This song was released on the year I was born... This gives me that feeling of a song I know so well, but could never consciously remember... I am getting chills learning this song, almost emotional 😅 It is kind of haunting how just straight up BEAUTIFUL this melody and harmony is. So simple, yet so classic.
The melodies that flows out that man..
Wow
Interesting version, but I prefer the Flaming Pie one with George Martin's orchestration and Ringo's always on point drumming which avoids unnecessary flourishes. Classic Macca!
Amazin version! Since 1986 Macca has this song!,
Wonderful Wonderful song by the genius Sir Paul McCartney.
Dear Sir Paul always timeless and beautiful
what else??? perfect and searhing for the perfection always
Excelente canción y me encantó escucharla en esta versión distinta. Gracias por compartirla Paulina!!🎹😻
This version is the holy grail...Love this more than the Flaming Pie version...But then again the Flaming Pie version was the official release and still sounds good, but no where near the awesome original...
When compared to the final version, you get how Paul's voice started to show its age during the 90's.
Flaiming Pie's version is amazing, though, and I'm glad it got the arrangement it did - 80's style instruments didn't do justice to Paul' musicianship. On the otjer hand, the orchestra and Ringo's coda on the finished recording is just perfect. Easily a solo Paul top 10. But that doesn't mean that Paul's voice was already decaying by '97.
you are totally right
I agree with you. I think Paul cannot have put high tone well since "Flowers in the dirt". so I love this more than 1997's virsion.
OmGosh!! ..I really liked this! 💙
To an extent i prefer this version
I ❤️ Paul

You have a attractive RUclips channel there.... (I just subscribed your channel)..... Cheerio !
Voltaire : )
AMAZING!!!!!!
I almost like this version better. If this song was on "Press to play " it would have been a better album.
Maybe a duet with F. Mercury of this song.... I can imagine... 🤔
"Through or Love" is very Queen-is in my opinion!
The drums are fantastic did sir Ringo play the track? I bet he did no can play the drums like Ringo can!! Just super!!!! Long live sir Paul and sir Ringo we love you guys!!! Just two beautiful diamonds that will always shine on like George and John!! up the irons maiden manic Beatles manics all over the world🇬🇧🇬🇧🎸🎸🎸🤟🤟🤟🤘🤘🤘🤟🤟🤟🤘🤘🇦🇺
Susan Duva Liberty DeVitto was the drummer, his band on this version was Billy Joel’s guys, recorded at The Power Station in NY.
"Don't do that one time alright baby!"
Liberty Devitto who was Billy Joel's drummer from the beginning is the drummer on this version, not Ringo.
that's flabbergasting
Wonderful version! Iove those outtakes! What is the source of this version?
Dr. Luis Felipe Berchielli Paul worked on this version in 1986 with some of Billy Joel’s musicians. He didn’t feel the end result was quite right, so he put it on the shelf, and after working on the new Beatles tracks for the Anthology, he invited Ringo to play drums and finished up the song
Ringo did.not.play.the.drums still.a fantastic track just.lovely only sir paul.can do a very gifted guy just like the late great John Lennon was!! Paul made the Beatles thanks to the late great George Harrison without Paul and George the Beatles would be nothing and sir Ringo as well up the irons maiden manic🤘🤘🤘🎸🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🤟🤟🤟❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
There seems to be a little reverb in this mix.
michavandam yeah, that was an effect that happened in the program that I used when I was widening the stereo image
@@PaulinaAngel When it comes to mixing, I'd say the stereo image can go to hell, as long as we get the pure sound. Old mono records sound great too.
Too much reverb destroys details and makes the sound blurry and kitschy. So it would be awsome if you'd replace this upload with the original sound file that you must have.
x
michavandam if you go to PaulMcCartney.com/downloads , he just uploaded it up there which now renders my remaster obsolete
@@PaulinaAngel OK, thanks!
Why wasn't in "press to play""?
Press To Play was released during the Spring of 1986, this was recorded during the summer.
@@PaulinaAngel oh sh*t
where did this version come out?
Héctor González Conde this came from a bootleg called Pizza And Fairy Tales, remastered by me. But a new 2020 remaster is available for free at www.paulmccartney.com
Agent Paulina Angel of SHIELD 👏🏻
