Am Speechless✨. This is Dr. Otto Kernberg, not the theory we read in big fat books on Object Relations.

This is a great lecture. Somehow it reminds me of the scene in The Witches where the head witch is giving out instructions on the new plan to get rid of the children.

Lots of well-articulated points. Lots of speculation on the part of the parents, also. See that a lot in these conferences and presentations associating abuse and neglect with disorders

Yeah, that really rarely the case in mild cases

Parents failed these folk. They did not interact with their offspring in a healthy way. Bits of character then split off, independently of relating to a loved parent. Bad news.

1% antisocial PD is way too low. 1% would be psychopaths, APD are several percent.

Unfortunately the reception from the audience betrays their nescience of psychoanalytic thought, and thus the level of the discussion is necessarily very rudimental.

It is my understanding that in nordic countries it is not common or socially acceptable to ask questions while the teacher/presenter is speaking. Questions are asked individually by students in private after the lecture. Very different from what is expected in anglo-saxon cultures.
Just learned that on another video on the same topic.
