These vids are so darn good. Interesting, extremely informative and to the point.
Thanks for taking the time to make this an all other videos an live streams!
A lot of backup rings have a diagonal cut in them that does two things. It expands outwards under pressure conforming to the outer sealing surface, and it prevents damage during installation.
A really great video on hydraulic troubleshooting.
Nice job guys
You Guys are Amazing! Please Please keep putting out this kind of content! Thanks!
This was a lot of fun to watch simple to the point and great editing thanks for the content
Great video. Thank you for sharing
Another great teaching video. Thank you.
Ahhh loader arms down!! My mentor was and still is a stickler for loader arms up always! When im working with them down he shakes his head and always says "you'll learn one day" 😅😅
Thank you for the great informative videos, awesome job guy's.
Nice job guys👍🏼🇺🇸
Great Video guys! I will be sending our customers over to watch, we get questions like this all the time. Nice picture quality too, what camera are you using?
I have lost count on the number of times I pulled the main relief valve and cleaned it on the old Bobcat 310 I was using in the 80's. It was way too sensitive to dirt.
Can you explain how you clean it out.
@@brennankirby25 The relief valve was a bit strange having a very small hole in the center which allowed some small amount of oil to bleed through to the back of the relief valve causing a partial counter pressure. When a very small speck of dirt got stuck in it then the pressure in the system became very weak - you could barely raise the bucket.
Remove the valve, remove the small piece of dirt (I think that it was primarily lint from the oil filter or paint from the inside of the transmission) and then put it back and it worked fine for a while.
Overall a dirt sensitive design, and I suspect they changed it later. This was in the early 80's.
I have a 2011 s70. I thought it was the gear pump on mine. I replaced it and still only half flow to my auxiliary hydraulics. Very similar symptoms to this video. I pulled the bcis check valve on mine the screen was clean but hard to test these without a hydraulic test block.
Makes total sense! What do the high flow pumps have in addition to what we seen?
History imo - dirty oil till ran dry like you said......neglect & abuse.....
Aux side got hot from long hard implement use like a hammer on for to long.
I melted my pump from hammer usesage for hours oil was boiling.
Over loading?
4:10... I thought we were talking about aux hydraulic lines. 😅
I have a 2017 s450 and would like to know if the drive motors pull straight out from a carrier like older models or if i have to remove the chains, as i cannot see a carrier in the parts schematic. They are eaton manual single speed motors.
Thanks
So when hooking gauge up to female quick coupler test is only done at idle?? Im assuming full throttle it would make pressure??
@fonickel6634 A good pump will make pressure regardless of RPM. We checked it at low idle and high idle. The best it could do is 1800 on this machine
@@tetradgroup 😅 i still have a couple t110s i suspect with worn out pumps. Boss mans not concerned about it but il eventually get them in the shop 1 at a time to verify
Prior to loosing and of the hoses, how do you bleed the pressure off of the line(s).
There's always a return to tank line or you can crack the line with a rag over the fitting under your wrench slowly
So if your gear pump is good and you are still having the same issue? I have an s70 with similar symptoms. Thought it was the gear pump so i replaced it but no change.
Describe your symptoms. The gear pumps typically only run auxiliary hydraulics. The real work horses are the piston hydrostatic pumps that run your mobility things like wheels/tracks etc.
Do you have a video related to the ACS on an 863 (2002 model)? The machine I’m working on has a 34-02 code. I’ve been working on it for weeks and can’t make any progress. The service manual is no help. It doesn’t even have a troubleshooting tree.
I don't know... awfully clean for low oil. I'd lean more toward high oil temperature, but I thought those machines had protections for that. I suppose an auxiliary implement could of crapped the bed and dumped the oil. We will never know...
Hard to say. They do have high temp protection, however the R-Series no longer monitors charge pressure and will not shut down due to oil pressure like the M-Series would.
So to understand the flow control..when you had the flow control completely shut and the pump was only building 600psi…the 600psi created isn’t enough pressure to crack the motor casing or break something? It seems when you stop the flow, even though the pump output is 600psi, something has to give.
This is because the pump is internally bypassing most of the oil so it can never build any more pressure. These systems are also rated around 3500 psi
i have a 773 that I have to hold the fuel shut off solenoid in pull position with a tie wire then start and operates ,once done I reverse the process .replace the fuel shutoff solenoid ,relay harness was missing ,install an aftermarket one along with the solenoid and still the same problem . can you help ,any idea why this happens , is really annoying .thank you
Computer that controls the solenoid and or ignition switch
I use a fancy flow tester. But I do hydraulics on the daily
How did you turn it on with the cab in the air?
Easy? Lol the cab lifts but doesn't affect wiring from the ignition switch as long as other conditions are met. I.E. parking brake on and arm rests down.
Is there a way a person might could Jerry rig up something to directly test the hydrostatic pump and bypass the wheel motors?
I have a video on testing the hydrostatic pump
@@tetradgroup ok I'll check it out thanks for the reply
Could a defective hydraulic filter earlier in the life of this machine that allowed dirty oil to flow through the pump have caused this?
Pickup is just a screen.
@@Failure_Is_An_Optionhe asked about the return filter, not a pickup screen.
It could. If the filter was bad for a 500hr interval or even shorter and it was allowing unfiltered oil to continuously circulate the system that will definitely cause accelerated wear in the pump. With no filter you probably would get the same amount or more wear in 500hrs as you would in 10,000hrs in a properly working filtered system. But it also most likely wouldn’t be just the gear pump. The dual hydrostat, both drive motors would be worn, spools in the control valve would get scratched and scored etc. that would not be good..
While working my pocket starts falling down what could be the problem
Empty your pockets and tighten your belt.
Dont do this at home, !00% need the relief valve for safety. bad gauge could kill you closing too fast could kill you... very dangerous! these guys know what they are doing.
