John Fogerty. Legendary voice. Legendary songwriter. Legendary band. Ask Tina Turner. Classic, timeless music. Hip shakin' on that old wood dance floor. The best grooves. Suzie Q. I can just see her. Thanks so much John Fogerty. A fan since the '60s.
My CCR favorites - " Born on the Bayou " and " I Put a Spell on You ".
ME 3
Same😁👏👏👏
I Heard It Through the Grapevine!
The 11 minute version!
Yes, more Creedence! Fortunate Son & Born on the Bayou please 😘
My grandson's name is Creedence. He's 15 months old. My daughter had the doctor to play CCR during delivery. He was born to " Have you ever seen the rain"
Dudes...."Born On The Bayou" a must listen. Enjoy your journey.
The 60's and 70's were filled with bands 'ahead of their time'.
More Creedence? Hmm, maybe the ten minute jam cover of "I Heard it Through the Grapevine".
How about 'Keep on Chooglin!'
Greetings from California. They busted out in the mid 60's! I grew up listening to them. The singer, John Fogerty is still takin care of business! He wrote the majority of their tunes as well as being lead guitarist and singer. I saw them at the Santa Clara County Fair Grounds when I was a freshman in high school.
This was 1968... Great band from the San Francisco Bay Area... next you need to listen to "I Put A Spell On You", then "Born On The Bayou", then "Have You Ever Seen The Rain"... then... you get the point...
This was recorded in the years when the discoverd the use of stereo. It was fun to listening to. Allways a great band by the way
CCR is as American as baseball, apple pie and Chevrolet! It’s just straight forward rock.
Their first hit song, 1968. "Susie Q" was a song by Dale Hawkins in 1957. John Fogerty knew this was the song to introduce as a single...the rest is musical history. You guys have so much CCR to enjoy and discover! Great reaction.🎸🌟
Guys, You will love "I put a spell on you" CCR. Love your channel and reactions.
That performance is unbelievable
This is Southern Rock sound.....some call CCR’s sound “swamp rock”.....as in the bayous of Louisiana. You are getting into the good, solid bands of that period now...the ones that were just beneath the TITANS (The Beatles, Zeppelin, Floyd, Rolling Stones, The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Who....later Queen). They were part of the hugely “deep bench” of talent....dozens of bands who could fill arenas and added to the soundtrack of our lives back then. You have a limitless horizon of wonderful music to explore......have fun!
We called it HILL BILLY ROCK LOLOL😃
And they are from California.
You must listen to their 11-minute version of "I heard it through the grapevine".
That's the stereo effect where you hear one part on one side and the other in the other ear. Without headphones, you wouldn't tell the difference.
You should check out I Heard It Through the Grape Vine, Born On The Byou, Green River, I Put A Spell On You , Bad Moon Rising, Run Through The Jungle, Who'll Stop The Rain, Fortunate Son, Midnight Special, Effigy, or a host of others. I think if you really dig into their albums, you'll find a lot of really great music that didn't get much radio play.
Good to see some old school Georgians reacting to Southern Rock!
CCR - Sweet HitchHiker and Hey Tonight Both Bangers! You need to react!! Love your Channel!
Thank you for doing CCR, a great band..please check out "I Put A Spell On You" you guys will love the guitar solo, which is performed by the lead singer
Owned a bar in the Philippines 2006-2009, El Gecko in Cebu City, when Suzie Q came on the bar staff had a routine and would dance on the bar counter... memories...
One of my favorites and I am 70 years old. Thank you!
CCR was at Woodstock with Janice Joplin, Jimie Hendrix,Santana.Woodstock was in 1969.
CCR does the best version of “Put a spell on you” of All Time.
Check it out you will love it.
You got good taste! John Fogerty is a musical genius. Boy are you going
to have fun with this band...🎵🎸🎶
'Keep on Chooglin' is my favorite CCR jam along with this one, 'I Put a Spell on You', and 'I Heard it Through the Grape Vine.' Their sound is so uncluttered and never suffers from over-production. It's those four guys, in the same room, playing at the same time. The way that it should be. P.S. to the Bro's. No one in the 60's or 70's was "ahead of their time." This is the time when all that music of first emerged. This was the music of their time! Also, as others have mentioned, you've only heard half of this song...
Keep On Chooglin made my ears ring for a week after a Fogerty concert, if you get the right version it is an epic song!
This is one groovy tune. CCR was indeed epic. That sensation of the music moving back and forth between speakers was a common thing for some bands-- I tend to forget stuff like that! Your reaction just shows how naturally well versed you guys are in appreciating great music. I agree....MORE CREEDENCE!!😍
You listened to the radio version. The album version is 8:39 min long.
Album version is a classic!!!!
CCR...ICONIC....Unique sound! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Born on the Bayou is the best. CCR is a very chill mood.
A lot of people say the music of CCR is the music of the Vietnam War.
When you listen to it you can almost hear Huey helicopters in the background.
That was cut short, you should listen to the full version
Yes! You should!
Y'all listened to the version that was truncated for radio play. You should check out the full length song, which is over 8 minutes long on their debut album. On the 40th anniversary of their self-titled debut album, they included a live version of this song that's over 10 minutes long, and it's probably the best one. Do yourselves a favor and try at least one of these longer versions. Try also "Born on the Bayou" (be sure to get the full 5-minute version), "Bootleg (Alternate Take)", "I Put a Spell on You", "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" (the full 11-minute jam), or get into their deeper tracks that nobody reacts to like "The Working Man", "Pagan Baby", "Feelin' Blue", "Walk on the Water", "Gloomy", "Effigy", "Ramble Tamble", or their 1970 Oakland concert version of "Keep on Chooglin'".
Really enjoy your reactions. More from CCR, “Down on the Corner”, “Born on the Bayou”, “Bad Moon Rising”. One of these days, if you haven’t already, try some Grateful Dead.
Swampy! Too funny coming from band from Oregon and Northern California. My favorite tune is Ramble Tamble by them. Their biggest hit was "Have you ever seen the rain." They had 5 singles hit #2 a record. So original. You will love exploring. One more, "Fortunate Son"
Born on the Bayou is an incredible song
Welcome to the land of Dirty Swamp Water Soul music.
The best part is the 2cond part. Mentioned a few times already...released in 1968 as single A/B side so you had the complete album version. At that time (and still) radiostations played mostly the A side, while the B-side contains the better part & guitar work. The song was recorded in 1 take in the studio. Talking about musicians!!!
There was a Suzie Quatro back in that day, 1968
Suzie Quatro! Also a singer. Wore leather pants if I remember rightly.
One of my favorite singers still. John Fogerty. Enjoy!!! Keep them coming. That guitar is amazing. No 2 songs of theirs alike. Keep it up! Then soe Angelina Jordan " I put a special on you r anything from he age 6 to present 14
The greatest music of all time is happening before you, never will there ever be music like the 60s and 70s.
Music was unique back then, the stereos of the day could play in stereo or you could flip a switch and listen to only the right channel or only the left channel played through all the speakers. So, bands, some times put the main vocal on the left channel and the music & harmony background vocals on the right. So the listener could sing the song themselves and have the band & harmonies to sing to. there was also a stereo & mono switch that blended everything in all the speakers. This also made writing the words down easier since the vocal contained bleed-through of the band.
Glad you enjoyed Creedence such a fantastic band. They have lots more to hear such as "Bad Moon Rising" "Lodi", "Proud Mary", and "Born on the Bayou".
💯 Great reaction guys! (When I was a little girl, my father called me Susie Q! I loved this song even more because of that memory!) "Bad Moon Rising" & "Run Through the Jungle" are both very cool songs! I always loved CCR's rhythms! 🔥🤘
CCR is amazing! Another amazing band is The Guess Who!
Just plain badass! Thanks dudes!
I remember at home with my perants we had this single record, the A side, and the B side, the quitar solo went on and on. Great music.
This is one of CCR's tamer more laid back songs
I just discovered your channel today through your Heart Stairway to Heaven reaction. Love how much you were able to appreciate it. Then saw your Bohemian Rhapsody reaction, then this one. You guys appreciate great music!
It's funny - the brother on the left reminds me of the guy from Yes Theory and the brother on the right reminds me of Khabib Nurmagomedov, haha! Keep up the great reactions!
All the way down blues avenue guys.....awesome! ...... and this is old technology......Yep. 👍😎❤️
Thank you for playing my request. Love you.
REALLY enjoying Y'alls reactions, GREAT INTRODUCTION to Our BELOVED CCR😙😍😎
CCR are great bangers like Born on the Bayou, Fortunate Son, Bad Moon Rising, Proud Mary, Down on the Corner and Up Around the Bend all classics dudes
Love CCR, “Lookin out back door” 🔥🔥🔥
so many hits from this band
Another awesome reaction. You should check the full version. Also "I put a spell on you" , "Born on the bayou", "I heard it through the Grapevine" .. I know you'll enjoy it.
Sublime drum work, best of the era
"Who'll stop the rain" is also a great song.
So heady! It always puts me in a trance. Now: Born on the Bayou!
Listen to "Born On The Bayou" and "I Put A Spell On You" and "Good Golly Miss Molly". You guys won't be disappointed!!!!
Bands in the 60's & 70's did a lot of experimenting with changing the sound from stereo A to stereo B to create the Left to Right sensation you're experiencing
Rush Limbaugh was one of the GREAT American political commentators and Suzie Q was the theme song of his radio show because his wife's name was Suzie
There are no bad Creedence songs. They were epic and prolific.
Very interesting banned from California with a very strong Southern blues influence. Popular in the middle of the Vietnam war with lots of protest undertones as well as soul influenced songs. Suzie Q was actually a minor hit for them.
Love their song Effigy
Heard it through the grapevine...live...
Guys push it bit listen to Ever seen the Rain, best fell good song ever. You will both smile big time.
I was surprised you did the AM radio version. There's so much more to this song. For me their earlier stuff was their best. They were really more of a blues rock band early on, and slowly added more 'commercial' music (which was still great). Some of my favorites by them are the ones that were never played on the radio - 99 1/2 Won't Do, Porterville, Good Golly Miss Molly, Penthouse Pauper, Effigy...
Vanilla Fudge "Keep Me Hanging On" should give you a feel of what psychedelia is all about
Gotta listen to more of CCR with John Fogerty singing. He is the voice of. CCR
I also like It came out of Sky and Run through the Jungle.
I Heard it Through the Grapevine
Check out CCRs "Ramble Tamble"
Great song also like Porterville
CCR I put a spell on you a great performance
Los mejores
great reaction to the "Blessing for my ears", now you gotta react to "Keep On Choogin" it's a real banger. Keep up the good work and you will be at one hundred K before you know it.
There are many psychedelic songs from the late 60 through the early 70's.
Try Norman Greenbaum/Spirit In The Sky and the Temptations/Psychedelic Shack. Also Diana Ross & the Supremes/Reflections.
Amazing stuff considering the era when everything was done with real people and no computers existed for musical enhancement.
Great Reaction dudes !
Just hit a Diamond mine , they have so so many huge hits. One of the greatest American bands of all time
RIGHT!!
"Born on the bayou" "I Put A Spell On You", "I heard It Through The Grapevine", "Midnight Special", " Green River", "Tombstone Shadow", are a few to get you started with Creedence Clearwater Revival......Enjoy.
Fortunate Son and Bad Moon Rising are classics for a reason. Check them out. You will not be disappointed. Keep up the great work, guys!
Pink Floyd is why we have stereo the left and rights music in different ears and so forth...
CCR Fortunate Son and I heard it through the Grapevine are mi favorits! Check it out
Run through the Jungle... :)
CCR - I Heard It Through The Grapevine (Long Version)
See the movie Apocalypse Now. This song is played in my favorite scene.
singer is also lead guitar player.
Listen to their EP version of Grapevine.
I ditto the comment below - You must find and listen to the long version. That will really blow your mind.
Heard it thru the grapevine, live version....
Thanks, y'all. I'm gonna assume you followed my suggestion here 😘
Like they said, Fortunate Son and Born on the Bayou.
Pagan Baby, Long as I can see Light, Green River, Fortunate Son.
If you like the music going back and forth in your headphones, please listen, and react, to Lucky Man by Emerson, Lake and Palmer!
Wrong version this was the cutdown radio version you missed the best half of the song. 🤣🥧💥🤪🔨
That intro is filthy
