I will never forget that if it had not been for Nixon, we would have been destroyed.
1973 was a tactical victory for Israel. By the end of the war, the road to Damascus and Cairo was wide open, and the Egyptian 3rd Army was cut off and surrounded. But the war would achieve Sadat's geopolitical aims- the return of the Sinai. Syria got NOTHING out of the war except dead soldiers.
Israel goal was to defend itself. Egypt goal was to capture the sinai. at the end of the war Israel held sinai and prevented Egypt from been close to its people. On the other end, Egypt didn't hold sinai, lost over 10% of it's army and more than 8000 soliders were taking as prisoners. I think Israel scored its goal...

@b52gf16c Once The Israeli army received US "aid", they managed to fight. Prior to that even after mobilizing Israel was on the verge of defeat. Their planes were shot out of the sky and their tanks picked off by Egyptian infantry. And of course if one country is abiding by a cease fire while the other continues to march what do you expect? The Israelis could not support the losses they encountered for long. The Arabs could. The political victory was much larger than the military one
He Ma No.... we will not forget that they were trapped when 1. they crossed the canal with two armored divisions 2. Cut the life line of the Egyptian 3rd. army. 3. Reached to 100 km of the outskirts of Cairo And yes.... the soldiers were quite happy to go home when Egypt surrendered and begged for a ceasefire. No one will forget. But you are right... they were extremely happy to withdraw. It took years to get rid of the stench of being in Egypt.
there were 1000 tanks ready in Cairo to repel your attack, and btw Israel's forces on African soil weren't a huge number, and you were surrounded by Egyptian forces from everywhere.
Another lie of the Mubarak regime is the El Mansoura air battle. The alleged battle occurred on the afternoon of 14/10/1973. During 53 minutes, 60 Egyptian aircraft shot down 17 Israeli planes out of 120, while loosing only 6 (3 of them of non combat reasons). Nonsense. According to Israeli original operation's diaries, not a single Israeli plane flight toward El Mansoura on 14/10.

@IceSwe1245 In his memoirs, Nixon recalled with pride, “If it weren’t for me, there wouldn’t be any Israel. They know that in Israel.” How true! As Prime Minister Golda Meir later wrote to her American sister Clara, who was critical of Nixon, in the post-Watergate period: Youre an American. You dont like Nixon. Im an Israeli. I will never forget that if it had not been for Nixon, we would have been destroyed.
1973 was a tactical victory for Israel.
By the end of the war, the road to Damascus and Cairo was wide open,
and the Egyptian 3rd Army was cut off and surrounded.
But the war would achieve Sadat's geopolitical aims- the return of the Sinai.
Syria got NOTHING out of the war except dead soldiers.
And a prostitute which was provided by the UN
Israel goal was to defend itself.
Egypt goal was to capture the sinai.
at the end of the war Israel held sinai and prevented Egypt from been close to its people.
On the other end, Egypt didn't hold sinai, lost over 10% of it's army and more than 8000 soliders were taking as prisoners.
I think Israel scored its goal...
isreals goal was to retain sinai and make cairo surrender they failed both
1st of all they all seized to exist after state was created .
2nd Irgun fought only against British Army .
3rd Hahagana ,was created in response to Arabs attacks on Jews towns and convoys ,and was used only as security force .
Later all of them was connected to IDF and fought against Arabs in 1948 independence war .
Tell them.
ISRAEL IS GOD'S LAND AND WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED IN ANY WAR.
Mario Miranda If God is in heaven why does he need land on Earth with measly mortals? religion is for pigeons.
They loos in this war
Unfortunately the Arabs will win in the end (at the end of the world) but God would have already taken His people home by then
He was the good man. The last time Egypt lured him into war, he end up loosing his kingdom. He did the right thing. Arabs wanted Revenge and War; fueling the mideast problem. Arabs have always wanted war; then they blame the Israel for retaliating.
They didn't want war before Israel was created in what was Palestine...
@bosasosolja What race might you be?Do you have any formal education?
Do u want holocaust2?
Never forget that IDF was trapped when they crossed the canal and that explains why they were very happy to withdraw there troops after ceasefire.
He Ma
No.... we will not forget that they were trapped when
1. they crossed the canal with two armored divisions
2. Cut the life line of the Egyptian 3rd. army.
3. Destroyed the S/A rocket batteries on the Egyptian side of the canal.
4. Reached to 100 km of the outskirts of Cairo
And yes.... the soldiers were quite happy to go home when Egypt surrendered and begged for a ceasefire.
No one will forget.
But you are right... they were extremely happy to withdraw. It took years to get rid of the stench of being in Egypt.
God Bless Israel God Bless Azerbaijan. much love & respect to my Jewish brothers & sisters.

Genesis 12:3 Think about that sentence.

@dextergilhang053082 who said we don't believe in Jesus Christ?? What do you know about Islam?
@iraqiblaze Though I've never heard of any non-arab countries sending combat troops...
there were 1000 tanks ready in Cairo to repel your attack, and btw Israel's forces on African soil weren't a huge number, and you were surrounded by Egyptian forces from everywhere.
Look at the bright side. At least Israel and Egypt are peaceful.
@@allahlovesmydick2511
only if you can call the attack on the Israeli embassy and it's burning in 2011 a peaceful act.
@@nurieln but all 76 people who were involved got charged and convicted. We do have peace now my friend let's keep it that way
@@nurieln Israel and Egypt are partners and friends. Israel have achieved its goal.
Is that why saddat when to knesset for peace with Israeli?
revenge? no, it's taqiya
so the key is to MASTER THE ART OF DECEPTION?
Another lie of the Mubarak regime is the El Mansoura air battle.
The alleged battle occurred on the afternoon of 14/10/1973.
During 53 minutes, 60 Egyptian aircraft shot down 17 Israeli planes out of 120, while loosing only 6 (3 of them of non combat reasons).
Nonsense.
According to Israeli original operation's diaries, not a single Israeli plane flight toward
El Mansoura on 14/10.
I dont understand , why do arabs think they won the war on 1973? They lost it big time.
Long live Israel.
Love from ex-muslims
We would have won if the US, hadn't helped Israel
Global give me one evdince that we lost
Long live Israel
Long Live the USS Liberty !
Oh! You're damn right! Are you happy now?
@IceSwe1245 you can continue to live in Sweden.... I'm Israeli. I know my history.
Yom Kippur war ended in a CLEAR ISRAELI VICTORY - and nothing you say would change that. Yes -it was a very difficult, and yes - Egyptions tried to destroyed us, but we overcame - and were a few meters from cairo at the end. Only because of the USSR threat - we didn't occupy cairo. You didn't even capture 1% of Sinai back in this war. That itself indicates that it was an Israeli victory.
egypt occupied only a piece of sinai but not the whole...and they nver been entered israel soil....israeli entered egypt many times......tactical, israel won the war
Egyptian army bombed Tel Aviv in 1948 manytimes idiot. And throughout history, all the Levant, including Jerusalem, was part of the Egyptian Empire. Read your bibles even idiot.
@@faithfulsoldier519
You are the stupid idiot..!!
He was right. The egyptian soldiers havent occupied any Israeli soil.
No one has talked about the egyptian empire 3700 years ago.. nore about Muhamad Ali Ibrahim Pasha 200 years ago for several years..
He speaks about the periode of time from 48 when Israel rised ,till now.
... and if the egyptians bombed Tel Aviv (as the lier egyptians saying or the lier arab press) , it doesnt mean they have conquered any land from Israel (beside the city of Gaza.. that wasent a part of israel from the begining).
@@cameronsilverman582 we can wipe Israhell clean off from this planet. We are with many. We can defeat you in hours. If our leaders really stand behind their people we destroy Israhell in days.
@Hiram Abiff that was then. Now we can wipeout Israhell.
@@crocodiledundee8141 you have tried to destroy Israel many times, why would you succeed this time?
You will lose again
And Sadat was a hero
Basically the Egyptians lost the war due to the meddling of its president against the advice of his military. If Egypt had held onto its share of the Sinai under the protection of its missile shield, Israel would have been forced to negotiate.
@mateo2 no u got my message but what u are donig now is a sociological thing called Denial
Shah Hussain shame on him
Israelis respects and don't attack when it's enemy Arab neighbors under religious practice like Ramadan while Arabs Attacks Israel when they're praying in Yum Kippur .
@mohamed fathy die did Israel attack during ramadan.Thaey warn in advance Palestinians people first before they attack, I know I lived there.
Ask UNESCO, they knew rockets were kept and in schools, where rockets fired from to Israel human population and people Palestinians supports and made as human shield as part of and playing became as victims of Isarael retaliation .
UNESCO gave Palestinians cement and construction materials to make buildings and schools.Where they use it , make tunnels underneath so you can send terrorist to kill Isareli people. Across under their city.
You Arabs hate Isarael so much and don't accept their existence and and ownership of Jerusalem.
Your Koran knew the Jews and Christians as Infidels but in Bible doesn't mention you Muslims.
@iraqiblaze I take interest in military history.
@mooglebee That have nothin to do with WW2 Or Germany
No one love Jews all over the world
Luv em...speak for your self fool.
Peter Molokwu yes that's true that's why you have your own state . Nobody wanted Jews with them.
I love the Jews.
I'm right with you my Arab brother
And then Israel destroyed them with pure jewjitsu
Amen
@iraqiblaze Soviet pressure forced the Egyptians to continue their advance and despite contempt from Saad El-Shazly, Egypt's chief of staff at the time, and other senior generals. Sadat yielded to Soviet pressure and advanced. Leaving his SAM umbrella and AT positions. Israel used it's once obsolete air-force to attack the Egyptians before their used their usual tactic of blitzkrieg.
Ownership is determined by strength..not history
