Akihiko Sanada I'd say Scheduling. The chick does voice over, and we all know that to get everyone who originally was in a game like this would be a miracle. So, you get who's available, cross your fingers they are not busy with other projects at that moment in time, and just run with it, and hope for the best. But I have to say, Laura Bailey as Rise was Lovable, and hot damn it get me in the feels when I heard some other voice for Rise, but I am kinda more okay with it seeing as I see these games as Canon or maybe it is Canon...I don't know. So long as if a Remake of Golden on PS4 become Platinum, then it should be no excuse to get every voice actor from Golden onto the Remake of the Remake since it's the Main series.

tanki motoko I don't think they've ever given us dual audio, as simple as that would be to implement because space isn't an issue when you have DLCs and expansible storage. If it was a licensing issue, then I wouldn't even mind forking over more money for the game for them to make it happen. Alas, given Atlas' track record, we're never going to see Japanese audio without importing the Japanese version from overseas.
The amount of saltiness over a single voice actor is amazing. It's not even worth getting angry about since it won't have an affect on the game at all unless the replacement has a voice of a yodelling Mongolian. It's not like anyone is buying the game just to listen to a voice actor. The main bulk of this game is in its music. You guys can cry a river all you want, but it won't change the fact that other people will actually have fun while you complain over something so trivial.

Omar Dajani no it just has idols and since rise is an idol and they wanted to showcase the music they brought her in as a muse as well as Kanami. If Rise was the main character how come she has only 2 songs playable like everyone else and Yu has 5 songs? Heck even Nanako has 3 songs. Plus Laura is busy, she is a CV for hire, its not her specific duty to put Rise voice over everything else. Plus its only 2 lines and people since people did the same thing with chie when her new voice actor came out they are whining just like before.

I honestly don't know if I'm going to pick this up now.... Sadly a lot of the more recent Persona 4 spin offs has seen a lot of the cast being replaced but this is going too far for me. Laura has been a part of the cast since the beginning, I don't know the reason behind her not being able to return but I'm legitimately upset. Not to mention Dancing All Night is highly Rise centric, I probably won't be getting it anymore.

To be honest, the more I see of this, the less excited I get. I mean a Persona dancing game sounds like a dumb idea on its own, but just looking and listening to this trailer I think this will probably be the "worst" Persona game or at the very least the Black Sheep of Persona.
I dunno. I hated Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth quite a bit. Considering I really like music-rhythm games, I can't imagine I'd like it any less than that game.

See that's the thing: Everything they shown on the japanese side I'm just like "huuuuuh? Umm...what?" But the english trailer made me interested in the story and knowing there's an actual story to this helps alot. That's honestly the main thing that keeps me interested, plus I do like the music XD

You won't be touching my heart, or anything else, with that voice Rise. Seriously though, Why Atlus wouldn't have tried working around Laura Bailey's schedule, when they've had her voice acting for them for years now, is ...well, I guess it's understandable. They should've tried doing it earlier, though, so as to work within schedules. Still, I think Chie's VA change worked out really well, as did Teddie's, definitely Kanji's, and Naoto's too, for the most part,(though I really miss the original). So I'll hold my judgments till I hear more of Rise's new VA
I REALLY hope they don't just make Nanako a straight out Kanamin fan girl in this, because in Rise's social link, she specifically said that she liked Rise better. And that made Rise SO happy. That would be such a character breaking moment for me :(
I was cool with Naoto's VA changing every game. I was cool with Kanji changing for the spin offs. I was especially cool with Chie changing after the original. But Rise? I'm cool.

TWGOKChannel, Rise's va, Laura Bailey couldn't make it. So I gave up on the English version.

That's different! LB has been a part of the cast since the first persona 4 related thing, persona 4 itself, came out in 2008.... Not like chie and naoto... And she always came back to voice her when anything else relating to persona 4 was gonna come out... And this game basically had rise as its MC... So it's gonna be very rise centric...
Omar Dajani no it just has idols and since rise is an idol and they wanted to showcase the music they brought her in as a muse as well as Kanami. If Rise was the main character how come she has only 2 songs playable like everyone else and Yu has 5 songs? Heck even Nanako has 3 songs. Plus Laura is busy, she is a CV for hire, its not her specific duty to put Rise voice over everything else. Plus its only 2 lines and people since people did the same thing with chie when her new voice actor came out they are whining just like before.

I can't stop thinking about my reaction back then...I thought this was stupid, then I saw the gameplay, now it and Personas 3 & 5 Dancing are one of my favorite Persona games.
It sucks Laura bailey isn't voice Rise. But i will get. Will get used to Rise new unknown voice actress. Not as good a laura. But really good voice.
It's sad that Laura isn't Rise... but it'll still be fun though... Naoto and Kanji dancing it's just too good to miss

I honestly don't know if I'm going to pick this up now.... Sadly a lot of the more recent Persona 4 spin offs has seen a lot of the cast being replaced but this is going too far for me. Laura has been a part of the cast since the beginning, I don't know the reason behind her not being able to return but I'm legitimately upset. Not to mention Dancing All Night is highly Rise centric, I probably won't be getting it anymore.
She was probably busy at the time of recording, she is a human being after all and not some robot. It is a bummer that she won't be voicing Rise, I was honestly looking forward to her voice acting the most for this game.

To be honest, the more I see of this, the less excited I get. I mean a Persona dancing game sounds like a dumb idea on its own, but just looking and listening to this trailer I think this will probably be the "worst" Persona game or at the very least the Black Sheep of Persona.

I dunno. I hated Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth quite a bit. Considering I really like music-rhythm games, I can't imagine I'd like it any less than that game.
I actually like the new Rise (from what we hear in the trailer). This is the spin-off I've been most excited about, and it looks awesome!

You do realize it's more than likely not Atlus' fault. She was probably busy around the time of recording and couldn't make it. She is a person just like you and I with a life outside of work, and probably even more job opportunities at the time.

I am legitimately baffled as to why anyone (let alone so many goddamn people) would be excited for this game. Does everybody actually WANT an idol simulator game with a P4 skin on it? Is that really what the fandom is hoping for out of this game?
See that's the thing: Everything they shown on the japanese side I'm just like "huuuuuh? Umm...what?" But the english trailer made me interested in the story and knowing there's an actual story to this helps alot.
That's honestly the main thing that keeps me interested, plus I do like the music XD

I've seen it's out there that Atlus may do a persona 3 dancing if this does well, but it would be so awsome if the p3 cast showed up here, Mass Destruction is probably the most perfect song for a game like this

Seriously though, Why Atlus wouldn't have tried working around Laura Bailey's schedule, when they've had her voice acting for them for years now, is ...well, I guess it's understandable. They should've tried doing it earlier, though, so as to work within schedules.
Still, I think Chie's VA change worked out really well, as did Teddie's, definitely Kanji's, and Naoto's too, for the most part,(though I really miss the original). So I'll hold my judgments till I hear more of Rise's new VA
I REALLY hope they don't just make Nanako a straight out Kanamin fan girl in this, because in Rise's social link, she specifically said that she liked Rise better. And that made Rise SO happy. That would be such a character breaking moment for me :(

I was cool with Naoto's VA changing every game. I was cool with Kanji changing for the spin offs. I was especially cool with Chie changing after the original. But Rise? I'm cool.
