You missed re-connecting that one connector you took out at 8:40. It was impossible to get it back in with hose in place, so I would say once the Y fitting is installed, pop that guy back in.

This is a great video. I’ve wanted to put a catch can/aos on my XT forester for a while but even as a qualified mechanic, these installs videos from companies are very daunting. Thanks for making it simple and easy to understand. One suggestion I do have though is remember that the turbo gets hot and doesn’t like rubber, maybe route the hoses further away from the turbo given the lengths of hose you get from IAG. I wonder if they make a RHD version of this kit 🤔

Still to this day have no clue where one of the hoses goes to. So I just blocked it off. All of these videos are great unless you have an 11’ that only has the one sensor instead of 3. Both the Cobb and IAG instructions online suck ass because the pictures are all of an STI. Most frustrating install ever. Your video helped me confirm a sensor, so I thank you for that.

Awesome video. Big help! One question I have is about the 3 sensors that you jumped. The blow by sensor and the two connected to the case vents. How does jumping them effect the car? The IAG install instructions keep them and routed the hoses to them. They didnt mention anything about jumping anything, so I'm just wondering what type of difference it makes to keep them, or to jump them like you did. 🤔

    • @BeeAboveAverage

Usually a lot of people have trouble with that hose that sits directly under the turbo outlet. Maybe that is what is causing the Intercooler not to sit flush. Some people re route this in their own way to make it not be an issue. I was able to get my intercooler on but it took a LOT of effort and another set of hands.

luis looey You could have a vacuum leak, because that code means your car is running rich. Too much fuel or not enough air coming through the system. Now when referring to the upper and lower coolant hoses the way I have them installed is the correct way according to IAG’s instructions which I will link for you right here and you can double check for yourself as well. Double check all your vacuum hoses, and any that you could have accidentally moved. Pretty much back track everything you touched during the install and anything around those areas as well, you should be able to spot something out of the ordinary. Also make sure the connections on the aos itself are nice and secure with no leaks.

Yea there is barely any room. Just push the hose away from the connector best you can while trying to connect it. With some force you should be able to get it.

Great video and super helpful. What did you do regarding reattaching the sensor by the Y piece?

Mohammed Sultan At what point in the video? Not sure exactly what sensor you’re talking about

Oh just plug it back in. I was able to get it plugged in with the little space I had. I probably forgot to mention that in the video huh 🤔

Try pushing some of the other things away from it as much as you can while pluging it in

The upper coolant hose from the AOS goes to the turbos hardline and the lower coolant hose goes to the expansion tank. I hope that helps! Here is a link even their instructions. www.iagperformance.com/v/vspfiles/downloadables/instructions/IAG/IAG-ENG-7151/IAG-SS-AOS-08-14-WRX-7151-v.01.pdf
