Finally some OG 9-3 stuff. I got a 1999 9-3 SE last summer and I was pretty lost until I found some forums to help. Not much on youtube. The car sat for 14 years. I paid $500 for it. Runs good now.
This makes me miss my og 9-3 ’99. My first car ever. The B204 engine was built to last, and the T25 turbo wouldn’t fail on me even though we pushed that thing really heard.
@@tim1polman Nice, thats good to know :) the fuel consumption is still quite high for a turbofree car, but I think that is a sighn that it will last loger. What do you think? And what kind of car you have?
My OG 9-3 has less fancy tech than newer model, but prettier and more reliable. No ECU issues, engine lasts longer. Mine has alteady lasted over 380000 km and still goes strong!
Cant wait to put my 125k km (80ish k miles?) B234L engine in my 900ng Cpnvertoble now. 😅 The crossflow IC is a greatimprovement over the counterflow one. Boost comes in much more supple. Another thing you want to chamge is the 90 degree inlet on top of the throttle body. Replace that with a 3" 90 degree flange and a silicone adapter (45 degree) from the stock chargepipe to the flange. That does wonders for the response of the turbo aswell.
Hey man I've just purchased my very first ever 99 Saab 9.3 T5. I know nothing about them. Down fall is that's its a automatic transmission🤦 it's sitting on 210,00km and I got it for $500.
Can anyone help me out? My 07 9-3 2.0t is having bad misfire problems randomly. It's not the plugs or coil packs, and it's at random. I'm thinking it's the ecu, but I'm not sure.
More OG 9-3 stuff would be cool - seems a sweet wee project car 😎
will do!!
@@AutoAutopsy Yes more OG 9-3! especially the B204!
Yes, pls!

it's a fantastic car and motor!
i think ‘99 was the best model year for the 93 ... right before they switched over to the b205 with all the oil sludge issues
finally someone who understands!!
Yeah I have '99 93 2l i and I think it is not going to break any time soon, no turbo no worry😁 only 192k
@@aleksi.niemela the non turbo engines never had the black sludge problem. (Its the same engine tbey used since 94 in the 900ng.)

yeah, the b204 is a fantastic motor!
"Dude thats a loud blowoff valve."
"Nah, just the blowoff hose. See the custom split?"
Love hearing the older saab sound.
lmfao!
As usual I really enjoyed this video. Saab’s are wonderful cars.
Glad you enjoyed it!

looks are subjective, but i wouldn't call it more reliable than the NG. I think they're both pretty reliable vehicles when well maintained.
@@AutoAutopsy True, many cars of both variants are still going strong, but newer models are slightly more fragile.
I'd love to see more content on this car. I'm working on getting my 99 Viggen to stage 3 and I'm looking for inspiration
Follow my page! Willl be posting content soon
nice!
Wish I could find one of these Fine Saab gems.
rip :(
More content on OG 9-3's would be amazing!!!
😁
Love the og9-3 content!

Bring all the OG 93 content

Fun video, defitinately fun to see other cars, maybe some new project series with these people even could be cool!

I love the hatchback edition saabs. I have a 2 door. Amazing car. Interesting car to work on. Lol
Same here!
More content for sure
definitely!
I would love to see more content on this car
:)
Since he's already got the genuinesaab DP, he should check out their Viggen catback exhaust to go with it. Not as rowdy, til you floor it.
he likes it how it is lol
Lukas was telling me I should get the cross flow for my ng900. Started looking and there is this video. Lol. 😂.

From where u got that pipe at 3:10? planning to do a crossflow conversion to my double pass, what do i need? and what sized intercooler is max?
I would DM @SavingSaabs on insta. he'll be able to help you
I did a hood exit and installed a td04 on my 99 and turned the boost all the way up 😂

I see a Polish front plate, I upvote! Greetings from Poland! ;-)
Dziękuję
thanks! lol
I'm trying to get my friend to get a Saab and there's 4 perfect 9-3's right near us haha
they better get one then lol!
I have an 02 9-3 I wanna do like a wide body but im pretty sure their isn't any :(
might be time to post on some fb groups and do some searching!
I have a 2007 9-3 and I wanted to get a intercooler but should I get a cold air intake first?
intercooler would give you more of a benefit; i would go with that route
Please 🙏 more OG 9-3 Footage
I have a new playlist on the channel titled Saving Saabs with a few episodes on OG's! :)
Wtf, this saab has polish plates on the front, it was imported?
What kind of red is that?.. i wanna paint my 9-3 with that color. Let me know
I believe cayenne but I don’t know for sure.
I've got one, same year, same color. Intercooler is at the top of my plans. Is your engine management a Tronic 5 or 7? It's black so I assume 7?
In the saab pictured in the beginning* realized I was talking about two different cars, it's a 5 EMS, it's red.
yep it's T5!

nice! definitely hit up my buddy that's in this video, @savingsaabs, on instagram. he knows a ton about these
LUB 44FK polish accent in Phoenix 😄
yep, his family is polish!
You should do a new project Saab video
on this?
What?
bro I have the same car and the way his 9-3 sounds is blowing my fucking mind...is there a more in depth video about your buddy's build?
He no longer has the car but his IG is @savingsaabs and I’m sure he’d be happy to tell you all of the details. Unfortunately I don’t know
Hi i have the same saab but a b205r with stage 3 too. If you have any questions i can help you out🙂
Can anyone help me out? My 07 9-3 2.0t is having bad misfire problems randomly. It's not the plugs or coil packs, and it's at random. I'm thinking it's the ecu, but I'm not sure.
Hows the battery is it fully full, could be gears in the alternator going, or your headgasket
What about the fuel pump depends if its pumping enough fuel in top end revs
Read the fuel trim on the banks
My turbo gauge is so going haywire, so idk. Battery is fine though.
I have a standoff plate ordered for the ecu, but it's not gonna be in for a week or two.
AMAZINGNES!!!
:)
Do a Secret feature video on a saab 9-3
already did two lol
I want more
alright!
Race your Turbo X against it. I wanna see how bad the X loses with 4 wheel drive active
I’ve raced it before; the TX didn’t lose 😂 my 2.0 is a very good matchup against this car tho
@@AutoAutopsy Gotta get a 9-5 manual
Lol the turbo X is heavy eith the 4 wheel drive active it’s good from a starting point no a rolling start
