Thanks for this review, I'm currently using an iphone SE 2nd gen 2020 but the battery is very ailing, am down to picking between the A54 5g 6gb ram version or 6gb ram Moto G Stylus 2023 5g. Many say any lags the A54 had at launch have been fixed in updates and the One UI 6.0 update helped even more. I'm not very picky in my mid 30s now, just want something that won't lag out doing normal stuff like social media, youtube, browsing online, I only take the occasional cat pic these days and mostly text/IM and do the occasional call. I've found both the A54 5g and Moto G Stylus 5g really cheap well under $200 for either. The A54's screen and cameras seem absolutely beautiful I'm just a bit wary since some people claimed it's too laggy but others say updates have fixed the lag issues? Are the lag issues just overblown online? From scattered comments on YT and forumsI found that some swear by, apparently setting the battery to unrestricted in the One UI app helps a ton, newer updates have apparently helped, turning off offline bluetooth and wifi scanning, turn off 5g if you don't have it where you live, Deep sleep all the apps that you don't open daily and turn off those app notifications too, and enable Ram Plus at 4gb
Thanks for watching. I haven't used the Moto G Stylus but what I can tell you from my experience with the A54 is that you don't have to make any of the changes you mentioned in settings and the phone offers a pleasant experience free of lag out of the box in most day to day tasks. You will notice some stutter here and there but the processor is leagues ahead of the one in the A53 (the model before the A54). The camera is quite good, the battery life is good, as well. So go ahead and buy the A54. Cheers!
The exynos processor is weird. It can lag during random times and it often doesn't lag when you'd expect it to. Luckily the lag is pretty rare so it's not that big of a deal. Kind of wish I would have went with the A34 instead of the A54 though.
My phone was on unrestricted by default. So the behavior cannot change. I find that the worst moment for the phone is when you wake it up after a longer period of time. Probably Samsung is trying to lower the standby power consumption also very criticised for Exynos and puts the phone into deep sleep.
They did not. The first figure is from ANTUTU version 9 and the second from version 10. Version 10 raised the scores a bit to accommodate more phone models and be able to differentiate between them.
The A55 definitely needs to up the storage and ram for the US. Being stuck at 128/6 GB since the A51 is criminal when the rest of the world gets double the storage and 8 GB of ram. I have liked the A54 but if I didn't get some good trade in deals for it I would have ignored it. I do love the design of the phone and my only gripe is the glass build. The A52 did this style of phone the best. Plastic build with water resistance and a headphone jack/SD card slot was near perfection. The A54 is fine but that's all it is. Hopefully the upcoming A55 improves upon the storage amount and ram. The US desperately needs it.
Ironically enough im watching it on this same phone different color though but for some reason I can't call or text at all i have the esim card in it though
The phone is just fine. Today went to three stores and looked and handled Samsung A25,A34,A54 as Motorola G73 and G84 (Edge 40 Neo was online available but not in store 🤠). The Samsungs all had a no nonsense upgrades at a minimum of four more years (A25 even five). The Motos were all updated (did so myself) to Android 13 😂. Bought the 8/128 A54. For photo and video a higher end model has things to offer (better tones as RAW for editing). But the A54 is a solid package for me. Slightly more luxury feel cmpared to the A25,34 but the difference was €50...and A54 it was 😊
@@mytechchannel123 Somthing just popped up in my head... Is there a relation to 25 watts charging and 5 year updates? Ergo: slow charging sustains battery performance for longer? I do not mean the 85% setting.
Could be. Limiting the charging intake will theoretically prolong the battery life. However, since no charger is included in the box, the consumer can use any charger and cable he has around. For example, I have a 20 W charger from Baseus that works fine but it also depends on the cable. If I use the USB A to USB C, the phones are cool to touch and when I use a double USB C cable, the phones get crazy hot. So it is out of Samsung's hands. Or other vendor that do not put a charger in the box for that matter. But they will be happy to sell you a new battery. The 5 years and 7 years recently offered for the S24 series are just to get an upper hand over the Chinese brands. Because I doubt anyone will keep his phone for 7 years. But still, you have a peace of mind that you do not with 2 years of OS updates and 3 of security updates.
the new update of software ui 6.0 is bad. it ruined the camera quality of my phone. it is more on saturated/yellow wish (picture both back & front cam)

I will buying Galaxy A54 5G to replace my 5 years old Galaxy A50. A54 5G now more cheaper than newer A55 5G ❤❤❤
I think the A55 is a small upgrade, so go ahead and buy the A54 which is a good phone.
I switched from Flip 3 to A54. I no longer want to pay over $1K for a phone.
That is a great idea and Samsung understands that and is making the midrange phones increasingly good.👍🏻
I'm also using Samsung galaxy a54. This is nice phone.👍
Very good value. Thanks for watching ❤️
I brought A54 used for 178$ after tax. Great price for a last year phone.
Great price, indeed.
I personally own the S23 fe, but def the A54 is of better value. Expandable storage, bigger battery and smaller bezels
In theory I agree. However, you have better photos, better video, faster processor. The bezels are identical this time.

Go to settings>apps>one ui home> battery and set it to unrestricted you will experience the diff believe me
@@i.CURSED wouldn't the battery life get worse?

Why Samsung A54 increased their antutu benksmark Before it was 507782 and now 585282
They did not. The first figure is from ANTUTU version 9 and the second from version 10. Version 10 raised the scores a bit to accommodate more phone models and be able to differentiate between them.
Hope that A55 will be better.
Probably it will be better. Each iteration was better except for the A53 that was not better than the A52s.
Does the main cam oversaturates the photos..?? My A54 does.... Ever since I updated it to Android 14, One Ui 6
No, I would say that most photos are less saturated than the usual Samsung style.
Mine does.. every pictures turn to yellowish
Sorry to hear that. Try to reset the camera app. Long press on the camera icon, press the i button and erase storage.
Mine is whiter than before, i don't know why
Maybe it is because of Une UI6. Lets hope Samsung fixes this in an update. Till then try to turn on or off scene optimiser and / or Auto HDR.

Best phone

After updating to UI 6.0 my a54 5G camera providing yellowish pictures..
Sorry to hear that. Have you tried resetting the Camera App?
@@mytechchannel123 yes

Yes, it is a good camera. Midrange phones are improving fast. I am testing the Poco X6 Pro and I am impressed by the phone and also the cameras.

Should i buy a34 or a54 ? I don't care about the difference in terms of money. I just want the best processor and the one which lag less. Thank you!
I would buy the A54. The processors are similar but the A54 is better in every other way.
Aren't you guys facing camera quality issue? Its so yellowish and over saturated. Looks like m painted in yellow color
Not on my model, no. But some people complained, indeed here in the comments.
Yes I am facing with this problem
Sorry to hear that
Super amoled . Not oled wtf
Super amoled is a Samsung branded oled. The technology is oled for super amoled, as well. Thanks for watching.
