      Randy Woodworth There are many exotic snakes dumped in the everglades. Those that supply poisonous snakes could easily dump any number of hard to sell snakes. Collectors once tiring of feeding and dealing with a viper of the most dangerous sort would also dump their pet. Considering people for what ever reason want to collect snakes known to be the most deadly in the world are probably not the brightest and are a bit unreliable and irresponsible. I personally would rather avoid the Everglades than bump into an Australian Brown or South American Bushmaster.

      Randy - It definitely is a mentality of not thinking things through!
      Like some who want cuddly babies, until they realize that they are eating, pooping and crying factories. Now we have laws that instead of putting babies in dumpsters, that you can turn them into firestations and hospitals surrendering parental rights.
      The gov't should let people drop them off to a wildlife officer at no charge, some would do it, then we wouldn't have hire experts from 1/2 around the world.

      @Random guy from Belgium
      Actually you better worry always about small snakes (except maybe for anacondas and the odd very big pythons) because most of the venomous/deadly ones are on the small side.
      Cleopatra died from the bite of an asp-about 12 inches long...vipers...are usually between 15 and 30 inches...rattlers and copperheads 2 feet plus...
      Of course cobras...mambas...etc.. are much bigger but not this common...!
      If you are from Belgium you won't have any problem with snakes....
      Bien sur vous pourriez rencontrer des couleuvres qui ne sont pas dangereuses, sauf pour le coeur des craintifs..lol
      Here in North America we have many areas (even near human activities) where rattlers....water mocassins...copperheads are common and plentiful..

    I'm from India and I've seen many such snake catchers. We had to call one to our home when a Russell's Viper had entered the compound. He caught it easily. He apparently let's them loose in the wild.
