Thank you very much for this review video. I'm in the states and have been wanting a new accurate light weight rifle for hunting/plinking and this rifle is on my radar. I do not plan on entering any sanctioned competition shooting but it looks to be a great contender for the friendly contests we have at our private gun range. With the current ammo crunch will this rifle easily handle lower tier bulk ammo? I realize that would be like trying to run regular gas in a Ferrari. I do have some higher end ammo but mostly what is readily available here now is Remington Thunderbolt, etc. of which I have a bolt load of including CCI .22 quiet that I use for night time backyard raccoon hunting with my old 881 Marlin b/a. Thanks again for the video.

Hi Chris, I've just bought a CZ 457 as above. Since the optics that I'm not selling with my old rifle are Piccatinny compatible, I will need to get a slide on rail. I've seen that the CZ Pt. rail has a gap over the ejector port. Do you think the gap is necessary to allow spent bullet casing to leave the gun smoothly?

Do you find that SK ammo to be your preferred target ammo for all your CZ 457's?
I'm still testing different ammo in my LRP. It seems to shoot everything well out to 50 yards but past that SK rifle match does well and I'm working on 200 yards + at this time.

Had my eyes on one of these (and that exact scope as well), however I'm just wondering if there is going to be much difference in accuracy between the light barrel and varmint barrels (and if the vamrint may be more forgiving on different ammo). Is it worth spending the extra money / weight for the varmint barrel? Plans are for a competition 22.
Great video by the way, exactly what I was looking for.

      Hi pal
I shoot a CZ 455 .22lr with a walnut stock and heavy barrel and I always say; it's the one rifle I'll can't imagine ever selling.
Accuracy and build are exceptional for the money and the heavy barrel takes a little longer to get hot... but conversely, longer to cool.
I don't find the weight an issue and if you are target shooting then I only see it as a plus.
I use it for rabbits and have no issues taking 100 meter shots, the rifle will out shoot me, all day long.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend one pal.

Let us say you want a definite answer on some question about quantum research and find it in a research paper with all the materials and methods used and research done and all references, would you rather have Neil deGrasse Tyson or Veritasium explain to you, or on the other hand, have an unemotional recall of facts? Both would give me an excellent answer delivered in an appealing or unappealing way.
Do not be so easily riled up by mild criticism. Carry on as you deem fit. I can just give opinion from watching many channels about shooting and firearms and what appeals to me. Hello Chris ! First of all thank you for all your videos 🙏 I will buy a .22 rimfire, but I hesitate between this CZ 457 synthetic and the Savage B22 precision. I love the chassis and the look of the savage, and the trigger seems to be really good, but some people criticise it because of its « bad » reliability. The CZ seems to be incredibly reliable, and precise, but the chassis and the ergonomics... What do you think about it ? And which one is the more precise according to you ?
