Narayanan who was known as activist president and he worked very effectively in strengthening indian democracy. I agree that many times presidents. My personal favourite president is mr. K. R. Narayanan.

I had the rare opportunity of meeting him when he visited my school, absolutely humble, no political agenda, just absolute love for science and progress of humanity as a whole
He was once stopped and frisked by the airport security in the US after his tenure as the president. He didn't say a word and went through the whole ordeal. This became a diplomatic fiasco. All through this he was quiet. The security team was fired immediately and the US Government submitted an official apology.

I was in shock when my sister told me that her friend said that Sir Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is no more. I was like, "No, it can't be. He was fine. Nothing was wrong with him. Till yesterday there was no news about him being ill. How can he pass away so suddenly." But other than that I'm happy he didn't suffer. His death was instant. He might have felt pain for a second. He was a great person. God didn't want to give him suffer.
MS Dhoni is the name that comes to my mind who has done this. Failures in series and he owns up and success and he'll fade away in sideline just to give younger ones a feeling of facing the people during success
I have been very lucky to have met him! We had a small conversation in my native language, Tamil. I was in 6th or 7th grade at that time. Unfortunately, I don't remember the entire conversation, but the fact that blew my mind was when I told him that I had just started to play the Guitar, he said that he loved playing the 'Veena'. I was very sad on the day he passed away on July 2015. He died while giving a speech and inspiring young minds! That tells you about the dedication of this absolute legend!

He refused to sit on the chair and insisted that either replace the chair with the common chair like others chair or bring same chairs for others also. One more thing is that, you must have know about the President's House of the India. In his tenure as President he insisted to make a hut in the Garden. He himself spend his free time in that hut with one ordinary lantern. He used to spend his time there in reading and writing.
