*MAD THRASH* ALX400 Dennis Trident on Route 261 [ Stagecoach ]

Full kickdown from first to fourth - 6:30
LX03NFA is seen on Route 261 to Bromley Common, Bus garage. Usually the route goes to Princess Royal Hospital but as to not exceed maximum driving hours ibus requested we be curtailed to the bus garage. This was an amazingly fast run but sadly these tridents will probably (Not sure though) be replaced by Smart Hybrids as the 261 is due to get them with examples due for West Ham being diverted to TB and TL for the 136,199 and 208. Catch these whilst you can.

ALX400 Tridents were the first buses I rode on in my life. Their engine sounds are very iconic to me.

@@filledwithvariousknowledge2747 Idk what Streetdeck you have been looking at, but everyone I have seen have a completely different bodywork which looks nothing like an ALX400 and Streetdecks sound quite a bit quieter.

Thankfully many of the DWs have been upgraded to much better condition so now they are much faster than before and LK65s sometimes turn up on the 269. Still not the same as a Trident though.

The V-MEV, X-NNO, Y-NHK, 51 Plates were also used on the 158. In 2014 S801 BWC was also used on the 158 Extra.

This is very much not the norm for the route. Its the combination of this being the drivers last trip, getting stuck in traffic in Grove Park and being curtailed to the bus garage as to not exceed maximum driving hours that caused this level of thrash. I've used the route many times before and while they are somewhat fast, its never been to this level.

@@LondonsTransport Do the 136 with a Trident and yes this is not normal for the 261 as I got a E400 floored at 40mph after Treewall Gardens. Pretty much those works are ending as of this week so everything will be fine (not)
Well the Tridents are coming to an end but at least we still have them as part of our enthusiasm :/
