@MrWarLore you have to get clique to go with it. they're meant to be used together. you can figure clique by going to your spell book and another tab will be there. you click the tab and then click your spells with whatever click you want to assign it. so if you shift click on healing wave, you can then shift click on grid and it will cast healing wave.
@MrWeirdGuy That's a great way to put it to be honest. There is really only 2 big mechanics but they are VERY unforgiving. Once you master them the fight is a wash.
decimation does the LOWER between 250k and 90% of the targets health, when my guild downed him i MT'd and ended up with ~1mil health the healers hardly noticed when i accidentally took one, also note it can be dodged/parried/blocked so we had a prot warr decimation blade (10m)
@Rogueixpresents the hots are just a totally different way of healing. they do however are a bit weak in flash healing. unlike shamans who are flashhealers(healing the instant a enemy has low life).
@CrossSanni if you see by his/partys health bar you can see a big box with lots of small boxes. This is an addon he probably use to do it. I'm not sure if it's the one I have used, but then you only use your mouse and click on the ones that have low health! its genious :)
@norvelled I agree with you, I might have mistaken what you said for making fights easier and I apologize. I just noticed that wow have become more about getting gear than actually enjoying the game. It's more about the rewards and not about having fun anymore. It just very irritating to see people who just want the gear, but not willing to work for it.
Jesse, Isn't it better for Alysrazor to split the fight into two? Making the part where you can fly a different episode from the "normal part" of the fight? Just a thought.
This boss just seems like a huge pain in the ass. With all of the mechanic fights seen in the Firelands raids though, are there any that are just straight up gear checks? Or do they all have some kind of gimmick to them?
@Dyetru3 Yes, and they probably have some Heroic Tier 11 gear. My guild, that has cleared Tier 11 normal, attempted this boss, and our healers were having some mana problems.
@Rogueixpresents maybe it haas something to do with that shammy's are a bit weak atm compared to priest and paladins. our mainheals just heal a lot less in comparison. Maybe that has something to do with our mastery Deep healing(as you know people with less health get stronger heals from us) so maybe blizz wants us to flasheal. but as far as mana i never have any problems. Core of ripeness is awesome for more spirit.
@gheith001 Its a nickname for creatures in J.R.R Tolkien universe that are fallen Maiar. You see one in the first LOTR movie during the Moria sequence.
Our 10 man group had all 5 dps rotation between crystals taking 8-10 stacks each but idk if this fight is abit bugged or not cause the stacks didn't seem to go up evenly and we managed to kill him 3 seconds before enrage time despite the fact 3 of us were doing 22k constant dps with 30k+ at the start with cd's and the other 2 dps doing 16-19k
@Rogueixpresents I like shaman healing in raids. with groups it's a bit more annoying because of the lack of good aoe heals. Healing rain is great but not when people are everywhere;p. But i have a friend who is a druid healer. And druid healing is awesome;p they are really great in groups;p. With wild growth tranguility and swiftmend+efflorensce. that and the tree dances awesomexd
First Time i saw this boss, it reminded me of Reboot. The "user" that "kills" Enzo and starts the whole Grown-up Enzo series, going into the web and all... man I'm old :/
Your Guides are good, but the problem is when people dunno anything about the tacs and just getting us wiped. And then all leave where i have too wait to next wednesday to get in again.

SERIOUSLY love the 8bit intros, even if the rest was crap (which it's not), i'd watch the whole thing for the intro.

Jesse, The thing about Decimation blade is that you CAN parry / dodge it. Thats what our tanks have done some times.

Heal with greater healing wave (high mana cost ability) when the boss is really low... you are not likely to run out of mana anyways when he is low

From this video, Baleroc seems like the most Patchwerk-like fight in Firelands.

We actually found it easier to solo tank it in 10 man so there was less confusion on who to heal once healers came off shards plus it's more dps. :D

Just thought i would tell you that u can dodge Decimation blades.. Happens all the time in our raid and we even time tank trinkets to abuse it.
