    Use only Mig welding for automotive and nothing else.

    In a weird way it's actually good to see someone else who has a shitload of rust to fix on their s13 haha

    • @Drifttheorygarage

      At the end of the day it has to be done to save the chassis. hopefully people can learn from this and fix their own rusty s13s themselves

      They rusted from the factory
      Just like my s14a

      @@Drifttheorygarage Found out welding on a bench with clean metal and good lighting can be pretty enjoyable. Unfortunately all the welding I do is oddly shaped patches on crusty thin metal under floorboards.

    You guys should have cut the whole Rocker panel out, and just did the 45° to 45° the whole way across. Add triangle supports inside the channel for support. Then primed and painted. I think it would have looked good, less work, and if you wanted to put skirts over the time so be it.

    • @Drifttheorygarage
      @Drifttheorygarage  Год назад

      So be it but if I blow off a side skirt you can’t even tell there’s been a repair. Gotta go the distance sometimes my guy. Wasn’t really that bad to take care of.

    • @Drifttheorygarage
      @Drifttheorygarage  3 года назад

      Yeah blows my mind. For the week it took them they could have done it properly like we did..

      @@Drifttheorygarage damn I ain't even mad! $110 for that is cheap as hell! Have a car I'm trying to keep permanently but the fender rust and the quotes I'm getting to fix them is almost 4 times the value of the car....thanks to labour charges

      It’s best to do a little bit of research on how to make things with metal and then just jump into it man. This job probably is three to $4000 at a body shop. Got to hang out with my buddy for a week and fix it knowing that it was done properly

      Terrible? I can’t even tell it’s been fixed! I think we did one hell of a job for some sheet metal and the tools we had. Lots better than the spray foam that we pulled out. I’ll show the repair next video. Just for you. Your crazy.
