Oh, I'm so stoked for this! I personally think LY: Her is quite overlooked since it's followed by one of their best, LY: Tear, but i think it holds itself pretty well as a marvelous pop record and it's a strong opener for the trilogy and it's themes. If the inital stages of falling in love were bottled, it'd sound exactly like this. Can't wait for Tear and Answer, you're my favorite reactor in the game right now!
Pied Piper is a very interesting song. Ofcourse its laced with double entendres. Its most surface meaning is its almost a cute little tough-love reminder to us (armys) to make sure we dont use them as excuses to neglect important things (work, school) haha they always want to make sure they are a positive influence on us, and not a negative one. So its kinda like a toughlove reminder.
I also read that male calico cats are very rare so I think Jimin referring to himself as a calico cat further underscores the uniqueness of the relationship in this song as well as the idea of being fated for this person.
Not me just now realizing they really had choreo for every song on this album except the outro and that was because it was pure bars. BTS really put in WORK
Go Go is actually a really deep and kind of depressing song about the hopeless financial situation the younger generation are in to the extent that they've essentially given up trying to invest in their own futures.
I wanted to comment a bit on Go Go. I know from your reaction that you didn't really get much from the lyrics because they seem very typical? shallow? I was like that too when I first read the lyrics! It surprised me because it seemed un-BTS like in terms of lyricism BUT when they had the press conference for this album, they shared the true meaning behind this song which IS very BTS lol. Every album they have what they call a "socially conscious" song where they give commentary on something they have observed or felt strongly about. They explained that GoGo was that for Love Yourself: Her; its a very sarcastic take on the mindset youth have on the value of money. All we want to do is squander our money when we have it and to party, all while excusing our behavior by saying that we only live once. Since learning that, Go Go has been one of my favorite songs from them!

This trilogy is very progressive
you will get introduced to rapper jungkook as you dive into earlier albums especially... he used to rap much more after they debuted, and he is very, very good at it. has rapped less these days, but, he is the main vocalist after all so he's focused on that. "rapper jungkook" is a legend among armys, we root for his comeback all the time.
To understand mic drop, one thing that you have to keep in mind is that BTS is an outlier even in their own society, in their own music industry they are an outlier.
Love Yourself: TEAR is perhaps the best of all their albums. Don't miss it.
ahh the calico cat line means that he's very unique! male calico cats are very very very rare due to the fact that the tricolor they're known for only really appears in xx chromosomes so a very small percentage of male cats will have the pattern!
The “Love Yourself” series is a trilogy. The theme of album “Her” describes the beginning of every happy relationship, hence the overall upbeat tone of the whole album, but the next album will get darker.
