I think a template would help out a lot. I installed mine and the left side of the tailgate isn’t flush anymore with the taillight. 😅Probably less than half an inch. I’m guessing I didn’t drill the hole properly. And also mine drops kinda fast like in 2 seconds compared to yours. Nice video though bro 🤙🏽

Yea I have heard this before but I do know I have the old style 1 that’s larger in size and they now have a slim version which I haven’t had a chance to buy since they are up in price….. thanks for the comment
Been wanting to buy this for my truck . I thought these came with two shocks for both sides. Wonder if u can put two of them on a tailgate or if that’s even necessary.

Hello brother, I watched your video..pretty cool amazing stuff, so I had to go order me one..weeks later it had arrived and I installed it just like in your video and instructions..but for some reason when I open t drop the tailgate..it doesn't drop slow like in your video..Mines drops in 1-2 sec and yours drops 4-5 seconds ..would it be that the one they had sent me was defective..should I return it for añother one
Hey bro first thank you for watching my video and to answer your question I now know that LS fab offers a new gen 2 strut which is smaller and slimmer the 1 I installed is the old big first gen …. Do you know which one you have ?
That's what I was noticing..that the one I ordered came out to be a slinky one (slim)..I thought I had ordered the right one like the one of your video, but I guess I didn't or didn't know the difference..When I looked again they had one for a GMC model..Mines a c1500 Silverado..iwanted the stubby one..How do I order the one you ordered..do you have the link on your page
The one I ordered was the one in your linked..Tailgate saver shock (strut) - 88 98 GMC Chevy Truck for price $64.99..And the Gen 2 is the slim one that is 15.3mm ..But I aslo noticed they both have the same Dimensions 25×15×6cm ..Do you think they confused me with the Gen 2 one.The Gen 1 bigger one is 18.3mm

How about the model for 1999-2007 they can install on 1989
I think that 1 is different might be bigger and a different mounting hardware I’m not sure
