One thing I love about this time period 60’s-70’s was that, it was raw talent. There were almost no electronic effects for instruments. Everything was just the ability of the musicians to make their instruments sing with their natural abilities. I’m so glad I got to be part of that time period.
Love your reaction guys. It’s great to see you experiencing this amazing music for yourselves.

CCR- Cotton Fields, Who'll Stop the Rain, Have You Ever Seen the Rain, I Heard It Through the Grapevine, Bad Moon Rising, Green River, Lodi, Fortunate Son, Proud Mary, Run Through the Jungle, Looking Out My Back Door, Down on the Corner, Suzy Q, Sweet Hitchhiker, Born on the Bayou, Long as I See The Light, Ramble Tamble. Can really not go wrong with any CCR tunes.

Grew up in the 70's, no phone, internet, TV, no distractions. You listened to the radio and bought their records, then tapes, if you were lucky you saw them in concert, i grew up in Socal there were many concerts to go to, all live, no gimmicks, no MTV. The best bands had 4-5 members that could all stand on their own. CCR put it all together and had 4 amazing years. Too manay hits to list. CHECK THEM OUT!

Great song choice. You asked how these musicians found each other. I think based on living during the 60s and 70s that it started in the sixties after the success of Beatles, the Stones, the Who and other rock groups when so many young guys wanted to be in bands so they could emulating their rock heroes and perhaps impress the opposite sex. Also since we didn't have PCs, cell phones, Nintendo games etc. to distract us many had more time to devote to learning to play and perfect a musical instrument in most cases guitar, keyboard or drums. Just the shear number of baby boomers meant there were many potential great musicians among those into music who were able to find each other and form a band. I don't know if there were more venues for live music than today but it seemed that most bars and colleges had live music at least on the weekend where many local bands could practice their craft. Those with talent could find work touring locally and hopefully go on to fame. Also local radio stations had the ability to play unknown groups unlike todays where almost all stations have set music playlists. I don't think playing in a band was seen as a career path for most but it was just doing something they enjoyed.

We used to refer to this band as CCR or just Credence...but, whatever, they had a string of hit albums, where EVERY song was amazing &, like the Beatles, u played EVERY track! I may be old now but I won't ever regret being a teen in the 60's. We had the most creative, amazing artists living in the San Francisco area. They were everywhere. Saw many of them at venues like the Avalon and Fillmore and you could hear 2 or 3 bands for $5. A lot of their music was in reaction to the war in Viet Nam (CCR has a lot of those and they're iconic). Lots of trippy drug songs as well. No judgement. That's how it was.It was amazing!

I promise you won't be disappointed, and will hopefully become Angelina fans and start reacting some of her over 150 covers. Love you guys. Happy Holiday's and stay safe.

Although this band hailed from California, I believe, their sound became known as “swamp rock”...referencing the Bayous of Louisiana......one of their early hits was called “Down on the Bayou” and it just stuck. If you are not familiar with bayous or that part of America, you should google it. It’s a very unique part of the country. I think of CCR as “Southern Rock” because of the style, but I get scolded for that because the band did not come from the South. I think where a band fits in genres should be determined by sound, not where the band comes from. But I’m usually overruled. ;-)

Live performances are how you want to listen to these bands as music was expression in those days way more so than most of today's music is IMHO. Guys, in the 60’s there was an E-X-P-L-O-S-I-O-N of neighborhood “garage bands” all across America (they practiced in the garage of one or more of their parents home - garage band). The Baby Boomers were a huge generation of young people that were anxious to break away from their parents generation of conformity, to create their own path of individualism and explore a new way of thinking and living in society - questioning everything. The bands were made up of friends that lived in the immediate neighborhood and friends in school. Very few bands were successful beyond playing school dances and backyard parties. CCR was one of them.

It's over 11 minutes long and is an excellent jam. I think it's the best version they did. Or check out the 1970 Oakland concert performance of "Keep on Chooglin'". Both are pretty easy to find on youtube. Three of them met in high school, and the 4th is an older brother, so they'd been playing together for about a decade before they hit it big.

Some 200 artists have covered this iconic Screamin' Jay Hawkins song from 1956. The CCR cover is great, one of my favorites, & I thank you for reacting to it. The other cover that I really like is by Nina Simone. Then I watched the black & white video released by the young Norwegian prodigy, Angelina Jordan, and it became my new favorite. She was nine years old when her cover came out, but she might have recorded it when she was eight, shortly after she won Norway's Got Talent. I would love to see you react to it. You will be astonished. Please don't let the "child singer" thing put you off. She is no ordinary child. Her real name is Angelina Jordan Astar, and she really is A Star. Jordan is her middle name. Her fans are many, & fiercely loyal. If you react to anything by her, they will find you, subscribe, give you playlists and tell you all about her, including why she always performs barefoot. She is fluent in at least three languages, Norwegian, Persian/Iranian, and English, and probably has some Swedish and Japanese. She will be 15 in January. John Fogerty is playing the guitar on this too. Amazing talent. Fogerty is the Tom Jones of rock.

Ok u have 2 hear Anjelica Jordan’s version of “I put a spell on you”. She was 10 yrs old when she sang it. It is every bit as good as this version. Esp as she is only 10. Just INSANE. It’s A MUST. SERIOUSLY
Try listening to her when she completed in Norway’s Got Talent when she was JUST 7 yrs old. No one at that age shud b able 2 sing like that. She sang BANG BANG. SUMMERTIME. GLOOMY SUNDAY U will not b disappointed.
Also listen to her version of STAY. BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY. YELLOW BRICK ROAD. think she is 14. For such a young artist I can’t wait 2 hear her as she ages
All the vocal coaches that have heard her r just dumbstruck. They have NO WORDS as she is so young.
I know eng isn’t ur 1st language so I hope u can read English. Lol. Ur eng is pretty good btw.

"Yuve yuve yu" and "The wolf Totem" by The HU Band
"Rechenka", "Derniere danse", "Havana" and "Wicked Games" by Diana Ankudinova
"Man of constand Sorrows" by Home Free
    "SOS" by Dimash Kudaibergen

For a mindblowing video with some cool, Texas blues vibes, watch & react to Johhny & Edgar Winter's "Tobacco Road"! Amazing, multitalented, albino sons of a preacher from Texas! Their story is super interesting & I can't imagine how much prejudice they must've dealt with! Peace! 🔥🤘

You need to hear 9 year old Norwegian singer Angelina Jordan do I Put a Spell on You. She nails this song and it's so amazing what comes out of that child's mouth. The black and white studio version is the best. I think her version is the best ever and at 9 she arranged it herself. It will blow your mind.

You should research the band. Actually they were not on the same page. There was a lot of strife and dissension throughout their short career as a band and the only member to "live on" in the music world was John Fogerty, the singer and lead guitarist. He also plays about 50 other instruments and has toured a lot in the last couple of decades with completely different band members and still managed to sound exactly like he did when I was 13 years old in '69, listening to the music you're sampling now. Matter of fact he recorded an album on which he was the only performer playing every instrument himself. He truly is the heart and soul of CCR. Google it, no kidding!
