You would swear John Fogerty was born on the bayou and not in Northern California. What an epic vocalist, lyricist and guitarist.
I think it was Fresno.
Never get tired of this song. Just so good.
Beautiful CCR song. Heartfelt vocals. We all wait for that "someday" moment when we will understand everything. Guidance from family and friends is crucial. Thanks so much guys for your thoughts!
Emerson Lake & Palmer live 1992 Royal Albert Hall Tarkus/Pictures at an Exhibition or1997 Montreux jazz festival same songs. ✌🏼❤️🇺🇦🇬🇪 from California
I love love love Creedence Clearwater Revival! They are amazing and wonderful! Love your reaction 🌺✌️
Gorgeous song. That feeling, your parents telling you that one day you will understand. You don't really believe it. When I had my daughter the awesomeness and responsibility was like a huge wave and I worried would I be ok, would we? I went to my parents and sincerely apologised for everything I ever did wrong, realising just how enormous the love and fear and protection you have for this small human you created, feels. They laughed and said my sister had done the same when she had her first child!
I hope you guys and your families are safe and well while all this awfulness is going on. I can hardly bear to watch the news.
Meanwhile, music unites us; a small thing perhaps but an important one. My love to you guys as we all hope and pray for the best. x
Absolutely love this song. Next up: As Long As I Can See The Light
Nice to hear you have a great dad. Your relationship with him shows in the caring and thoughtful men you both are. Stay safe.
Thanks guys........for got how much I liked this song and how good it was in it's day.
Beautiful, I grow up with CCR bought all their albums, there are so many awesome songs from CCR. Great reactions guys, thank you for sharing this awesome song!! Take care Patrick ( love your singing) and George your awesome!! Your both awesome!! 😊💓✌️🤘
A very sad song about the break-up of families, the Dad not being there to support his son, the Dad not being there when his son was being born and then himself leaving the family. It is a little uncanny that John Fogerty wrote this for CCR's last album before they broke up and when he says '....I think it was September, the year I went away...' I am reminded that his brother Tom died in September 1990. Musically, another beautiful song with deep and meaningful lyrics from John.
he was also divorcing his first wife as well
I haven't heard that song before by CCR, I really enjoyed it, such poignant lyrics, amazing song. Good one, guys! I know I've asked for these songs before, but I would love you to react to Ramble Tamble and Pagan Baby, two of my all-time favourite CCR songs. Listen to them a lot in the car. I'm sure you will be reacting to them sometime which will be great. Thanks so much for this reaction, guys, thinking of you as always, stay safe and take care. All the best.
Haven't heard this one in decades. Nice to hear it again. Thinking and praying for you guys - family, friends and countrymen... Stay safe and Strong!
Same thing goes with appreciating your brother too, huh. Especially after getting scared from reacting to the Shining. I watched your reaction to the Shining and I think you were really missing your brother cause it scared the crap outta you. That was awesome. Oh yeah, I like your reaction to Creedence too. Peace
That voice is never duplicated nor very often imitated.
Bro's, great reaction to your 13th CCR song!! I'd recommend "Down On The Corner" as your 14th!!
Dynamite reaction brothers thanks 😊
Keep on rockin!
I had forgotten about this great CCR song. Thanks for reacting to it. Another great one by them is Long As I Can See the Light., I don’t think you have done it yet.
Like-father-like-son....Harry Chaplin crushed that theme with Cats In the Cradle.
I love when you guys sing little bits ❤
Wow !! I love this band !!
CCR are the Best !
Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Latinoamérica 🙋🇦🇷😰
Ustedes son dos "Fenómenos"!!
Wow.. I completely forgot about this one.
Thanks guys!
Great reaction. My dad passed away but he absolutely loved CCR and he also loved to listen to The Eagles. Great music. Cheers
I remember requesting this one several months ago.....I love this lesser-known CCR song.
It's thematically similar to Harry Chapin's "Cat's in the Cradle" (i.e. how an ignored son turns out to be like the father)
I'm so glad you reacted to it. I think you are the first reacters to do it.
Fogerty has said in an interview, it was written from s father/son perspective, but applies to all family relationships
When this song came out I was 11 years old, transitioning from elementary school to junior high school, I grew up listening to "Creedence Clearwater Revival", I've never heard a bad song from them. This song always made me feel a bit melancholy because everyone waits for the day when they understand, but, that day, "Never comes", the sad truth is, at times, we need to find away to believe that it all makes sense in the end.
Hey Bros!! Love CCR
♥♥♥ this song! so poignant!
Albums Green River, Bayou Country, Cosmos Factory. All great beginning to end
This was at the end, one of their best, you need to hear EFFIGY !
Wow thanks! I have not heard that in forever!
Lesser known CCR gem. Great choice.
Out of all the bands you have reacted to I have seen 27 of them live in concert. The 70s were the shit for music. CCR at 11 years old I am 61 now.
Wow, this song always hit me hard because I didn't have a father or father figure growing up, I feel a little jealous hearing about your relationship with your dad 🥺
Beautiful!! My favorite CCR tune. Thanks. I needed that! 😎🎶❤
Very good insights brothers. Spot on.
Wow, been a long time, not my 1st CCR song choice usually so gets missed. Thank you for reacting to this. And.... I don't know how you decide on your song choices but you guys are doing an awesome job. Also I just want to mention I have watched your "Sultans of Swing" reaction again (3x), so glad you watched the Alchemy version! Great reaction. 💯
I think the message is that you'll never understand what your father meant about the meaning of it all since he never understood it either, there's no secret recipe for being a good parent and a good human being in general and history is doomed to repeat itself. Some wounds never heal but we, as parents, do what we can. Sad lyrics, beautiful song. Great harmonies, Patrick, and George, I agree 200% with you on John Fogerty's voice, he has one of the best rock and roll voices ever, up there with John Lennon and Van Morrison
Well said, men.
You should listen to midnight special, cross tie walker and who stop the rain. Another great songs of Creedence!
Ramble Tamble ....got to do this one...they bring it....let the Beatles try this !
I grew up on the great music of the 60's-70's. CCR has always been one of my favorites. They don't have a bad song! John Fogerty has one of the most unique & recognizable voices around. All their songs are great. You guys have listened to so many of them already. Will suggest "Lodi", "Commotion", "Night Time Is The Right Time", "Down On The Corner", "Midnight Special", "Travelin' Band", "Who'll Stop The Rain", "Up Around The Bend", "Run Through The Jungle", "Sweet Hitch-Hiker" etc.
Great song!! Now hit CCR'S "Sweet Hitch-hiker " it's a banger!!!
You guys need to hit up some live Who one of these days ! 🔥
The message of this song reminds me of "Cat's In The Cradle" by Harry Chapin.
Y'all are adorable.
Johns dad left when he was kid and he wrote this when he was divorced from his first wife and left a son
It is a good one 👍
John Fogerty has always been a huge part of my youth and to the day. Such a talent. Check out his video of how the song Green River came to be ( utube) most think he is from the south because of the songs he wrote. He is from Northern California. Truth
Great reaction!!! A huge band I would love to see you react is BLUE OYSTER CULT!!! Top song is “Don’t fear the reaper”🙏🏻
U guys r awesome, 👍🏻
Beautiful song...as a follow up song that is the same as as your interpretation of this one, please react to Harry Chapin "Cats in the Cradle" a father/ son story
This is my favorite CCR song.
It's about the chain reaction of males without positive male role models having to figure it out for themselves.
I am a result of a broken home without any positive male role models.
I'm harmless, but I didn't turn out right.
I'm just a rogue elder male telling it like it is.
It came out of the sky.....was never released as a single, on the Willy and the Poorboys LP. From this album another daimond: Effigy
He is singing about his real life personal story his Dad left him and never came back.
Looks like you've done quite a few CCR songs. I'm new to your channel but you guys are officially my favorite reaction channel. You should listen to Big Head Todd and the Monsters. 2 songs It's Alright and Bittersweet both live performances from Red Rocks
Welcome to these awesome reactors.
The last album from CCR, and quite a disappointment, weak songs except for this one which is a true gem, great reaction, guys 👍👏🤘
Hey, brothers. I have a request. Not many reactors have reacted to this song. It’s hard to find many. The song is called, Me and Mrs. Jones , sung by Billy Paul. It’s really smooth, silky smooth. I know you guys don’t react that much to slower songs, but you should change it up more. This song is cool and different. Do the live Soul Train version. Thanks.
Deep song. Alot of meaning. Please listen to "Somewhere calling my name". John Fogerty gospel. His voice is awesome!
Hey guys. I love ur reactions. There’s one by Linkin park I know you would love. It’s called Faint. Thank you
This song is a haunting reminder that the sins of the fathers will either be resolved or repeated.
Joe Walsh,Turn to Stone,Live.Thanks.
👏👏 garopaba sc Brasil
Good one from my high school days. Not sure what other CCR songs you've done but "Keep on chooglin" " Molina" Born on the Bayou. Too many to list
Hi Scott, Keep On Chooglin' is such a good song, and just to let you know, the guys have already reacted to Born on the Bayou. Great reaction and fab song! Cheers.
Sure miss mine
Still hoping for GOLDEN EARRING. Thank you
CCR were only 3 on this album and song..Tom Fogerty left the group for a solo career...
When are u going to react to some female musicians I've requested Teena Marie several times" De ja vu"...patiently waiting.
where did you get the CCR shirt
Try Michael McDonald, I Keep Forgetting
Please react to Georgia by Willie Nelson.
Are you guys next to Russia?
Ephesians 6:2-3
React to pagan baby
One of my fav CCR songs, and great reaction. This is off topic, but I just heard Zelensky making a reference to the Spartan 300 and I pray that's not how the Ukrainian resistance goes down in history. March 6, 1836, the Mexican army overran the Alamo, and the defenders all died for their cause. Sorry, this song just kinda tugs at my heart strings and imo, Putin is a bigger douche than Santa Anna was. And that's saying a lot.
What happenned with linkin park. ? You started this channel to get views but when we ask you fail to delivery. Plese Do Faint by Linkin park
One of CCR's best..and sadly their last hit
