Dimash is a 28-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!).
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their origianal, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art1, you realize your so wrong.
He said in an interview he trains every day at least 3 hours and he swims under water very often to increase his lung capacity. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies like this that have such a mystical vibe. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Kobyz for that.
The kobyz is a very old Kazakh folk instrument and it’s spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter.
Stranger was performed in Sochi, Russia in 2021 at the New Wave singer competition. Dimash was there as a jury member. Igor Krutoy wrote this song like so many other masterpieces for Dimash.

Here he sings in a competition for young musicians, called New Wave in Sochi, Russia. He was there in 2018 as a guest.
The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. These last three songs are mind-blowing and will leave you speechless. I promise.

Watch SOS 2021 next then Ave Maria a new vocalise composition written especially for him, as was Olimpico 2021 a great neo classical piece. Yeah that's the Fly-Catcher Mouth that we all get when first listening to Dimash. { And most other times also! } He is, quite simply, the best Vocalist on the planet. But - before you, like many other singers, start crumpling into a crushed puddle of envy - you have to know a couple of things.
1] Dimash picked his parents really carefully. Both are well regarded Singers in Kazakhstan and Dimash was up on stage with them from toddlerhood.
2] His classical vocal training commenced from the age of 5 - with the best teachers in the land - so that's almost 25 years already of ( Yes - pretty much daily! ) practice!
He also swims a lot to expand his lung capacity and does Martial Arts training for 'core strength.' He also is a multi-instrumentalist ( won his 1st Piano competition aged 8 } Composes, and sings in 14+ languages. And, if all that wasn't enough! He's a thoroughly nice guy without a shred of 'Star Ego' 😊

Dimash (De Mash like wash) began his classical vocal and instrumental training at age 5 and continued until age 25 but still works with his vocal trainer from time to time.
He is from Kazakhstan, Eurasian by ethnicity. He is 6'3" tall, an athlete. He is considered the greatest singer in the world but is also a fabulous entertainer as well. Dimash is fluent in Kazak, Russian and is gotten much better in English and some Chinese.
He has just completed his Doctoral Studies and Dissertation. The first born of three siblings which in his country means he was rained his first 10 years by his paternal grandparents.
It was his Mama (grandmother) to whom he informed their piano was out of tune and she immediately got him into the most prestigious children's music school in Quazakhstan.
It has leaked out that he is a very philanthropic man, but he absolutely will not discuss it.
No one knows if he is married as he does not believe it is anyone's business. We mostly doubt it though as he is all over the world and on the go constantly.
He has just moved to L.A. temporarily to try to break into the music business here.
I hate that as all of the music and acting business is wicked to the core.
He was raised in a strict Muslim faith with very high morals.

The Mosh pronunciation is quite misleading. I think Mahsh is a much closer pronunication. Mosh leads to an o sound rather than an ah sound.

Me lleva a pensar en la voz de Dimash y el elemento terapéutico que supuestamente tiene en muchas personas. A menudo he comentado sobre la capacidad de Dimash para transmitir emociones profundas a través de su voz (incluso cuando existen barreras del idioma, Dimash parece capaz de transmitir el sentimiento vocalmente). Por los videos que he visto y los artículos que he leído, Dimash es un ser humano muy enfocado (¡obviamente talentoso!), que tiene un profundo sentido de conexión con las cosas simples de la vida: familia, fe, belleza, niños, amistades y respeto. Not whistle. A vocal coach explained its a whistle register when it sounds like a whistle. This is still head voice or reinforced falsetto. Another vocal coach said, its called falsetto when there's no power behind the voice, but as you heard. Dimash's voice is pretty powerful in all ranges. And his name is pronounced Dee-Mosh (like a most pit). Congrats on finding one of the world's best voices. Just to let you know he sings in a lot of languages. You just happened to find one of his English ones. English title doesn't necessarily mean English lyrics. Some songs have no lyrics at all. Lol.
