ABOUT THIS VIDEO: Window lighting for plants: NORTH, SOUTH, WEST or EAST?
In this video we talk all about natural light for plants, window lighting for plants and specifically window orientation when it comes to sunlight for plants. I first go over the factors we should consider when thinking about the best window for our plants (according to window orientation). If you have a south facing window, or north facing window, east facing window, or westfacing window, we will also go over best plants for south facing windows, as well as plants for west facing windows, plants for east facing windows, and of couse plants for north facing windows :-) I hope this video is super useful when deciding where to place your plants at home and do let me know if you have any questions about this in the comments ! - Развлечения
Super nützlich Lucia thank you. It's a real problem to rearrange some plants you have to because of the huge difference in hours of daylight sunlight. You are the first who is talking about that, that's so important. Nobody else has.
Wonderful video! Cute, polished graphics & very detailed, clear explanations. Answered my questions perfectly :) Thanks for your help, Lucia!
**PS. I love the sleepy cat in the frame at **6:32**.**
So cool for telling us about the Sunlight and what our plants see. It makes perfect sense!
Thank you for answering the question I was having about where to put my plants, especially in the winter and summer months.
This was so very helpful 😊 Thank you!
Great info Lucia! My apt faces the South in lower Michigan. But I also get a little of the East and a lot of the West sun. Can't wait to get all of my cacti out on my balcony in a couple of months so they can enjoy the sun they've been without this winter season.
Ah! I totally understand that feeling 💚 I am very excited to place my plants in the balcony soon :-)
Que interesante lucia!!!
Thank you for this information ✌🏽❤
I was literally looking for a video about this! 🙌🏾
Yay! We are on the same wavelenght 💚 Hope it was helpful and I am here for any questions :-)

I love this channel! I am happy I found you, thank you for your tips, you are amazing.
I am amateur plant mom and have been struggling. I have my plants in front of SW windows. I am struggling with a small palm that I placed in the North window because I think I burned it by placing in the SW window.
1. Any way to save it?
2. What is the best window for Peperomia?
I purchased online and struggling to keep it alive. It has a few curled leaves, 4 stems, 1 open leaf in a pottery pot. I think the pot maybe to big for it per your videos.
3. I bought a small Peperomia to make up for the dying one and repotted into a slightly bigger pot with drains and noticed One of the leaves fell off.
Thanks to ur video I finally know what window I have ..lol I have a west facing window that gets all the sun in the afternoon. My variegated string of pearls just won't grow at all. What can I do plz help.
Hiiiii, so I have west facing windows and I have my succulents in the window with my blinds up. I also have golden pothos and Swiss cheese plant that I have near my kitchen on the ale and it they love it there they get that bring it indirect light even tho I have my blinds up. Now I have my monstera delciousa in the corner where they do it direct sun but they’re more pulled back right in the window. But tell me if my monstera are in a good place
My house in West Africa is designed to be cool so the windows don't let in a lot of light. I have all my plants on my north facing verandah and keep many of them outside in the shade in winter. In summer they come back on the verandah to keep cool.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience in West Africa Janet 💚 I always love to see your perspective because it shows there are many different ways to care for our plants and these greatly depends on where we are and environmental conditions around them :-) Thank you so much for sharing!
Help!
I’m confused. I live in California, the sun sets in the west. So wouldn’t my Westside facing windows be better than the south facing windows??
Hi! Both west side facing windows and south facing windows get lots of light :-). South facing windows will get light throughout the day and west more in the afternoon. It will also have different intensity depending on various factors (the ones in the video). But I think the best window is the one that works for you and your plants. If your west facing window is working, then that’s the one :-)
I only have a north facing window in my room, and all my plants need bright indirect light
How do I solve this problem??
I used to put them right next to the window and got burned (I live in the Middle East)
