Just like an 8 year old visiting a fire station , the excitement on his face and in his voice when he got to ride in a fire truck ( and then his truck got washed )
Orwell be like "Yea if you wanna take a ride in that fire truck go ahead, they got washing trucks down here...that's it, scrub behind my mirrors...ahhhhh"
I'm a Massachusetts resident and I'm glad to see you made it to Cape Cod these Massachusetts roads are crazy and the drivers are crazy that's a big Air Force Base down there
Steve, that was really nice of The Cape Cod Fire & Rescue Department for them to offer to wash Orwell for you! May you, you're family, and everyone at WIEDMEYER EXPRESS have a Happy & Safe Memorial Day weekend!!! Keep those AWESOME videos coming!!!
That's awesome! A fan/ subscriber to the channel, a fire truck ride (what a beast) a clean truck and awesome hospitality. Followed with blue sky's as you left.
We had a 1963 short wheel base FJ45 with a section of railway welded to the front and use it to knock out a pathway through our 25 acre property, but that is impressive.
You always pick such good music as the tunes for the road shots. Just makes the view so much better. I always had the tunes on when I was driving. Just made it all seem right. Stay safe!
Damn steve.i think you should travel with FSC speed shop shirts so you can give to your shirts to those awesome fire department firefighters...but awesome video has always 😍❤💖
Fire man/ woman are both full of love or hate in there hearts.meanning there human.I respect all first responders ( fireman/firewoman & the NON rotten apple police) so do many other Americans
@@jeanalbano5423 people love firefighters because you can walk into any fire station and someone will greet you with open arms and let you walk around or sit in a truck. Police stations, on the other hand, are not welcoming. You walk into a small entry point with locked doors and a cop sitting behind a bulletproof glass window. The only two ways to see inside a police station is wearing a badge or cuffs.
Now you need to find out how many men work on that shift and get a box of 2X shirts packed up and sent to the chief to give to all those firefighters and the police officer as a thanks for the hospitality. The hi-vis shirts would be the best one. Then have a picture of all of them wearing them. I had a squad of firefighters once when we were taking a class and it gave us something to show pride and comaraderie. They will definitely show how much appreciation for you thanking them. Keep up all the great vlogs Steve. I enjoy them very much and as the police officer showed you how much he loves your channel.
Well you will have to send a box full of the fluorescent green / yellow / orange shirts to the chief to give out to the guys for washing Orwell as a thank you for what they done Great crew there for sure
That just goes to show how much U effect people brother Steve… Nick an Matt would’ve loved to be there for this… Keepem between the lines Brother 🤘🏼🤠🤘🏼🤠🤘🏼🤠🤘🏼🤠🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Great you send those guys shirts, that freaking amazing hospitality and many thanks to all those firemen you guys rock. Must be impressive to see that bush truck coming towards you on the road.
I get to go under those bridges a couple times a year with my brother with his lobster boat. The Cape is a nice place to live , it seems like when you meet someone there if you don't know them you know someone they know. Kind of a friendly place in an angry world
Great group of guys there! What I like about your videos is seeing places and things that I am sure I never will. I have no real desire to drive to the east coast...but another driving trip to Alaska is in the plans.
And who says east coast people are grouchy? Some might say they were being nice because of the camera. I say that's just how they are. Friendly, accommodating, and just nice people. Now drivers are different. Couldn't help but notice the cars cutting you off on your way out. But, that's pretty much the norm wherever you go these days.
You have the good ones, and also the bad ones, wherever you go! Also love the room they give you in those roundabouts! For as rural as Nebraska is, they are real chinsey with the roundabouts. Have to almost drop down to granny gear here.
Wife & I used to go up to the Cape every year after the peak tourist season was done. That traffic circle was the best entertainment going. Absolutely clueless people trying to navigate that and any other circle had some of the best comedy value going. And, most of the knuckleheads had Mass plates. Funny stuff. Another time I was the entertainment, riding the ElectraGlide and getting blown all over the place from the wind ripping up the canal. Double scary with that knife-edge corner on the granite blocks on the side. People behind me were probably thinking "geeeze, look at that drunk on the motorcycle."Good times.
They put a roundabout in next to a rural school here several years ago. I was out cruising on my Harley and came up on it. No one was around, so I just started going around and around. Looked up into the school yard after three or four rounds, and saw about a half dozen kids watching this doofus old geezer just going around in circles with a look of "what the heck" on their faces. After beating a hasty retreat, I laughed about the look on their faces the rest of the ride. Being an old veezer has it's advantages!
Nice show! Nice folks at the fire station made a long haul worth it. I like your show because it lets me see the country and ride along on neat truck. Thanks for the ride!
You can tell that the driver if the brush truck spent years driving a stick. That right hand has a memory of being on the shifter ready to change gears. We in this area have a reputation of being standoffish and/or unhelpful. I hope that this shows that we are not. Thanks for the hard work you and Orwell did to get that equipment down to the Cape.
It makes me get all fuzzy feeling when I see someone......like you Hero, get rewarded for all their hard work. I know you make sacrifices to get interesting content out to your viewers on a steady basis . I'm equally happy for Matt and Jen as I know they both put a.lot of effort into the video too and this notoriety should be enjoyed by them as well and especially you Orwell. You have achieved world fame. Congratulations !!! Later

Wow I call that very high hospitality lucky man Damm !!! secondly I do not see how you truck drivers do bridges over water and heights I can't do heights or bridges you truckers got it going on
Before I retired, tall bridges scared the crap out of me. Especially in a COE. My trick was to concentrate on the left front of the truck with my gaze more down to the road. Of course traffic wasn't nearly as crazy as it is now. A good stiff drink always helped too. Just kidding.
@@dominick253 you have more guts than I do since you trust bridgesso did alot of people that drove over the Minnesota Bridge when I collapsed and killed alot of people so did al9t of 0eople trusted bridges until the one bridge was found with a crack in it that has been shut down till further notice

Hey Steve. Another trip to the cape and I missed you , I would have taken you to lunch but then you would have missed your ride , Keep it between the lines and stay safe bro , John from the Cape.
The only moment I've ever had like this was a union plumber at North American International Auto Show (TCF Center, Detroit, back in the Oughts when it was called Cobo Hall) buying a box of donuts for my co-worker and I (we were non union specialty techs supporting a particular display)...
My father is one of the welders that built breaker 408 on base. There is another one just like it breaker 409. They saved the govt. a ton of money by converting old military trucks into brush breakers that a boston based news outlet actually did a story on them.
Unfortunately I have Mr. Magoo vision. The first few times I read the video headline I thought it said amazing hostility but when you pulled into the garage and they started washing your truck I had to read the headline again and saw that it said hospitality and not hostility. LOL
