CZ Rifles ROCK! I got 457 in 22 WMR and with 30gr Hornady I am doing 1/2 Inch groups at 100 yards (w a scope). CZ rifles are so well made compared to other brands. No plastic at all. Nice real wood stock and all metal body. Other manufacturers could learn something from CZ.
I got a 457 in 22 mag about a month ago. Athlon NEOS 4-12 scope. I've been sighting it in with Remington, Hornady, and CCI various loads. It doesn't matter which ammo I use because it groups them all in less than 1inch groups. Fantastic gun and scope combination. I'm really impressed. 👍👍
I bought one, I wouldn't say they are THAT great. Sure they're accurate. I didn't like the bolt slop on mine. Not very good machining tolerances and these are cnc. Plastic mag and mag well. You can see the cheapness if you know what it looks like.
I have 4 CZ455 .22 cal rifles. The 455 was the model prior to the 457. You will find that these rifles don't like hyper ammo like Stingers with the extended brass. CZ website indicates that the 457's are made with a match grade chamber, and my owners manuals for my 455's specifically warn that extended brass rounds won't work well. My eyeballs are not as good anymore, and everything I shoot now needs 'optical assistance'. All of my CZ's shoot equally well. I prefer copper plated ammo, and have not used lead rounds in mine yet. Using Aguila plated 40gr high velocity ammo (1250 fps), and a forearm rest only, I have no problem putting rounds on top of each other @ 50 yds. These rilfes are capable of far better accuracy than I can shoot them. Enjoy your CZ!!
picked up a new 455 in 22LR yesterday. went in looking for a nice used 22lr semiauto to customize then saw this beauty. materials, fit, finish are impressive. cant wait to shoot this weekend
I've shot three 452's. The .22LR FS was the best shooting sporter weight rimfire rifle I ever shot. Gotta love those CZs! Best group average (4 groups on same card) was 6.2 mm center to center shot with Lapua Master M and a 2-7x Leupold set at 7x.
I was looking for a 22 magnum in bolt action. While I was looking I ran across the CZ Jaguar. I couldn’t resist, so I put the magnum off for a while and bought the Jaguar in 22lr. I’m incredibly pleased with this rifle. My eyes aren’t what they used to be so I scoped it with a Vortex Crossfire 4x16x50. While the scope is a bit excessive I admit, the combination works very well. I have found that 42G Eley Contact fly very well. I can shoot dimes at 100 yards all day. The 28 inch barrel seems a bit quieter than shorter barrels, and the stock is absolutely beautiful. This firearm has become an absolute favourite of mine and everyone I’ve let shoot it wants one for themselves. I do have other firearms made by CZ so the quality and accuracy is not a surprise. Now I’m looking for a 22 magnum in CZ as well. I don’t know if CZ makes a Jaguar in 22 magnum, but I hope they do, if not I hope they will soon.

CZ were Brno originally from Czechoslovakia, very high quality rifles. Sights are probably metres not yards. My Father had a Brno model 2 with a 24 inch barrel, and he could hit a 20mm coin at 25 metres with open sights.
Also, keep on mind that hogback style stock is meant for open sights. If you add a scope you'll have to add a cheek riser to be able to look through it comfortably. Speaking from experience. I removed my scope.
@@maurygollob3140 Yes, there is. In fact that is what I had on the scope I removed. Just did this with a Ruger 10/22 takedown. No rifle rest, just elbows on a table. Was happy with a fairly fast firing of a 25 round mag grouped the size of a plate, using Federal 510 40 grain solid round lead, 6 cents a round. Just seeing how it would do for coyotes. Next time doing it standing at a 100 yards, more realistic varmint scenario. Keep up the “really fun video”s !
My CZ is a 455 Ultramatch and it was accurate when new but, I ordered and installed a trigger kit from M*CARBO. I think it's even more accurate. I like you shooting range. My girlfriend just sold an 11 acre property. We had nice 100 yard shooting range. I also shoot at a club. To get very small groups I try to meditate and remove all stress from my body. I use breathing exercises to relax. It makes me a better shooter.
I have owned my CZ .22LR rifle for several years now and I absolutely love it! Using iron sights out to 125+ yards is no big deal, you'll be able to hit it all day long. I have owned a Remington .597 22LR rifle (it's cheap, and it's crap, so don't waste your money), I've shot a Savage, it's good, but it's not as smooth or easy to use as my CZ. The CZ is also adult-sized, not short like some .22LR rifles tend to be. If you get a chance, buy a CZ rifle, you won't regret it.

You know that the barrels on this rifle are interchangeable? It's easy to swap to both .22wmr or .17hmr from a .22lr. So you need one rifle and three barrels.
I have the CZ 452 Ultra Lux super exclusive, in 22LR. Special ordered it from the CZ dealer around here in 2006. It is the most accurate of my 22s. With Wolf Match 22 ammo, it will shoot one ragged hole 5 shot groups at 50 yards. CZ made me a believer in their rifles after I bought that one.
I have a CZ 22 LR Ultramatch. It has a longer barrel than most 22 rifles. I get groups of 5 rounds 1/3 the size of your baby finger nail. I use a 16 power scope and I fire SK match grade ammo. This is bench shooting. CZ makes great firearms. I also have a CZ shadow 2.

It was like yours a fine looking rifle. Long , real long. Lol
I have a CZ 455 lux .22lr rifle with something like a 28" barrel. When it fires target velocity ammo all you can hear is fffft! It's hilarious and very accurate. I used it to introduce my boy to shooting iron sights. In my opinion CZ gives you the best bang for you gun buying buck. Pun intended.
Got a CZ 452 American mounted with a redfield 4x12x40, absolutely love it. But also recently brought a Diana N.TEC luxus. 177 in the same European styling as your CZ. Beautiful walnut hogback stock and open sights. I mounted a Hawke scope, but since removed it. Because that European style looks beautiful with open sights and I do enjoy using it that way. So I can see why you are in two minds weather or not you should get a scope on it.
Great shooting with iron sights. I have a Marlin model 80 bolt action with micro groove barrel built around 1950, I have owned it since 1965 I just installed a front rail and bipod along with a scope and can't wait to get to the range and set it up. right now, with the iron sights it shoots about the same as your cz buy the way I gave $25. for mine at a pawn shop in Colorado 1965
I have one in 22 mag. The LUX version. Long barrel. They're hands down the most awesome guns. My favorite gun out of them all. I have a 22 lr as well, but the 22 wmr is my favorite. You can shoot anything you shoot with the 22 lr, but reach out further, and more punch of needed. Seriously. Get the 22 magnum. I use hornady vmax ammo, and get 1/2" groups at 100 yards.
I know you weren’t being literal by saying you haven’t pulled the trigger yet, but let me assure you when you do you’re going to be in love…excellent trigger and laser beam accuracy. I have a Tikka T1x in 22lr that’s also a tack driver with an amazing trigger.
Like I mentioned on your FB post for this video, I just got a CZ 457 as well. I think I will leave mine just open sights. I have another Winchester.22 bolt action with a scope for when I want to do that kind of shooting, but this CZ looks great as is and the iron sights are fantastic.
* I once had the 452 LUX version with 300 meter sights. They were regulated for ammo in the 1050 to 1150 fps range... for METERS of distance. IT is unfortunate to see the 300 meter sights abandoned in favor of 200 meter sights.*
I watched this better than a month ago. I wasn’t looking to buy one. But ran across a 457 match. Haven’t shot it yet next is to get a scope and base. Thanks for the video
Happiness is a CZ rifle and unlimited ammunition. I'd like to have one of every model in every caliber that they have. For now, I'd be happy with one of those in .22LR. On a fantasy level, that would be fun in .22 Hornet. I'd guess that one of these in a .25 caliber would be great for hunting deer.
We need a resurgence of 22 Hornet & firearms chambered in it. It really is an awesome little round. Wouldn't mind seeing more stuff in 22tcm either. Armscor needs to let other manufacturers produce that cartridge already. I'm worried it'll disappear soon 😬
I just picked one of these up last week. Supposedly used, but unsure if anyone's fired it even, and the price was close to half new, I couldn't pass it up. It shoots so nice, the trigger is great, and action smooth. I'm pretty happy with finding it, now looking for a decent scope for it.
I have one of these fine rifles! I have no plans to scope it, I think that a guy should have one good open sighted 22 rifle around to keep his skills sharp with. And this rifle/sight combination is well suited for that! Mine likes an older batch of CCI mini-mag 36 gr. HP that I have had on hand for some time. If you buckle down on a solid bench and use a good background and properly sized black Bull's Eye target at 100 yards, you can shoot groups that rival a scoped rifle! Anyone that grew up on farms, ranches or in the country with a 22 rifle in their hands will know... :)
What no ZOOMS? And the "check out this wood" LOL These rifles are great, wife just got me the CZ457 At-one for the big 50. Most accurate rifle i got by FAR. Great video

I know you weren’t being literal by saying you haven’t pulled the trigger yet, but let me assure you when you do you’re going to be in love…excellent trigger and laser beam accuracy. I have a Tikka T1x in 22lr that’s also a tack driver with an amazing trigger.
I just got one and absolutely love it, great for training and saving money on ammo right now!
I wouldn't walk up to just any stranger and say "check out this wood".
you have much to learn. lol
If you had wood like that you might... lol!
Like I mentioned on your FB post for this video, I just got a CZ 457 as well. I think I will leave mine just open sights. I have another Winchester.22 bolt action with a scope for when I want to do that kind of shooting, but this CZ looks great as is and the iron sights are fantastic.
Yup the irons work out great
People!!
CZ makes an outstanding Rifle!! And this rifle man is rather talented when it comes to firearms!!!
Favorite 22lr i ever shot
LOVE joy peace wealth & abundance for ALL from Thailand .
At first glance I thought it was the wildcat winchester came out with several years ago. This is a nice looking rifle.
That one is near the bottom of how fancy the CZ457 lineup is. Now with CZ acquiring Colt we’ll see what new could come out , like a new Woodsman.
Yup
Took mine out the other day. 80 yards was putting together 1 1/2" groups. Not bad for open sights.
Good shooting with open sights 👍 I rate CZ Rifles highly!
I passed up the CZ for a 10/22 Ruger with an ebony stock. Definitely picking the CZ up next trip! Thanks for sharing your review.
I just got one and cant.wait for it to get home. Awsome rifle.
I love it
Love my CZ 457. Looking to get 2nd one. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching Terry
Great looking gun, love the smooth action!
Super smooth
Sweet little .22 Great shooting at 100. Couple of 3 shot MOA groups.
Nice shootin' with open sights. What length barrel does that model have? Thanks Mike
And the "check out this wood" LOL
These rifles are great, wife just got me the CZ457 At-one for the big 50. Most accurate rifle i got by FAR.
Great video
Awesome! I love this CZ
I just got the CZ 457 Lux. Can’t wait to shoot some small games with the .22lr
I have always hankered for one. Being a lefty i know they make one. Your eyes are certianly better than mine !
Got one and just love it. I love the first one so much I got 4 more just so grand kids will have a good rifle one of these days.
Got a 457 in 22wmr. Put an optic on it and you will get amazing groups.
I own a 455 Varmint 22lr and it is phenomenal! The accuracy is incredible even with bulk pack 22lr ammo! Two hundred yards and I can bust clay birds all day long! Cz makes some fine rifles.
I love rifles with wood stocks! Beautiful! Great shooting WTW!
I have one that has a 24.8 barrel no sights. I put a Sig Saturday 4x16x44. Mine shoots dime size holes with Aquila 22 lr 38 grain hp.
Nice job! Sweet looking rifle. Anyone else notice at 100 yards you can see the bullet hit the targets? Pretty neat.
Yeah, I thought I did see one toi, too, wasn't sure!
Awesome looking rifle almost bought one last year but with the crazy year we had I didn’t
I saved my money but when things get better I would like to buy one
CZ, Tikka, and RPR 22lr videos are a lot of fun to watch. I'm sure you'll get tons of views and comments when you post videos of this one! Keep them coming.
I need a tikka now!
@@WHOTEEWHO I got one (T1X 22lr) the weekend after the election and I love it. Even bulk ammo can put 10 shots into an inch at 50 yards. Got a 300WM T3X too that's the smoothest rifle I've ever handled.
@@jbradley500 Which one of them would you recommend for practice, the 457 or the T1x? I have a Browning T bolt in .22lr, but it's a little bit on the light side IMO. I am waiting for the left handed version of CZ and Tikka's .22lr, to hit the market in Scandinavia.
@@to2s134 if you want something heavier id probably go with the CZ. They have so many options that it's hard to argue with, although I love the tikka.
What a beautiful rifle!
a little less pressure on the forend of the cz might bring those groups even closer in. it looked like you were getting a little barrel interference.
That’s a beautiful rifle. I may have to look into getting one next time I’m at the gun shop.
I love it!
