- My 2009 3500HD with 6.6L Duramax engine suddenly threw a P0674 code.
P067x is a glow plug code. The last digit (1 through 8) represents the cylinder number with the failed glow plug.
I bought this truck new in 2009. I never drive it in the winter, so it never gets exposed to harsh road chemicals such as road salt and deicer, therefore nothing was corroded in the engine bay. It was a very easy task to replace the glow plug.
If the glow plugs or the nut and stud that attaches the wire are corroded, it’s very likely the stud will snap off, or the glow plug body will snap. If the glow plug snaps off, it’s a very tedious task of extracting it from the engine.

What’s the different in the gs? Like 9g and 6g etc glow plugs?
I don't understand the question. I don't know the term "gs", "9g" nor "6g"
