I cringe everytime I have to take my machine to the bobcat dealer. Then one of the dealer mechanics opened a shop of his own. Now the quote and the actual bill is consistent. Thank you honest business owners!
Great video Brady, glad to see some younger guys learning from great techs. Something I like to do and try to stay big on is cleanliness on a job a great way I’ve found is aluminum foil tape over ports for like exhaust and coolant inlets, just to keep dust or critters out of components. If you guys ever need some bobcat help with books or anything like that I’ll gladly help out, love to see a independent guy doing good for himself.
Great video as usual. Have an s250 myself i bought for incredibly cheap and doing tons of work to it so im enjoying all your videos. Thanks for continuing to make videos.
I saw an A300 on Facebook Marketplace for $5,000. They said the wheels need calibration. Sounds like a terrible job. Do you know anything about the A300's?
2001 773, when I use the beak attachment when boom is raised, the tilt or boom acts up. trying to lower boom can make bucket tilt instead or not lower, etc. turn, engine off restart it usually works. Sometimes, it takes awhile any advice
It's not a gear pump, its a orbital pump. It's a charge pump and replenish oil lost from the flushing valve and relief valves. Golden rule of hydraulic systems. Make it simple, where common parts. Switch them to see if problem switches.
Should have changed over the regulator from one pump to the other. That would have shown if you had a pump or a regulator problem. By changing the regulator if failure problem would switch.
I this situation I gave the customer a best case and worse case quote. Even the worst case (replacing the pump) was still half the price of the quote he got from another shop.

Who eats the labor for removing the engine when it was misdiagnosed?? Great videos and educational just curious?
Thank you very much for your teachings. Could you clarify why the hydraulic pump on my 2013 Bobcat S130 hums when I activate the shovel faster? Thanks

The calibration is easy, the reason it's out of calibration could be difficult and expensive
@@tetradgroupMuch appreciated Sir!
If I had a dollar for every time I performed unnecessary work- I’d be retired by now! 😂 Another learning experience for us all. Great video!

So how do you charge for a repair like this? What a complicated mess....

Yikes guys! I hope your customer isn't being charged for the engine removal/replacement.

Danfoss 42R28 great
Internal charge pump would be a “gerotor” pump
