I definitely agree. I need to go back and update some parts of this article. I am on a PC system and favor the DNxHD flavor. Thanks for the feedback. Stay tuned... we have some in-depth BMCC guides and lens tests going up soon. This camera is workhorse and is priced such that it allows lower budget filmmakers to produce Hollywood quality films. Our BMCC package has been rented to major productions as both an A and B-CAM.
Well, the newest version of Resolve is reported to be a very nice NLE program. You can edit, color and export in Resolve, but I was testing out a round trip workflow with proxies.
Pretty freaking awesome:)
what is your render settings in premiere for a final export? having in mind that we want to keep the 2.5k resolution?
For proxy I rather choose for Prores LT or DNxHD, H264 is to processor intensive. (not really a good proxy format)

I have a question, what is the usage of Premiere or AE?
Why don't use Resolve to do everything? Edit, Color and Export.
Thanks a lot.

+Way West Media Thank you.
You got a free copy of the Resolve 11 Studio with your BMCC, right? Do you get free upgrade to 12?
