    Bought a Q5 Premium Plus 45 S-Line with the warm weather package three days ago. The Navigation system is great love the display options (Live in Hawaii) My Wife loves her new car. Dig how the rings light up the ground when the driver and passenger door is opened, the glowing rings on the front grill are a nice touch.

  • @Mo-Optics

    The black optic package is a must and completes the look of the car. I'm not a big fan of the design of the interior center console area but it's still functional and the quality of the materials are nice. A tablet display does not make it a show stopper for us...its intuitive enough and the drive is superb for its size.

    Oddly all the comments that complain about this car are supported with clearly inferior cars - just drive them for the proof. Anyone would take this Q5 model for its engine and transmission technology, Quattro system, interior driving comfort, ergonomics of all controls, and most solid and lasting quality and comfort.

    I have a 2021 q5 prestige and just got a 23’ loaner. I think they did some transmission tuning as the 23 feels snappier to respond, especially in dynamic. This is definitely the most well rounded suv in the segment.

    Just finished watching your RDX A-Spec review and since I'm torn between the RDX and Q5, I thought I'd check this out!
    Audi includes many Standard items that are "add-on's" for other makers. HOWEVER, they also have their "parts shortage" disclaimer which means that some of the great features listed as Standard (i.e.: heated/cooled cup holders & wireless charging, tilt/telescopic steering wheel) may not be available and yet. I don't want credits, I want whats listed!🤐 Acura doesn't seem to be having any issues with this.
    Compared to the other models in this class that I've looked at..the interior looks hard and plastic. Please tell me I'm wrong and that it's really comfortable (anyone!!!) 🙏 Love the stitching in the seats and doors. I like the rear slide/tilt seats but don't like the huge hump. Makes it a 4 seater. Also appreciate the rear climate control but miss the heated/ventilated seat option. The 40/20/40 seat folding option would definitely come in handy! Would like to see an integrated infotainment center. Love your "coupon cubby"!
    Caught 'spy pix' of the 2024 Q5 and it it appears a center console change is coming. From what I can tell, it looks very similar to the '24 Atlas Sport. If that's the case, bye-bye shifter and hello switches! Two very different models. The RDX is so sporty while the Q5 is rather classic and conservative (interiors). But is it also comfortable?! At this point, I may as well wait to see what 2024 brings! Thank you for another very helpful review!

    Whoever is designing the fake exhausts and there are a lot of manufacturers who do this, I’d like to 🥊 them. It’s obvious they don’t read comments on all the car videos because I’ve never read where someone said they liked the fake exhaust. What group of designers got together and thought, “I like the fake exhaust let’s do that“

    • @isimonsez
      @isimonsez 2 года назад

      as someone who owns 3 vehicles w chrome tipped exhausts, I clean and polish them regularly. It doesn’t take much effort. Fake looks cheap and offers 0 aesthetic value…one glance and all you see is black plastic 2in deep. The simple fix to appease lazy drivers who don’t wanna clean chrome tips or lazy designers would be a steel exhaust pipe hidden under the car. Many have that and that looks far better than fake

    Excellent review. Just bought this exact same vehicle, 2023 Q5 Premium Plus lack Optic package. We're on Audi number 5, we currently own 3 Audi SUVs, this 2023 Q5, a SQ5 and a 2020 Q7. Our new 2023 Q5 Black with the Optic Package is a bit of a Unicorn though, it has the Audi rings and Q5 badging blacked out and it has the warm weather package with the ventilated front seats which are also wider seats with "seat wings" that hold you in the seat better than the puffier standard leather seats. Just took is on a short 120 mile trip and though it's not a SQ5, the 45 standard power train is plenty powerful for accelerating lane changes and it does a have a slight "growl" when you hit gas, should be pleasing to those who don't need a SQ5 but want some pep.

    • @CarConfections
      @CarConfections  2 года назад +11

      Your confusion is understandable since it is kind of convoluted. But, the thing is, mild hybrids don't count as actual hybrids because they cannot ever run exclusively on electric power. So both the TFSI 40 and 45 are regular 4-cylinders but they have 48v batteries to help the engine start and stop more aggressively/smoothly. Hope this helps clear things up.

      Hi Enrique, thanks for your quote/heads up about mess after 120k miles. I still drive (and love) my 11 years old Q5 Quattro reaching about 80k this week. So far engine has been solid. Happy with Q5 built quality, driving pleasure and smoothness. Miss fire was happend once in 40k miles but the technician fixed the things easily. Other than that - what I consider major replacements - were air mass flow (AMF) sensor and AC fan assy. Just last week I replaced noisy front wheel bearings. All in all, annual maintenance cost is @avg of $900 ($10k in total). Would you please be more specific about your experience with Q5 beyond 120k issues ? Thanks in advance.

      @@ssudarso Lots of things to be aware of: Timing belts at suggested mileage 70k-80k. My Audi has experienced oil leaks: oil housing, valve cover, oil pan (before 150k). Typical stuff: water pump, spark plug/wires/, alignments, battery, etc, After 140k: Fuel: PCV Valve, MAF sensor, Oxygen sensor, throttle cleaning, rear fuel pump, front high pressure pump with cam follower. Surprises: motor mounts, new shocks. The new one for me now at 163,000 is lower turbo hose making car smoke and a lot of fuel consumption. Fuel injectors seem good. Turbo seems good but probably going bad too. Because of all these issues I'm sure they are damaging my muffler and catalytic converter. Also experiencing lack of alerts so relays or some sensors might be bad. Have experienced limp mode and other 4WD issues. My car is clean and maintained well but has had all these issues I haven't seen in my family's Toyotas at this mileage. I would say do not keep Audi's past 130k as all the issues will come at you at once. And at 135k it's still running well enough to transfer to another owner willing to take on those repairs. I don't drive crazy so I haven't had issues with wheel bearings but on my Jetta one wheel came off on the freeway. (80K mileage).

    this is a crossover you don't want to drive in Canada because of extreme winter conditions. I absolutely hate my 2019 Q5 quattro system. The quattro system fails every time when driving on snow and ice. So I drive it in off-road mode during winter and comfort mode in Summer. These cars are never meant for Canadian road conditions. I'll never buy an Audi again. It isn't a premium car anymore. I wish they go back to the Torsen differential and ditch Haldex. Stay away from quattro system, Canadians. It's not a full time AWD car anymore.
