They said in their live today that 'For Youth' is a song for everyone who has been there for them over the past decade, including the members, the fans, their friends and family, staff, etc. They basically said something like, "you know who you are" 💜

i genuinely don’t thinks there’s a group who loves their fans as much as bts does. for youth is such a beautiful song, from starting it with literal audio of the fans to the lyrics to everything. i can not emphasize enough how much these guys mean to me

Yet To Come feels like the equivalent of a vow renewal for a marriage to me. It’s a reassurance and promise for ARMY and for themselves. It’s beautiful.
Run BTS is ridiculous in all the best ways. It’s obviously a song made by them for them. They are revved and ready to go full out for their next chapter just as they were the last one. You can sense how much fun they had making it. I cannot wait to see it performed live.
For Youth is like a thank you note. It was mentioned during their Proof Live (ruclips.net/video/9sJ_I1lHpps/видео.html) that it’s for the members, their friends, family, staff, ARMY and basically everyone that helped them navigate their youth successfully. Love it.

ARMY actually stands for “Adorable Representative M.C For Youth”. So the song “for youth” (taking the last 2 words of ARMY) is for the fans and also for the members, their family, staff. Fun Fact: The start of the song is BTS and ARMY singing “Young Forever”. I’m not emotional 😭😭😭. You can actually hear “forever, we are young” looping through out the song in the back..
And Jungkook released a song for the fans called “My You” yesterday… chopping onions 🧅
And yes… I believe they put crack on Run BTS because I can’t stop listening to it. Jungkook and RM said they would release their demo/guide version of the Run BTS song, so be ready Michael 🤣

Its crazy how much i really needed someone to do reactions exactly the way you do. Really appreciating the beauty of lyricism, vocals and just the emotions and deeper meanings of songs. + you're an incredible human being. Such a big contrast to many reaction channels out there that often times feel just like easy cash grabs. (not to throw too much shadow at others its just sometimes very frustrating to watch)

Also, the translation for j-hope's Run BTS verse wasn't great (he's always so referential, translators miss stuff for him all the time) - a more accurate translation would be: "with blind faith, run all we can, that's how we do it all/that's how we proved it, seven marathon runners [film reference] with million dollar legs" and then the rest is close enough. He included the boys' names because, while he's expressed his gratitude to the members countless times over the years, sometimes even in song (like in Hangsang), he's never immortalized them in his lyrics and their music by name. So he wanted to do that here. Hope this helps shed a little clarity on his verse. )

BTS also stands for "bulletproof boy scouts" this is why the second song says "run bulletproof". Also the name of the album "Proof" goes along with that. Namjoon once said we are the proof of their existence, of their journey, of their hard work. We're their everything and this album represents that💜

And yes, Run BTS was abso-fucking-lutely made for driving fast, windows down, and volume up. It usually takes me 3-4 listens before I know if I like a song or not, but halfway into my first listen I was like, yep, this is going in the all time top five favorite BTS songs! 🫠💜

An Army explaned: in korean theres a saying that goes "on top of the running man is the flying man" meaning someone is better than you no matter how good you are .. so when Namjoon (RM) says this it is a pun but he´s also saying BTS is better than everyone lol. He´s right.

Oh no, you missed a new song! It's "Born Singer". They actually wrote/performed it way back in like 2014, but remastered it for studio release. Please listen to it if you haven't- it will blow you away, I know it! Deep and personal stories.
By the way, the lyric video for Run BTS had some of the wrong lyrics (not very surprising considering the people making those lyric videos always rush to upload them as fast as possible smh) and towards the last chorus, they sing "Run beautiful run" not "run bulletproof run" which I think is pretty important to mention.

I have seen this comment Somewhere so about that lyrics (14:59) there's a korean saying “Above someone running, there is someone flying” that means there is always someone who's better than you. in that lyrics bts say "there's a running man, there's a flying man, and above all of them runs Bangtan (BTS)"

not sure if you saw the news but yet to come definitely hits different knowing that the boys are preparing to focus on solo activities for the meantime in order to discover themselves as artists before coming back as bts stronger than before. namjoon says the group has been feeling burnt out, tired because its been 10 years and he feels like they've lost direction. while it definitely still hurts to see the boys cry in that video, real armys know its what bts wants and its what's best for them.

kkang soju is to drink the Korean alcohol drink soju, which is a spirit like vodka, without having any food with it - it means getting very drunk very quickly and I guess really dropping truth bombs 😬

Also I don't know if you checked the first song of this album, which is born singer. This song they've written based on J. Cole's born sinner, back in 2013 right after their debut. This song finally got the recognition and the place that it deserves. As the opening of their anthology album. Proof starts with the line "I'm a born singer" and ends it with "i'll be with you for the rest of my life"
I haven't seen anyone explain the running man and flying man thing in Run BTS yet so I will do that real quick because it is important to know for at least one more BTS song in the older albums. I am half doing this from memory and half quoting from Doolset where I heard it in the first place, so credit goes to them. 뛰는 놈 위에 나는 놈 있다 which translated means "above a running man is a flying man" is an idiom that means that no matter how good you are, there will always be someone who is better than you. I personally think this could either be a reference to that idiom and that even though everyone says BTS are the best they stay humble knowing there is someone better or the exact opposite that they are the flying man, therefore better than everyone else which would fit the vibe of the verse better. It could also be a reference to Cypher 2: Triptych which has the same line also said by RM. (Cypher 2 is on the album Skool luv affair so definitely keep that in mind when reacting to that album)
By the way I love how in depth you go and how genuinely invested you are. It is something that I don't see often with reactors especially for BTS and Kpop in general so big props to you. I hope when you have time you can also react to TXT who are under the same label as BTS (but do not expect the same sound) I would recommend their full length album "The chaos chapter: Freeze" released last year and their newest Minialbum "Minisode: Thursdays child has far to go" which deals with the five stages of grief (relating mostly to a break up) released just about a month ago.

About the title Proof: BTS stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan which literally translates to "Bulletproof boy scouts". During their latest concerts in LA, RM said "You guys are the proof of our existence, our value, our love, you guys are our GODDAMN PROOF! We’re the bullet and you guys are our proof. Together we are bulletproof"

I love all your reactions and I’m so looking forward to watching this one😁. From the video notes it looks like you didn’t review Born Singer which is the first song on the anthology. It’s a Jcole cover of Born Sinner and it’s special bc BTS remade this song to tell their story, their dreams, and what they went through. They came out with it (on soundcloud) a month after their debut in 2013 and whenever they performed it (like in 2017 wings tour) they updated RMs section of the song. So for it to finally be an official track is so cool. Also I hope you check out disc 3 bc it has two unreleased songs. ( young love, quotation mark) and a bunch of demos and some of the earlier versions of songs are soooo different like Jhope’s DNA, RM’s Young Forever, and Jin’s epiphany. 💜💜💜💜

4:48 me listening to this after knowing what chapter 2 is all about: 😅 as an army since 2015, although group activities (music-wise) is on a break but we're gonna get 7 different albums and 7 different concerts to look forward to. and i know when they comeback for chapter 3 as a group again (music-wise), it's gonna be LIT! to clarify why i put music-wise next to group is because bts would still be doing group stuff for other things like their commercials, run bts variety show etc (basically non-music related activities).

In RM's verse when he said "above the running man is a flying man and above the flying man is a Running BTS" that's actually like a korean Idiom that means there's always someone better than you and here, since RM puts BTS on top of both running and flying man, he was saying that BTS is above them and is the best of all, and it's not a reference to their older song or anything but he did use the same idiom too previously in Cypher Pt. 2.

Because you mentioned solo projects, j-hope just teased Hope World 2 again saying it would be "extremely dark & raw" which is WILD for him, not only because he typically (though not exclusively) tends toward brighter themes and sounds, but also because, while he's constantly sharing wisdom and gratitude and hope, he is quite private otherwise. We're anticipating it will come soon too because he is headlining a main stage at Lollapalooza end of July (making him the first Korean act to ever headline a main stage at a major US music festival) and his set is an hour long! His first solo project is just over 20 minutes long so we think new music is incoming FAST. I hope you'll check it out when it drops!!

So Yet to Come is a promise to more wonderful music together! Run BTS is the first track on disc 2 - all their personally chosen individual track/unit track songs. It is to hype everyone as they continue to run together and indivdually. For Youth is the final track on the album - it is a love letter to ARMY - the opening is the audience singing Forever Young to BTS at Wembley stadium back on the Love Yourself Tour. This track shows the beautiful relationship between ARMY and BTS. These tracks are all so special in their own ways!!
I am absolutely in love with these songs. They spoke, they delivered, they shared such beautiful things. I love going to your channel to hear and as you said, experience these songs with you. I think the line about 'walking, flying' those parts could come from "Not Today" and "You Never Walk Alone" that references the quote "If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward (Marthin Luther King)". And both those songs talk about moving forward, not stopping, and doing it together/with each other. :") all 3 are flooding with references.

It's crazy how they only released 3 new songs but all 3 are just so GOOD and addictive. Like am obsessed with all 3, just can't get enough of them. Each carries different vibe, different message, and all 3 combined makes a perfect story for an anthology. Also, these songs really showcased great vocals distribution & production. Each member shines, and shows each charm & character. If this is what we gonna get in the next chapter, oh my...am so ready! (Not!) XD
