Ok you're on the right track but... 1. Start with a layer of something waterproof and windproof. Gore-tex in camo for example. Black works well too. 2. Next put a layer of mesh on. Black nylon...look at some all weather blinds. 3. The grass mats get zip tied to the mesh in #2. You're going to eventually think of buddy heater (s) and maybe a cover for when it rains and you gotta just sit there or go home.
Yall put the grass mats on upside down. flipping those over would make it to where the grass does not stick out the sides. I have a blind very similar to that and they are amazing. Only difference is mine is a little heavier duty. One inch square tubing and it is removable. It is virtually the same but it has a rectangular base that the arms are connected to rather than the boat itself.
We didn't put it on upside down but we did fold the extra material over the top rail so that's why it sticks up like that. Technically the material that got folded over is upside down so you aren't wrong haha. But yours sounds like an awesome build, thanks for sharing!
We have only mounted a trolling motor to this boat so far, and it wasn't too hard just lifting the frame to allow the trolling motor to attach. If we end up getting an outboard motor for the boat it looks like some modifications may be needed!
Thank you guy's very much for the vid and how informative you all were on the material's needed for the project! 👍
Of course, we are glad you found it helpful!
That looks awesome! Really cool set up. I hope you all get into a mess of Ducks! Good luck!
Thank you Eric, should have the video of our first hunt out of it up soon!

These are some awesome ideas, they all sound like great upgrades. Thanks for the feedback!

Can't wait to see it in action!
Looking forward to sharing the footage that comes from hunting out of it!
great job guys
Thank you!
Perfect
will this work with all a 10ft flatbottom
Yes it will!
I can’t find the grass on the internet
Great idea but didn’t work well for my 16ft boat. Definitely keep it to a 12-14 foot boat if you are attempting this!
That is good to know! Appreciate you leaving feedback!
Built a ton. Hows that 75ndollar brush look after a year
Not too great after a drive on the highway without it properly tarped down! hahah
You forgot to mention the Sierra Nevada Torpedo in your tools/parts list.

How are you going to mount a motor if the frame is along transom like that?
