ABOUT ME
I’m Fern! A 20-something gal living on beautiful Vancouver Island, Canada with my partner and two dogs. I like to create content on social media part time and also work as a Registered Nurse. I am interested in health and wellness - nutrition, holistic living, and exercise. I have been vegan for over 4 years and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I have over 100 houseplants and love to share about them :) For those into astrology, I am a gemini sun, scorpio moon, & libra rising. I started out on social media with a focus on makeup/beauty/fashion and am not into it as much, but I do share on those topics from time to time. Thanks for stopping by!

THE VIDEO THAT EVERY PLANT BEGINNER NEEDS!
i love the rule “if you can’t comfortably read a book in a room with no artificial light then don’t put a plant in their” :) 💚🌱
Great video and tips!! I bubble wrapped my Southeast-facing window in my room to block the cold in the Winter. And I noticed that like a sheer curtain, it allows in nice direct/indirect morning light onto my plants without it getting hot enough to burn the leaves.
Well, not quite but this is what mostly internet say about Spider Mites.
I can't wait until you move and we get to see your new place. Great video
I really appreciate that you explained all of the lighting nuances! Thank you Fern!!
This is awesome. I was saying "YES" out loud when you said that Ficus elastica 'Tineke' LOVE BRIGHT LIGHT AND WATER.
I love this video idea! I never know which plants prefer which lighting so thanks for sharing!
Yesss! my ficus tineke alsooo loves extreme sun. Summer is over where I am so I've put her directly under my bright grow light, and I've had 3 new leaves in just over a month!
I love all your plants, I hope I can have someday as much as you
My house is definitely good in summer but horrible in winter in terms of lightning. During the summer all my windows get decent light (they’re all east-faced) but they’re small, so in tbe winter with less hours of light and lots of cloudy/rainy days I’ll surely need a grow light for all my plants. Pothos and spiderplant miraculously survived this winter but cacti were seriously damaged.
Wow thank you so much for this video it has been a real eye opener for me as I was under the impression plants had to be able to see the sky so I’ve grouped mine all around the windows! Luckily it’s been winter & not really really sunny.
excellent thoughts on lighting and plants I am getting all my houseplants ready for winter now here in New York
Thanks for the helpful video Fern! Love all your videos and your plants 💜. Hope you’re taking care.
It’s the info. I have been searching for. I just started collecting Hoyas and wondered if direct west facing windows will be a good spot and you answered that for me. Thank you!
The exact video I need right now. Love from Edmonton.
LOVE YOU!!! You are my everyday inspiration for my ”plant mom Life”🥰 hugs from Sweden❤️
This video was very helpful! Ty Fern!🤗
I'm so happy I finally followed from IG! I've been binging your channel and you're giving me life ♡♡♡ thank you!!
Good refresher information. Best to you on your move
