    It's sad to me how many people hate this girl...
    She was so young and reckless and misguided, so who can honestly blame HER for his death when he OD'ed after she was already dead, possibly by his hand?
    I think this interview is sort of sweet, she's trying to keep him awake for an interview, looking after him. She seems to me to be the more coherent, aware one of the two while he's just out of his mind on drugs, stoned.
    And honestly people, its not her fault she had a funny accent. Really now.

    I'm reading the book "And I don't want to live this life" ("Inte som andra döttrar" in Sweden), and it's very touching to see and hear Nancy speak. She had not a easy life.

    Mfried666 - I've been a heroin addict for quite some years and this is exactly what grade A heroin does to a person. You nod off and are in and out of it quite like an alternate reality where you come to and aren't quite sure what's been happening. This is exactly how he is acting and for someone to dispute that, they have obviously never used the drug.

    He wore a swastika for shock value.
    Nazi Punk is something that Sid hated, he said that Nazi Punks had no place in music. But yeah. Shock value, and that's it.

      No one used the term "nazi punk' until that dead kennedys song.............there is no such thing as a nazi punk...........although the closest thing strangely enough would be ANTIFA doing the govt bidding and not getting arrested.........

    Although she was on drugs as well, she did try to encourage Sid to continue with his career, even tried to get him some gigs that he most likely never turned up to. He was letting his life fall apart, and she was dependant on him to get it sorted, sadly it didn't work out for either of them.

    The only thing I got to say is that this is now part of music history. Nothing is made to ake everyone happy. People adore Sid and nancy because of their rebeliiousness as people not conforming to rules, and other's hate because they abused drugs. I prsonally don't do drugs but am a rebel at heart and just admire the rebelliosness of the youth of the past. And NO we don't have to be fucked UP to make statements.

  • @Veggieboo
    @Veggieboo 18 лет назад +1

    Thank you. They each made up their own minds to do the drugs they did and do the things they did. They may have brought out the worst in each other, but they also really loved each other. Who's to say what's right or not. They were adults. Well kinda.

  • @ladidagirl666
    @ladidagirl666 16 лет назад +12

    I think I read somewhere that one of Sid's friends hated Nancy because she was extremely unlikable and everyone could see through her because she just wanted to sleep with a sex pistol initially. People started asking why Sid bothered with her but the friend said that she always saw it like sid was the kid and nancy was the mom, giving him affection he never got. You can really see that here. R.I.P. S and N

  • @PuddingAtheist
    @PuddingAtheist 12 лет назад +2

    Well Sid Vicious was introduced to heroin by Nancy, but Nancy did give Sid his creative ambitions. Courtney however wanted Kurt Cobain to become more commercial and introduced him to heroin on top of it. Yoko Ono was just the woman inn the middle of the fab four, distracting Lennon from music. That's why everybody hates her.

    I think that that interview is right after their last concert in San Francisco. So may be Nancy is talking about it at the begining, Sid being high and Johny like whatever...
    Even though Sid sucked at playing base, he's more notorious an remembered that any of the Pistols, Sid is an icon among the rock, punk and other worlds.
    And yeah, Sid was constantly unplugged. Still he had a lot of fun!

    It was the 70s, and swastikas were very fashionable within the very new punk culture. Things were different then, it's now much more fashionable and trendy to wear anti-swastika shirts, even though the kids that wear them know nothing of real politics.

    @BigBoomRobot It baffles me how people like you can hate Nancy Spungen, even though you never met her, or personally knew her! She's done nothing to you. It's none of anyone's FUCKING business who Sid Vicious wanted to be with. People like you may not like Nancy Spungen, but the hate you speak towards someone who died, and truly did no harm to anyone is truly disgusting. Nancy was inspirational, and yes she did drugs, but really, what the hell has she done to YOU?

    I don't understand all the hatin'. Sure, Sid was without a doubt one of the most talentless stars to ever grace the stage but the dude had style and a presence and really defined an attitude an image.
    And although Nancy seems to get universally crapped on, in all the interviews and clips I've seen she seems to really genuinely love and care for Sid. They were both "losers" but at least their love was genuine.
