    Heart palpations can be scary. I had issues a few years ago with my potassium dropping to dangerous levels. Which caused my palpation. I had to go on medication for both issues. A year later no medications and no issues anymore. Prayers you get answers and all the issues get better. Miss you on Facebook. 💖💖

      @@GayleRobinson hey Gayle :) thanks so much for checking out my video! Hahaha I’m farting all the time now but am scared it’ll be diarrhea coming out due to my ulcerative colitis LOL so it’s scary when I do fart! 😂. When did that gurgly sound go away in your throat after surgery? When were you able to eat normally without feeling like you’re going to barf every time you swallow? That’s been the worst part of recovery for me thus far! I’ll definitely keep in touch with you 😊

      It’s so hard for me to remember all those answers. I know I posted a bunch of videos explaining everything you’re asking. As for the gurgling well that still happens 🤣 I thought it was just me so I was excited when you mentioned it. Good news is no more GRED symptoms so I’ll take the weird gurgling 😄

    Question....I had a hysterectomy 3 weeks ago but have to have the Nissen Fundoplication in a few months. Which recovery, in your opinion was harder?

    • @GayleRobinson
      @GayleRobinson  2 года назад

      It's hard to remember but I would say Nissen because eating food afterwards is very hard.

  • @scottat6171

    Had the Nissen Feb 2019. Same issues as you, same spot. Had a scan done and it showed a lot of scar tissue at the surgery area and in the esophagus. I had 4 dilations to break up scar tissue to help with some swallowing issues. So now my surgeron is thinking he can go in and cut out the scar tissue to help this issue. Any up update on your Nissen?

    • @GayleRobinson
      @GayleRobinson  3 года назад

      What scan did you have? Right now they are thinking it’s Gallbladder because they see a stone so I have my first GI appt November 17th.

      @@scottat6171 okay thanks! I bet scar tissue is the answer! Thank you for sharing! How are you feeling now? Who did the dilation? I’m having a Cat Scan this Saturday for my kidneys I wonder if they will note any scar tissue... more then likely they won’t because it’s not a scan for that purpose (which to me is stupid) they should share EVERYTHING they see SMH 🤦🏻‍♀️

    • @scottat6171
      @scottat6171 3 года назад

      Dilations helped for about 2 weeks but then I guess everything tightens back up not as bad as it was the first year or so but still get food stuck and the pain in that area were they saw the scar tissue. Ask for a Abdominal CT Scan.

    I'm so happy your reflux is still gone! I had my operation at the beginning of march. Did you discover gas related problems afterwards? Everyday in the evening I get so bloated that I have severe pain and need to take meds. I feel like I'm going crazy, it affects my life very much.

      Hey Susan I just had The same surgery as well as my gallbladder removed and cutting of the pyloric muscle and I too have the same issue at night time! It’s as if someone’s given me a laxative! I wasn’t sure if it was my ulcerative colitis or what. Definitely a ton more gas now than before!

      @@suesunday4691 I had mine on April 15, so I am postop two weeks and one day today. I am curious too about this! I told the surgeon that my urine and my poop is orange, she said it could be an issue with malabsorption absorption of nutrients. I can’t wait to be fully recovered! I’m having the worst time with swallowing, feeling like food is stuck, nausea and sometimes trying to burp up what I just drank or ate. How’s your eating going Susan? At this point, are you able to eat anything you want?

    • @suesunday4691
      @suesunday4691 3 года назад

      @@ThatCarEnthuZiastBrittany I did not choose the Nissen-method, so I did not discover the typical problems with swallowing and the unability tu burp, so thats quite fine. I was on liquid diet for 6 weeks to avoid choking, but today I can eat everything I want. I can totally understand your current condition. I felt horrible for almost 6 weeks and then it suddendly got better day by day. You really need to take your time off and give your intestines the ability to heal. I was told the whole healing process can take up to one year. The surgeon also informed me about the gas bloat but I did not imagine it to be that horrible. I called him yesterday and got to know that it will probably last for 2-3 months until the digestive system works well again.

      @@ThatCarEnthuZiastBrittany What helps me the most is meds with Simethicone, I think in the USA it is called Alka-Seltzer Anti Gas. Take it before bedtime, it really helps and it doesn't have side effects at all.
