Very informative tutorial. the M278 benz engine has been noted for turbo waste gate linkage issues. I wish you would have given a hypothetical of what we would expect to see if this had been the issue.

Hi! I’ve been having this problem with my Mercedes for years and all the mechanics I’ve taken it to seem to not know how to fix it! How do I explain this to them?
I am a mobile mechanic. Sitting in my van at customer job. Scanned engine and found system has P0299 fault. To fix anything you must first know how it works. The data from pausing this video and then printing screen shots is great. I will go and research then return. Return a wiser man. Still as sexy though.
The engine has been on turbo underboost m271 2013. Yhe actuator is not moving, hence waste gate doesn’t open. Couldn’t locate the fault for 3 months now
You mean the wastegate doesn't close? Check for vacuum which comes from a vacuum pump. The vac pump has a little check valve for the turbo that tends to fail, so replace check valve. The vac lines often crack/break, or maybe fall off. Be sure the turbo solenoid is getting said vacuum, and the lines between the solenoid and turbos are good as well. The solenoid controls boost by how much vacuum it feeds the turbos. No vacuum getting the turbo, no boost.
I have an 2005 E200 k and i already took it into 2 mechanics for battery issues, which im yet to be convinced are fixed yet Very same day, i just got a CEL with O2 sensor code as well as turbo code and it went into limp mode soon after , less than 200 km after leaving mercedes. I was able to reset these with my code reader but i didint write down exact code numbers. How does my supercharged engine get a TURBO code fault? the mercedes mechanic had just looked at my car and said there were no serious CEL codes but he figured some vibration or groaning under throttle was either a bad supercharger or motoro mount, I paid $425 plus two bus tickets $80, mercedes had my car for an entire week, couldnt find any codes nor do i think they fixed anything and i get serious codes and limp mode 4 hrs/ 200 km later? what do you think?
@@hassana22 my exhaust got blocked because of the thieve that stole my catalytic converter and put in mesh. Generated all kinds of crazy stuffs. Now car is firing like crazy. All good. But nearly change engine

For two months I couldn’t resolve this on my c250. Please can you help with ideas
