When the game, Half Life 2, was released, there was a book which accompanied it called 'Raising the Bar'. The book was appropriately named because to this day, Half Life 2 puts the majority of games in the shade with its quality, ambition, innovation and execution. We may well be looking at the same scenario in the 1/6 figure community with this figure, that is a timeless piece which has set the bar so high in standards, it will be extremely difficult to match. Can a Hot Toys 3.0 get close to this? Will they even try? Or will they take a different route and base their 3.0 on the nurse Joker?
Great job Justin. There was clearly a lot of effort involved. Just as Inart looks to have taken us a step forward in our hobby, you have "levelled up" too in getting into the nitty gritty with this masterpiece.
I would love to see them give it a go! And thank you for noticing, this was one of the biggest videos I've ever done and I'm very proud of how it turned out!
Looks like Inart has raised the bar on sixth scale figures! The price is reflected very well, this set is too rich for my blood, but I have Gandalf on preorder!
Any news on the Dune Paul Atriedes figure? I imagine since they’ve revealed Aragorn, it won’t be long?

I only started collecting about 3 years ago and have many figures that I wished I was in the game to pick up. Heath Ledger's Joker was always one that I wish I could get my hands on and luckily the sixth scale gods granted me this opportunity to pick up this amazing figure. Thank you for this excellent review and I simply cannot wait to get my hands on this.

I've had the DX11 for years, and it is an amazing figure. This makes that look like a cheap third party knock off. Absolutely amazing. With companies like Inart, Kaustic Plastic, and iconiq studios, Hot toys is no longer the best 1/6 figure company. They do not put this much care into anything these days like they used to, and like these companies are doing now. I hope inart can pry all the licenses that hot toys are sitting on and doing nothing with (like terminator, alien, predator) and do amazing work with them!
What are the IPs that Kaustig Plastic and Iconic studios have the rights for?
@@tonileo9849 Iconic is doing street fighter and American psycho and Kaustic plactic does a variety of stuff, they just announced Fonzie from the show happy days and it has a 1/6 scale bluetooth jukebox. better than whatever hot toys is shitting out these days.
@@dylanhicks-seriouslug768 oh gotcha! Yeah hot toys more or less mirrors the movie lanscape nowadays so mcu, dc, star wars. There are some outliers like john wick or alita bsttle angel, or the new neo, but thats kinda it, not a lot of diversity.
Hot Toys more or less controls the Star Wars and Marvel / DC licenses, and I think they will continue to do so for a while yet. InArt will certainly force Hot Toys to innovate (and by all signs have done so already) but they will probably stick to one-off figures and statues rather than being completionist like Hot Toys. That can only enhance their reputation for novelty products.

It’s also amazing how much the tailoring of the clothes makes a difference in the realness factor. Makes the Hot Toys look like dolls and that’s saying something as a big Hot Toys fan myself.

Fantastic overview, thank you for showing how to assemble things - a lot easier to follow a video than a manual, even if color-illustrated.
I really don't know how anyone can still say InArt is overhyped. They delivered a final product that is as close to the prototype as I've seen from any company.
Very happy to see mass-produced figures that feel like small-run customs. The price for everything in the rooted 2-pack would have cost 2-3 times more if sourced individually or on a smaller production scale.

I need this in my freaking life. Like yesterday 😱😱😱🤯🤯🤯 everything on this figure is a work of art and it's perfect . I'm in OG collector and I have the original DX01 Joker. I've had the DX11. But this figure completely blows every Joker figure out of the water a thousand times over 💯💯💯💯 I need to sell some stuff because I need this in my display. Wow so beautiful 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️😍😍

Looks incredible. It's a shame that you have to buy the 2-pack in order to get the rooted hair though. Having to buy 2 of the same very expensive figure just to get the version you want is pretty anti-consumer in my opinion.
Makes it even more exclusive and premium. But from at the time of posting this comment (prior to the sculpted hair version video being released), I have heard very good things about the cheaper figures as well.
@bevanml Have no problem with paying a premium price for a premium figure, but being forced to buy 2 of them is kind of dirty. I've got the sculpted on the way but would have loved to get this one.
Hey this is their first figure and they fixed this with their next releases after the feedback from the community.All the releases we are seeing are now single pack rooted and sculpted.That is very transparent and the company listened to the community.

Love the review! Congratulations to InArt for a tremendous debut to the 1/6th scale game. While I will continue to purchase Hot Toys, I really hope this is a wake up call to them. While they're off making controversial and divisive headsculpts and still releasing figures with single jointed elbows, InArt is showing them how it's supposed to be done. I understand the price for entry for InArt but Hot Toys is still asking for hundreds of dollars and sometimes giving us inferior technology and materials.

Oh boy thank you for this review! I have this on preorder the moment it was announced! I’ve been worried since then, because of the price point. But those promo pictures made me take the leap. I’ve seen their statues but don’t own any. But I was hoping they pulled it off. I’m glad you approve because now I’m super excited. More excited then when I preordered it. I was debating which version I was going get, rooted or sculpted. I went rooted! I wanted both but can’t afford both. It’s insane how every accessory has metal. I don’t think the guns or grenades needed to be metal as long as it was well detailed and painted! But I can’t wait to get mine in hand! Thanks again for the review.

@@JustinsCollection both rooted and sculpted head looks great though. inart and queen studios should continue the momentum. I hope their Dark Knight and Burton versions will not be on a rubber suit so it could be more articulated. I hope you can put out the word to them if they are planning to do so in the near future

The engineering of this figure is incredible. the attention to detail on the accessories are unbelievable. I am a long time collector with many great figures and the quality on this figure from packaging to the hands look to be simply amazing. The head sculpts coming in their cylinders and the way they are presented is simply perfect. It has to be said though, those head sculpts are not right and if we are honest with each other all would agree. I wanted the headculpt to be right soooo much. Such a painful pass for me as everything else is beyond perfect.... Headsculpt is the most important part though in my view. The hair looks exceptional as does the paintwork. it just doesnt look right. I am optimistic for the upcoming Aragorn after seeing this though and may take the jump there is i had an inkling this would miss the mark

My goodness this figure looks exactly like the promotional pictures for the movie. And I can hardly believe that the guns are made from real metal, how does InArt pack so many details in the guns? They even look better than my 1/6 military weapons made by Easy & Simple, and they're top of the line in 1/6 military figures.
