Loved the review, awaiting approval on my application for a firearms licence. This is the rifle I've had my eye on for a while. You've now sold it for me. Love the content 👌🏼
Thank you for that barrel grab that showed the stock doesn’t flex too much. You’re the only one I’ve seen do that and it was something that I was very curious about
Those Winchesters are doing the business for ya mate going to buy some tomorrow I’ve been using RWS subsonic in my Cz 455 but the 457 doesn’t like them very much
Thank you very much for this review video. I'm in the states and have been wanting a new accurate light weight rifle for hunting/plinking and this rifle is on my radar. I do not plan on entering any sanctioned competition shooting but it looks to be a great contender for the friendly contests we have at our private gun range. With the current ammo crunch will this rifle easily handle lower tier bulk ammo? I realize that would be like trying to run regular gas in a Ferrari. I do have some higher end ammo but mostly what is readily available here now is Remington Thunderbolt, etc. of which I have a bolt load of including CCI .22 quiet that I use for night time backyard raccoon hunting with my old 881 Marlin b/a. Thanks again for the video.
Hi Chris, I've just bought a CZ 457 as above. Since the optics that I'm not selling with my old rifle are Piccatinny compatible, I will need to get a slide on rail. I've seen that the CZ Pt. rail has a gap over the ejector port. Do you think the gap is necessary to allow spent bullet casing to leave the gun smoothly?
You really made that rifle look good. Whats your take on 22wmr? Mine seem to struggle in the wind. Both American shooting 30gr Hornady, and Varmint shooting cci 40gr. Also have u ever tried Meopta scopes? Perfect match for these rifles
I am airgun lover and Japanese man working and living over 30 years in Bangkok. I already subscribed this channel. I also have small channel, e.g. airguns, news, cats, Thai foods, talks, thoughts etc. From t2bkk channel in Bangkok Thailand
Enjoyed this review very much! Do you find that SK ammo to be your preferred target ammo for all your CZ 457's? I'm still testing different ammo in my LRP. It seems to shoot everything well out to 50 yards but past that SK rifle match does well and I'm working on 200 yards + at this time.
Incredible accuracy. No reason to choose varmint . Can you show or describe own "Hit pattern data chart" (included sheet)? The question is - should I pay attention to it when I buy CZ 457?
Hello Chris, do you recall the torque spec for the action? hard to pin down an answer, somewhere between 25-30 im reading un officially. thats seems a bit much for a synthetic stock maybe...
took the synthetic out today shot a bunch of SK. it really likes rifle match and surprisingly pistol match! looked for that winchester here in canada, no go. closest was winchester m-22. that stuff you have is the ultimate varmint round. well, for your particular rifle anyway. cheers.
Hi Chris. Could you find a difference in accuracy between the Synthetic with the standard chamber and barrel vs the LRP with the match chamber and varmint barrel?
Had my eyes on one of these (and that exact scope as well), however I'm just wondering if there is going to be much difference in accuracy between the light barrel and varmint barrels (and if the vamrint may be more forgiving on different ammo). Is it worth spending the extra money / weight for the varmint barrel? Plans are for a competition 22. Great video by the way, exactly what I was looking for.
Hi pal I shoot a CZ 455 .22lr with a walnut stock and heavy barrel and I always say; it's the one rifle I'll can't imagine ever selling. Accuracy and build are exceptional for the money and the heavy barrel takes a little longer to get hot... but conversely, longer to cool. I don't find the weight an issue and if you are target shooting then I only see it as a plus. I use it for rabbits and have no issues taking 100 meter shots, the rifle will out shoot me, all day long. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend one pal.
Just curious Chris, are you an exceptionally skilled marksman or could anyone with some more or less serious devotion to range time get anywhere close to what you achieved from 200m out?
Hello, I would like to have the name of the weapon and the ammunition used during the text. If possible I would like to have a link for the rifle and the ammunition. as well as the sound reducer or silencer
I had my heart set on the 20" Varmint model with the heavy barrel but after watching this i might go for the synthetic, the accuracy seems to be just as good with the light weight barrel of this synthetic model, ....... why? I thought the lightweight barrels were not as accurate
Hi Chris. I've just recently bought one of these. Have you tried Aguila powderless .22 through this rifle. id be very interested on your thoughts on them thanks.
Accurate review. I have the CZ 457 American (24 inch barrel) with walnut stock. Getting MOA groups at 100 and 200 yards makes this mediocre shooter feel good!
Hola como estas??? buenos dias... donde puedo conseguir la mira que tenes en la carabina, gracias. Hi how are you??? good morning... where can I get the sight you have on the rifle. Thank you
Yes it will. I bought a separate 17HMR varmint barrel for mine, and the barrel channel in the synthetic stock does not touch the barrel at all, not even while resting the forend on a bipod.
Thank you for this excellent video. I was vacillating between two rifles to buy, and this convinced me. This is the first time a watch a video from this channel due to my research in which CZ LR to buy. Imo the narration is a bit cold and clinical, whereas I prefer a more relatable presentation. No worries. Just my preference. That is why I won't subscribe. Maybe this little bit of "criticism" is of some benefit.

BOG Death grip, it comes with the tripod from Sportsman Gun Centre

Hello, very nice video. I would like to know the silencer you used for the test.
I have got a .22 FAC airifle huggett moderator would this be ok with subsonic amo with the CZ 457 Synthetic 22LR
Don’t suppose you can do a video on how to change the trigger weight on the Cz 457?
I could but RUclips may well bin it as a waste of time because they don't like technical detail shared and have 'burned' me in the past for it

I don't understand why you say it has no bolt lock, it's a bolt action right.
When the safety is engaged the bolt does not lock in place, meaning you could accidentally chamber a round even on safe
