  • In this video I show you my process in restoring rust on my 1990 240sx. The floor pan and rocker were falling out of the car and it was time to do something about it.
First I needed to strip the interior to get a good idea on what I needed to do next.
Next I cut out all the rust that needed to go before it spread any further.
Then I started creating panels by hand and bending them to shape to fit almost perfectly. Self tapped them in to hold them in place for welding.
Lastly I weld up all the panels and take out the self tappers to spot weld all the panels for a factory look (as best as I could) and then grinded up all the welds to make sure there were no holes. Seam sealed them afterwards and put some high heat resistance paint over all of it.
I hope you all enjoy and learn something out of this process. Nothing is impossible to fix it just takes the time and dedication to get it done.
I am no professional by any means so please don’t do what I do. I am not responsible for what you do for your vehicle. So please do things at your own risk and be safe about it.
Thank you all that have been watching my videos it means a lot for the channel and in hopes I can inspire you not to be discouraged to do anything.

Even in the rain, nothin stops you from your work and I love it! Not many have the dedication to work through projects like these, and let alone document it along the way.
From the Pearl to the Black Pearl to here; you’re one step closer to creating something beautiful and unique. Keep it up Jesse ❤

@@RaceStop laughing at you slinging boogers at this rotbox. I'm amazed you handle the seam sealer almost as bad as the welder

How does a person practice without picking up the tool? What they should do though, is get some mentoring and keep practicing using proper techniques.

@@firelizard2 Yeah well he should have taken more time to do that. It was a quick job. Most likely what a bodyshop would do.
