speech pathologist here, have had to prescribe it for many patients, and can confirm it's pretty awful. :( I joked it made one lady who had not spoken since a stroke start talking again, just to ask for anything other than that. lol. Bless your granny!

Thick-It is possibly the one thing that could make anything (Malort) taste worse. You don't get to take it quick like a shot. You have to swallow it and that takes extra seconds for the taste to linger.
