Its been 5 years since he died..but i still miss his warmth, love, care and affection. His smile..his words..i miss him sooo much. My brother was not eligible to write his central board exams because he was short of the age limit by one day..all our request to consider the fact he will lose 1 years of his education fell on deaf ears. As a final resort my mother contacted Mr. Abdul kalam when he was the president. To our surprise he called us the next day..heard what we had to say..assured us of his help and directed the exam board to let my brother write the exam. Today my brother has completed his MBA and is working with a very good salary package. This would not have happened without the help of Abdul kalam. When people ignore simple people and thousands of requests in an already jam packed schedule as the president of the country..taking the time and helping ordinary people sets him apart from rest of the people in power..he had a golden heart..he was truly the peoples president and everybody loved him..and still miss him. May his soul RIP.

I still remember that day i was in 12th and when i reached at school, PT teacher informed us that Tests are postponed bcoz of former president death. As always holidays are for fun or complete unfinished tasks but this time it was not same as i didn't like that holiday. Miss this legend person..❤️
When Dr.APJ Kalam was working in Hyderabad, he asked his driver a school dropout how he was spending his time after dropping him in office. He then coerced him to pursue studies and later on he did his Doctorate in Sociology and now working as Assistant professor in Government college in TN.

I was lucky to meet him twice when he came to 2 different colleges I was studying in. First time in 2008 I was one of 10 students asked to write an essay to gift him on the stage. I was so enthusiastic that I went to his official website and used many sentences and topics from there. Although he didn't read it on the stage I have always wondered what he must have thought about a student copying stuff from his own website. Second time I just missed a chance to click a selfie with him in 2012. So that's the story. Thanks Jaby. I have been following this channel from a long time.

APJ Abdul Kalam visited my city when I was a school kid. Me and couple of friends waited for 4hrs outside the ground just to hear his speech. Around 100000 people were packed inside the ground and we couldn't get in. His speech was inspirational as always. Sad that he passed away way before his time. World will miss gentle, intelligent soul like him.

Kalam Sir was President Of India, not PM. He worked with two PMs i.e. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Dr. Manmohan Singh.
At different period of time ..one after another pm term ..just in case if you get confused.
And also, In india Presidents are only nominal head of state just like queen in england.. it is PM who is the real head of state.. Presidents most of the time do what party in power suggests him to do.. They attend convocations, and other functions and deliver speeches. Although his residence is the most noticeable structure in the raisina hill region in new delhi where whole of the govt machinery is placed

In terms of signing bills, military operations, emergency powers, ordinances and mercy powers etc., the president has his oen discretion

Man those were some golden days. I remember him. I use to wait to eatch him on a small crt TV. He was like a god to me. I was so much in love with mr kalam he inspired me to become an engineer. I have masters degree now but i dont see that kind of atmosphere anymore. When he was alive i felt like i can do phd and change india. Anyway he will be forever be in my heart.
Dr Kalam was such a gem of a person. Privileged to see the legend in person during my college days. Was just a jovial and charismatic person. People would never forget him in their lives due to his humility and dedication of his work for the country

This Video has barely touched a bit of Dr Kalam sirs life and his greatness.. A pure gem , guide , mentor , leader , Teacher , one of the kind of people ...
My maternal uncle was working under Dr. Kalam when he was alive. When he came to Chandigarh, I barely missed meeting him in person, but my uncle brought some gifts given by him to me. It included a diary, a pen and a book of quotes collected by Dr. Kalam himself. I only kept the book of quotes and gave the rest to my uncle. I still have it to this day.
When we used to go live at my uncle's house in the defense area at Hyderabad, we used to meet him on morning and evening walks just casually walking by. He was the most humble person. No one could say this is the president of India on his morning walk.
I wanted to be aeronautical engineer and was all set to do that under the guidance of Dr. Kalam but life had other plans.
He is my true inspiration.
