Good to learn a bit more about 'The Battery' event, thank you Steve.
I was expecting an investor presentation, but Chris Anthony only gave a few words of greeting at The Battery.
Less than half the people I met had come specifically for Aptera. The others were apparently "regulars" in this scene.
Thanks for your clarification of the Battery Event. I am sure Chris gave a good presentation, but I wish to a more select audience.
So Aptera "featured" = only entrepreneur greeting was by Chris and perhaps prominently noted on the invite, correct? If so, frankly sounds like luke warm interest tho I recognize many people could fund production single-handedly, very small % but many people nonetheless. Thx for sharing.
The CNN coverage made me cringe when they called Aptera a hybrid... Seriously shows how little they understand space but at least they spelled it all out.
They called it a hybrid because it runs off SOLAR and ELECTRICITY. Like those 2 aren’t the same thing 😂
No, hybrid simply means (for cars) getting power from 2+ sources. It has nothing to do with gas. Aptera gets power from the Sun AND via traditional charging.
@@HappyTheAptera Calling Aptera a hybrid is misleading. Plug-in power from solar panels, whether on a car or your house, is still just electricity. A true hybrid uses two fundamentally different energy sources, like gas and electricity. So, while Aptera uses solar energy, it’s not a hybrid-it’s just another way of generating electricity for the vehicle. For example there’s also diesel/electric, gas/hydrogen, electric/hydrogen etc. Saying solar/electric is basically saying electric/electric.
Thanks AOC for being the first (And only at this point) channel to provide the Aptera Community information on the SF Battery Event. The Battery Event is much more important to cover/and understand than the public event that highlighted large attendance. (But light on potential significant investors?) If everybody in the U.S. loves the Aptera (An exaggeration) but there is insufficient investment to bring it to the market, The "Aptera love" is moot. This report is an example of why rational and objective Aptera enthusiasts value and appreciate your chanel. Expected I guess, but disappointed that the Battery Event had so many other CEO's (Maybe the majority/) hunting for additional funds.
I believe the point of this meeting is to get Aptera exposed to both investors and clients. And one hopes more money will get into the fund.
A couple of days ago Steve Fambro showcased an Aptera PI2 door with the following words:
"PI-2 BincC Almost Complete. Getting Ready to Bond the Doors",
That, IMO, means we should be expecting the PI-2 probably towards the end of October.
whatever youre smoking, Ill take half
Let’s Go Aptera!!
It's official, Aptera comes out Q2 of 2025. This is great news as we now have a concrete date and not things like "targeted" or "soon".
See link in description of this vid to join (can't say it here but it starts with a "D" and ends with "cord")
@@johnreeves7261 - In English please.
Lets see if it truly does! If not, then I am getting too old to wait for 'Q02 2035!"
@@billsmith5960 What part of join the (starts with "D" and ends with "cord") do you not understand?
@@johnreeves7261 - I was just stating what was presented in the video. Yet you have some sort of response that has zero to do with it. I ask you this, why just not give a proper response?
I'll be happy if aptera gets PIs put together and some testing done by Christmas 🎅
Optimistic much?
@@micbroc6435 blee blah bloo
Check the SEC filing today….
What happened?
@@RomanChaar "The Company sold approximately 475,510 shares of class B stock for an approximate gross total of $4,992,855. "
@@jeffreymerriam7025 yeah I just read on sec.gov. Wow good news. Good for them hopefully it unlocks more funding from the government program
So they raised 8% so far in a month and a half
@@RomanChaar Not great, but I suspect Chris M. was accurate when he said its harder for the earlier investors. Once they get to around $25,000,00 I believe the money will pour in, because people will be more confident that they are investing in something that will actually make it to market.
Good info Steve! Hope they go to 100million! And soon!
If USCapital has to file reports when they receive money, then where are the reports? Only $200,000 reported this quarter? I hope they are doing better than that.
abysmal numbers
Was there a PI 1? I never heard or saw anything.
PI 1 was just for working out all the wiring.
@@stevekenyonmusic gotcha thx
So 5 million has been raised in a month and a half. 5/60 = 8% so then at this rate they will raise the rest of the $60 million in another 20 months
No the 5 million is from the past and probably already spent
@@shrimptopian3392 maybe some of it’s spent, I’m not sure what their current operating costs are, but it’s probably a couple million a month.
About 4.5 million per month, but that should gi up to tens of millions per month because they have to build 16 pi
They had about 16 million cash left, so that is enough for a few months
they raised 200k so far......
No one has addressed the weight difference from front to rear with the motor/ cable/ inverter changes. This will affect the handling. How will the water intrusion from the driveshaft holes be removed after it rains?😊
Handling will be affected, only for the better if comparing against the FWD IWM configuration. Waterproofing will be unaffected by the half shafts. Penetrations for the steering and control arms are the same as before.
Both thoughts valid. With any hope in hell, we MIGHT have answers in the next update, but I tend to doubt the fact. The driveshaft issue is easy, short answer, rubber boots and a drain point. To the other, my GUESS is the re worked rear frame build settles the issue
@@JayGrant-hi5ms Probably a net positive with more power and less unstrung weight but the loss of torque vectoring isn't nothing. Especially if trying to get unstuck from the snow having independent power at each wheel is helpful. Acceleration will be less (unknown amount) due to only 2 driven wheels but it was actually an increase in power from 127 kw (modified m700) to 150 kw with the EMR3.
The channel Aptera Accessories did an analysis of that very topic. Mostly guesstimation but his logic is sound. ruclips.net/video/pGy77pTmJJI/видео.htmlsi=E6zSP7rLDE_6ZAoD
Hang on they are going to be producing them next year, but they dont have any funding to do it.........seems they wont be producing them next year.
are you new? this is the story since 2019
AOC thats some STROOONNGG HOPIUM youre smoking, Ill take half
One thing that will impact Aptera's timeline is the dock strike that will massively impact supply chains.
Aptera has done less to get funding than most any startup I can think of.
If you meant more then I would agree with you. No one has raised more capital from crowd funding ever in history and the fact that they won’t let go of the cap shows how committed the CEOs are.
@@BryanDoesCinema I’m going to give a few ideas of what they could do, to acquire vastly more that the $60 million they are currently seeking.
Stop with these little meaningless events that take place almost exclusively in Southern California. Go do electrify expo. But use a multi prong approach. EE has gone or will go to the following US cities: Orlando, Phoenix, Long Beach, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, and Austin. In conjunction with the event set up meetings with investors and private equity for the week leading up to the event. Invite them to see in person how radically different aptera is. They could have done this for years, and haven’t.
Also aptera has mentioned they want to propose their vehicle as a possibility for fleet sales to include govt contracts. What would it mean if during the expo in Seattle, in addition to what I’ve already mentioned, they also talked to purchasing managers for some of the cities here? And on the way out of town hit up the state investment board in Olympia. They are the people who invest the state’s pension funds and literally have people fly in from around the world who pitch investments. How could I know this, well I used to be a chauffeur and drove some of them there. And there a lot of other chauffeurs who did the same thing. Not a conga line but visiting the board was a frequent thing. While in Seattle they could talk to a couple of billionaires who promote environmental causes. Hint, Hint, Hint.
The world’s auto sport press was in Las Vegas not long ago. How much would it have cost to have simply driven around that town and been noticed by those people who could help drive social media? F1 is on the leading edge of automotive design it would be appropriate to be there.
But what does aptera do? They go to events like pebble beach concours which is a celebration of motoring past not motoring future feeling all proud that they gave away a thousand stickers and sunglasses. Reaching for the stars. s/ Did you know they have an auction? Over $100 million changed hands buying used cars. How many reservations and investment did aptera get? Well they haven’t said anything so let’s assume 0.
You mentioned that they are great at crowdfunding, well that’s awesome I guess. But has it a achieved their goals? Did the accelerator program achieve their goals? It’s time to realize these guys need a lot of help in understanding how to get this company moving forward. I really wanted them to succeed but they are moving slower than a slug in Seattle.
What’s the story with Chris A’s weight loss? Is it for health reasons or a medical issue?
Really(?) What a question to make public. Get a clue man.
I believe he was inspired to get healthier after Jay Leno’s comment early in the pandemic that “none of us are missing any meals.”
I think it's a deliberate effort on his part and good for him.
I should be so lucky as to lose weight like that.
I believe he has publicly noted it was his own health initiative.
hes turbo vaxxxing
More and more hype, but less and less aptera in real life
