until I started researching other breeds, but it was still near impossible to kill it. I don't know if the sacrifice in speed would frustrate me. Going to give a warhorse a bash and see...
It’s not “frustratingly” slow to me, like other workhorses. Won a race with her and got stat boosts that helped also. Was using her more than either of my Arabians once I realized she basically doesn’t spook. I think I JUST reached “this is now your temporary horse” bond level and a bear came by. She was a lil resistant to go that way towards it, but other than that, she didn’t even flinch. That was all I needed to know lol.

@@HBGP-007there is. Not as scaled as the previous guy says. But you can see by yourself that non war horses like Arabians get spooked sooo easily, while Andalusians not. Don’t pay attention to people saying that horse’s bravery is a busted myth.
@@secretweapon7764 but never seen or heard about an Arabian behaving like the Andalusian shown in this vid. The game guide itself mentions it like a very brave and hard to spook horse. Come on, it trampled over a cougar, it’s fire
Hey mista Rockworth ! big thx for all yer vids bud, I just returned back to gaming this superb game, fantastic game, sadly they dont make games like this anymore. BIG UP to you brother
Fun fact: I saw a wild horse when I was looking for Jim boy Calloway, it was this andalusian perlino, but just after I got him, had to duel Calloway. The horse was standing right in between , and we both got shot. I restarted the checkpoint and killed Calloway, the horse didn’t even blink with the shooting… yep, that moment I knew this was the horse I was looking for!
By the way, surely someone else in the community will have already noticed it but, according to what is reported in the wiki, if I'm not mistaken this horse actually seems to be the only wild horse (which can be found freely and for free in nature) to have one of the four statistics (health in this case) equal to "7". This certainly makes it unique in its own way.
Ive had them all, every one of them lvl max..is somehow spooking when confronting presence of preditors like wolves, snakes, bears...horses are meant in their behaviour to flee instead of attacking or staying passive....all the horses in rdr 2 are acting like that...spooky lords...lol
The Mustang is my favorite. It doesn’t panic easily even when a panther or a cougar is already in front of its face. It’s not the fastest but reliable enough to get me from point a to b.
I hope to find this pink Andalusian because all the horses in this game have always knocked me down!! Even just in front of a snake, everyone would run away 🤷🏻♂️ Maybe there's a trick to make them stay still?
No trick, it all just depends on the horse. This horse did not flinch with cougars at all, I didn’t have to calm it. Some horses may panic but won’t buck you off if you calm it. There’s no actual bravery stat, it seems to be random. Although some breeds panic a lot easier than others.
@@Richtofen-gy9cj It doesnt matter what you are chased by only how close they are. Spam calm button and have max bonding level and you will see no difference in horses bucking you off.
Immediately found it where you said. The bravery was also immediately apparent. I was riding back to camp after breaking him and got caught in the woods by a few wolves. I had a 4 bonded American Standard Bread with me following and that thing ran off immediately while this thing just stood ground and didn't even flinch.

I really wanted to like this horse, but imo the dark bay andalusian just looks so much better, and can also be had early ch2. It does have reduced stats 5/4/3/3 compared to the perlino at 7/5/3/3, but in actual use it's hardly discernible: it still has the same health stat as the foxtrotter, and only 1 point less stamina than the perlino (i never got the perlino even close to running out of stamina).
I found and broke this horse, thanks to this video. However, as I was returning to camp the panther(?) attacked us, this horse threw me, and I died. Now I don't know where to find this horse again. Any ideas? It would be truly appreciated!!
Just picked up this horse yesterday because my Arabian died and I sure as hell wasn't riding a shire everywhere. Named her Kerosene and she's my 2nd favorite horse I've ever had.
Ran into an ambush while riding where a caravan exploded. I was at level 3 bonding. The explosion got me bucked but this horse didn’t run away. Got back on an killed our way out of it
Damn, I always thought that Ardennes horses were as calm as a rock when some situations get intense. I've never really tried riding the Perlino Andalusian cause its bright blue eyes make it look kinda creepy to me 😅
It's the only horse I use in the game. Mine is a female, I don't know if it's related, but in the presence of cougars or 3 or more wolfs she bucked. Its not superfast but it takes a lot of it and in presence of shootings she keeps going.
I’m definitely now getting an Andalusian the next time I play also and encounter I had with a cougar when I had the first horse you get at level 4 bonding he dint bother bucking me off I just kept calming him eventually he became calm and I kicked the cougar till it ran off

I ran into this thing the other day and Broke it, ran around the corner into the waterfall to grab the treasure map and came back out and the horse was gone. I didnt even know it was rare. Was odd to find it alone in that spot as Id never seen it in any of my previous 2 playthroughs.
My go to horse in every playthrough❤
I got this one and the other Andalusian from that guard during the valentine bank thing, named them Butch and Sundance.
get the dark one from the lawmen or bounty hunters, they seem alot braver than the wild one. also looking for a way to get a dark bay Turkmen in chapter 2 or i guess chap 3. i know i can get one from the Braithwaite's when i get that far tho.
It trampled a cougar, and it's not brave enough? 😂
there is no brave level in this game
@@HBGP-007there is. Not as scaled as the previous guy says. But you can see by yourself that non war horses like Arabians get spooked sooo easily, while Andalusians not. Don’t pay attention to people saying that horse’s bravery is a busted myth.
I'm pretty sure it is random per horse. I've had Arabians look at wolves and laugh and war horses run away at first danger.
Thanks for watching partner. Happy gaming.
Me gusta tu forma de jugar es muy tranquila😂😂😂😂 por cierto gracias por tu caballo😅
This is my favorite horse...
It’s a great horse
Except for the hungarian halfbred... that horse didn't even flinch when I was near a bear with him.
@@tataru1298my black shire was a beast, never let me down in any kombat. i love him so much
Spam the calm button, the calmer the horse the less it will buck
@@RockworthRDR2
Ok thanks, I will try to calm the horse when he senses danger next time, and I will try to find the Andalusian pink 👍🏻
@@RockworthRDR2 Got chased by two Grizzly Bears and four Wolves and that Andalusian still didn't buck me off
Nvm, i got similar results with a Blue Roan Nokota
@@Richtofen-gy9cj It doesnt matter what you are chased by only how close they are. Spam calm button and have max bonding level and you will see no difference in horses bucking you off.
I didn't think such horses existed...
This breaks all records!
But I will also keep the Foxtrotter because I love that horse and I like his speed.
Speed doesn't matter. Just see speed comparison videos.
Easily one of the best horses in the game.
its a slow wimpy horse, i prefer the strawberry ardennes
Immediately found it where you said. The bravery was also immediately apparent. I was riding back to camp after breaking him and got caught in the woods by a few wolves. I had a 4 bonded American Standard Bread with me following and that thing ran off immediately while this thing just stood ground and didn't even flinch.
Good job partner. Thanks for watching. Scroll through my channel bro I have more content you will appreciate.
waht happens if the horse die? does it then respawn at the place you found it?
pretty sure it spawns if u come back in a few in game days when it dies
Thank you! I'll always have this horse and I'm a kid
It’s a good horse, good job kid. Happy gaming.
Are we not gonna talk about the moose?
Lol. Had to neglect the moose for the sake of the content
@@RockworthRDR2 I’ve never seen a moose there that must be rare
@@RockworthRDR2 the other day I came to the perlino horse he fell off the cliff and died and after a while of leaving and coming back it spawned and I tamed it and a moose spawned in the same spot as your video!!
That moose is freaking huge …it almost killed me during the approach and calming off the horse 😂
I missed the horse, how do I get it to respawn?
Juat got this now on my 2nd playthrough. I have high bounties all over so had to wait for some hunters to go away so they didn't scare it off. Beautiful horse.
I keep getting girls! I want a boy! 😢
If the horse is a Mare, just save the game then load the saved game. The horse should reappear as a Stallion. Same applies to the stables.
The tobiano american paint is also a brave horse , its a war and work horse , got this horse at chez porter doing the home robbery side mission havnt been thrown once .
6:25-6:40 😂😂😂 very funny try to steal a horse and got bucked off!🤣🤣🤣
I just got this guy last night. I’ve been playing for a while, but never paid much attention to the horses until recently.
You know he’s brave just from that jawline 😂
What a beauty
I found a dark bay Andalusian with a Bounty Hunter first time in 23 playthroughs I've ever seen that one
Help me to find bro
I'm looking for a long time for a best horse anyone can guide me please 😢
@@tarun5170 the best horse seems to be the horse in this video. It's literally not afraid of anything.
Finally managed to catch this horse. In Chapter two! Taming it was a piece of cake- she couldn't buck properly because we were hemmed in by the rocks.
Good demostration of the Perlino, definetly i gonna take it.. i have arabian and hungarian and always threw me in aligators, cougars, bears
This horse spoils you because of how good it is and how gorgeous it looks. I named mine braveheart and I keep coming back to it after trying new horses.
This horse and Mr.Wróbel's Hungarian halfbred are one of my favorite Horses that i always get in Chapter 2
On my current play through I have this 2 turkoman and the all black race horse by hanging dog ranch. Can't decide what one I'm going to ride till the end.
this is exactly the kind of horse I have been looking for, good lookin out Rockworth
Love ur videos.. So Great! 👍👍🤩
I always find that horse when I go do the treasure hunt in that waterfall good horse it died so stupidly during a cutscene bc I had it following me
i dont know why my perlino doesnt act like the video, it always buck me off
I found and broke this horse, thanks to this video. However, as I was returning to camp the panther(?) attacked us, this horse threw me, and I died. Now I don't know where to find this horse again. Any ideas? It would be truly appreciated!!
The best Andalusian in my opinion, and it’s my second favorite Warhorse
Just picked up this horse yesterday because my Arabian died and I sure as hell wasn't riding a shire everywhere. Named her Kerosene and she's my 2nd favorite horse I've ever had.
What’s your 1st?
@RockworthRDR2 I used to own an Appaloosa named Dolly. She was sadly killed by the Murfree Brood and there was nothing I could do.
feller really roasted you over that 1 star cougar.
Tiger striped bay mustang is also quite a unit
Ran into an ambush while riding where a caravan exploded. I was at level 3 bonding. The explosion got me bucked but this horse didn’t run away. Got back on an killed our way out of it
This is the track my boy mike plays in his That Chapter videos!!!
holy shit, you are right. i am siting here wondering where i had heard that tune!!
Damn, I always thought that Ardennes horses were as calm as a rock when some situations get intense. I've never really tried riding the Perlino Andalusian cause its bright blue eyes make it look kinda creepy to me 😅
My Ardennes is no more calm than my Appaloosan or Standarbred.
It's the only horse I use in the game. Mine is a female, I don't know if it's related, but in the presence of cougars or 3 or more wolfs she bucked. Its not superfast but it takes a lot of it and in presence of shootings she keeps going.
Definitely my go to horse in chapter two.
This horse will let you trample wolves with 4 bonding and some calming words
I’m definitely now getting an Andalusian the next time I play also and encounter I had with a cougar when I had the first horse you get at level 4 bonding he dint bother bucking me off I just kept calming him eventually he became calm and I kicked the cougar till it ran off
Just the little yep from Arthur😂😂
That Moose behind is much tougher to find than this horse man..
I always name this horse baron after my real life horse and this horse and Buell are the best ones to me
Thank you. A very nice horse and useful.
Andalusian and the Hungarian Halfbred are my favorite horses. Rapid-fast horses are no good if they're going to buck you off seeing shadows.
