I’ve gotten a lot of messages about this tier list and there’s one big thing that I've learned here that I would definitely change in the video if I could redo it Nazz is totally a name. Ignore me there. I am very very dumb.
@@Demi-Joker Ah yeah, that's been happening a lot with the links. Thanks for letting me know. For now, just look up the song "Science Fiction" from the Blazblue soundtrack because that is the one there
@Rapid Studios I think the Plank has Pyschological Effect on everyone because the plank represents as sorta tell me everything/view as a person object and the effect varies on person holding it
@Rapid Studios thats debateable, but my opinion still stands its like the puppet debate on Batman the animated show and comic. The criminal was telling Batman it was real and it told me but in reality it was exaggeration of someone evil side and it had more than one user seriously.
“Eddy has about average physical strength?” Whaaaaaat? Are we just going to ignore how he holds himself up with his tongue at the start of every episode?!?
@@bachconneshon7809 Thinking about it, this does seem to be a tier list that measures combat capabilities. If not, Eddy would have definitelly been A tier and maybe Edd too due to their intelligence whereas Ed would be a lot lower due to his lack of it.
@@trueworldender5237 I mean, trickery and smarts can lead you to defeat a stronger opponent. But when push comes to shove, tricks and kicks are no match for combat capabilities. Eddy is a lot smarter than Ed, but once Ed makes full use of his strength, Eddy's completely outmatched
Ed can take down the Kankers and Eddy brother if he is angry enough!! He defeated Eddy brother in the final ep after all but it is the only time he uses his brain
She’s a One-off. But she made the universe to destroy it. Rolf murdered her to stop her, using his three-shoe beating, punishment hat, and goat ram attack
I think we are underestimating Ed. The biggest thing holding him back isn’t his intelligence, but his restraint. Ed is genuinely too obedient and good natured to really utilize his skills to intentionally hurt anybody unless he’s in one of his moods. Like that one time when Eddy sent him to physically take on all three Kankers in a wrestling match, but he said he wouldn’t fight back because his mom forbade him from fighting girls (which is probably why Sarah gets away with so much). But when he convinced the Ed’s to play Space Outlaws, he managed to intimidate the Kankers into actually running away in fear on his own. His constant consumption of horror fiction also gave him enough of a working knowledge of the occult to successfully curse the cul-de-sac and on occasion terrorize the neighborhood using his stories, theories, or violent personas. His lack of typical intelligence probably stops him from being S+, but when he allows himself (or is allowed) to be more aggressive, he can be an absolute terror worthy of the S rank.
Yeah, that's what stops him to be ranked higher, the fact that he is only terrifying in certain situations. Whereas Lee (eldest Kanker sister) got so high because she is consistently powerful in almost all situations, therefore she has only a few drawbacks and perhaps the most balanced character.
Motivation, in general, can drive any of the cast to perform feats ordinarily beyond their ranking. For instance, when Edd is being tormented by the Kankers, Eddy goes ballistic and actually manages to intimidate them into leaving, Lee included.
Ed doesn't have that high of intelligence but he does have a small capacity of learning, in the episode "Every which way way but Ed" Double D teaches him the ability to control electricity, an ability Ed was able to quickly grasp entering what I call "the overcharge mode" which basically turns him into a giant magnet pulling any poor soul to him and delivers a powerful EMP easily capable of one hit K.O. though after he uses that attack he reverts back to his normal state showing it's more of a one time use considering how much power he has to charge in order to use it so it's not that reliable but with enough practice he could possibly sustain that form for much longer even after using an attack.
Yeah. Might be my failing memory but I swear I remember seeing a matrix esq 'many doors' sort of episode back when I was a kid, where Rolf had some godlike powers.
@@richardskellington3476 there are tutorials online for building an nuclear bomb, I'm pretty sure edd is capable of making one if he had some plutonom or uranium.
This is the closest I've ever come to on the internet of feeling like I'm trapped in a conversation in high school with the weird kid over his trading cards again.
Edd had a very surprising rage mode moment in the rule-breaking episode. When Ed dumped his ant colony over, he practically choked Ed out with a leg lock and had to be pried off. Also, though you mentioned Eddy and Rolf's pain tolerance, Ed's falls into the same territory with his strength. Practically unmatched. Rolf tried making Ed confess when Rolf was getting pranked by a friend of his, and Ed suffered no ill consequence.
All the characters seem to have points of a bit of a rage boost, but funnily, Edd and Jimmy's rage boost seem to be required for them to be on par with everyone else. XD Heck Jimmy had a few feats of being stronger than Edd with his rage boosts, but Edd's wits and intellect are more consistently beneficial to him than Jimmy. Edd just never really got a win against anyone even with his rage boosts though... Eddy almost always clowns him when he does rage, and he never bothers with the other kids.
Rolf in A is fair if you don't count many Doors Rolf. Rolf is clearly still terrified of Lee, Rolf also KNOWS, he's stronger then Kevin. By like, a lot. He's never even shown to be nervous around anybody other then Lee to my knowledge. Except angry Ed. Who is unfathomably powerful. Dude ate a whole slide in the summer. ....even Hulk couldn't do that shit. So Rolf knows how strong he is, and has only been shown to fear the kankers and Ed when Ed actually wants to fight. That's an indication of his strength to me.
Kain Tugwell-Fisher okay, what exactly did Many Doors Rolf do? Grow heads? Is he even the one that caused reality to start falling apart or were the Eds just sleep deprived and hallucinating? People put way too much stock into Many Heads Rolf. Just like they do Plank.
Nickolas Don Hilcher it’s just a pebble, how conditional is that? In Ed smash bros it could be an item that falls down into the arena and Ed could collect it and go super
@@qwerty20000000003 i think only kankers are stronger than rolf also i think ed and eddy should also be in similair tiers in the episode where he chalenged rolf for the best badge he managed to go through the whole obstacle courae and losing by passing out in few sec longer, ed would provably even win that thing
Not true, as anyone who plays in metas where Many Doors Rolf is banned can attest. Sarah's rage boost has no upper cap, so if several Jimmys get beaten up in the same match, and Sarah can actually invest in her rage without being janked by Rolf, her damage output becomes absurd, easily overwhelming Pebble in Shoe Ed.
@@aprinnyonbreak1290 To be fair, we don't know if Ed's rage boost is capped either. I've never seen Ed have a second application. If someone could figure out how to get two rage boosts on Ed, he probably could be top tier.

Reminds me of 1up binges "Ed edd and eddy, good to evil" another video that proves May Kanker is horribly underrated as a character simply cause she has the Kanker name, but when you really pay attention to her, she is one of the more sympathetic characters, given what she has to deal with all the time and she's the only one who doesn't particularly show malice towards others unless coaxed by her sisters.

You're forgetting Ed's knowledge of the dark arts. He literally cursed the cult-de-sac with a plague of hungry ravens & summoned a malicious evil spirit
While I'm not disputing the effectiveness of Ed's curse, I feel as though I should point out the, for lack of a better term, charge up time it needs. It took an entire afternoon, with the help of Eddy and Double D, to activate the curse, which is an abysmal time to spend in a fight not fighting. That and the materials required to activate the curse are pretty niche. If Ed had prep time before the fight, he may think to use the curse of Evil Tim, but most fights in the show don't have prep time, and fewer still have an entire afternoon of prep time. This was still an oversight, just not a massive one.
@@Yeet-eq7ve well he basically summed up Plank as figment of Johnny's imagination so he did not really have any power I guess. But Plank deserved a ranking imo.
Plank is most certainly a conscious being with a mind of his own. When Ed wrecked the kitchen sink in Johnny's house while Johnny was stuck in a tree and had Plank keep an eye on the Eds, Plank told Johnny the damage they caused. Information that Johnny couldn't have learned on his own given the circumstances. P.S. Rolf is S tier. I even chose him to make into a DnD 5e Monster, and nobody can survive his "Almighty Three-Shoe Beating!!!" multiattack.

I'd like to find a person that never heard of this series, ask them to listen only to the audio of this video and then make them believe that Ed, Edd n' Eddy is an epic fantasy fighting series full of action and violence.
You didn't even mention Lee's greatest feat. The ship in the bottle not even full power Ed could pull it off of his finger and Lee just popped it off with almost negative effort showing that if she was serious all the time, she could slaughter the verse without much effort
Honestly jokes aside this is a genuinely good analysis of each Character's personality, their strengths, weaknesses, and how their traits play into and influence them.
It really is. I kinda wish he had allowed Eddy's Brother and Many Doors Rolf, so we could do a proper meta analysis to determine how everyone stacks up in real terms, but this is a fine guide even without it.
I still say Eddy and Kevin are evenly matched in strength, as they’re both slightly above average, but Eddy can win thanks to his insane durability that rivals Rolf’s
Eddy's Brother is the series equivalent of Broly in that he has his own movie, has been hinted at throughout the cannon, I e legendary super saiyan style, and it took the combined powers of everyone else to defeat him!
I humbly disagree, but am interested in said topic: Eddy hyped up his older brother, like most younger brothers do. He beat on Eddy for years behind closed doors, but when the kids of the cul-de-sac saw the kind of abuse poor Eddy had to take, all it took was a bunch of young kids bum rushing him to show he ain't as tough as his little brother said he was.
@@venomclown1134 I mean, I'm a full grown adult and I'd say that I have pretty decent strength, but if I had a group of 9-13 year olds bum-rush me I'd likely get my ass beat too. I think mosy would, really. Plus, Edd's brother was just casually whipping Edd around like he was Hulk to Loki. Sure, Edd wasn't putting up a fight, but could he really even if he wanted to? I'd say in that regard it was very much like Goku and/or Vegeta vs. Broly where characters that are A-S tier couldn't touch a charcater proven to be above S+ tier. Couple all that with the fact that you've got the likes of Ed, Rolf and the rest getting a compassionate anger boost that amplifies their strengths along with a stroke of genius on Ed's part and, liek the Saiyan warriors combining their efforts/powers, they take down the big baddie. Then again, we've only ever seen Edd's brother in action once and have only seen a small fraction of what he can do, but only in relation to one character. We'd need more info and screen time with him to really gauge just how powerful he could really be. Maybe he's really only S tier, but could also be he needs a ranking above S+.
Yo, finding out Kevin and Marie were voiced by the same actress was an earth shattering revelation. Idk, what to do with this information now. I fear the power it possesses 😳
Ed and double D's VAs took rolls in Gundam Seed meaning that technically you can unironically enjoy the show as Ed and Edd using gunpla in one of eddie's schemes to make a story and this is just the characters POV.
Ever seen how many roles Cristina Vee can pull off? Or Grey Delisle (also known as Grey Griffin? Idk why)? Heck, you've probably watched a lot of characters voiced by Yuri Lowenthal and not realised that guy is pretty much _everywhere_ . Voice actors/actresses are pretty freaking amazing.

Ed is s tier, he has untapped potential, above his enormous strength only seen when he is angry, and he has a lot of durability, that not even Rolf could give him a beating, like in the episode where Rolf tries to get him to spill answers about his pen pal because he thinks it’s his mortal enemy and he beats him all night but Ed isn’t at all phase, he is above Rolf.
Oh, but this is only Ed's raw, base power. Ed becomes an unmatchable force, once in his monster form, or once he has his trinket *shoe pebble* . No one can stop him when he is on a rampage. The military has to bribe Ed with a neverending supply of buttered toast, to sate his appetite. Whether it be for wheat and butter, or for flesh and bone.
I think the best strength feat of the series is that episode where Ed was in a bad mood due to a pebble in his shoe, the dude scared even his little sister, Sarah who is a powerhouse herself. Ed casually went on a rampage and easily has the strength feats to destroy the Cul De Sac if he wanted to, in that state i can see Ed easily S+ Tier.
@@Bloopergrandson1 But it's so inconsistent is the thing. Sure he has the potential to but I'd comapre Ed to World Breaker Hulk; it's under such extreme circumstances of either wild inconveniences or constant binging that he unlocks a state of fighting and being that are above anyone else; even the Hulks "rivals" like wolverine (or who were thought to be rivaling him) stood no match when Bruce had unparalleled anger, immense strength and peak awareness as well. IF Ed had that constant mental sense of awareness of his power and desire to use it he could definitely get shit done. But he isn't like that, and that's something you can't ignore no matter how strong you are; he's damn strong and the fact he's up high is still a testament for his raw strength alone carrying him, unlike the other characters who have a combination of strength, speed, and technique
Depends on the kind of soldier. Just because you're in the military doesn't make you a bad ass. Should be imagine a delta force operator or a army ranger
@Yuki Kanno Well you're speaking to an ex soldier, and trust me bro, there isn't shit the army can teach you that you cant learn from a private instructor. You might learn mixed unit tactics, sweeping and clearing, depending on your mos, if you're attached to a combat arm. Considering there were no Gun toting kids on ED EDD AND EDDY, it would boil down to hand to hand combat, and trust me, unless your SF, you ain't learning nothing special. Even infantry (me) and marines only learn basic takedowns and very, very basic judo, all can be learned on the street. Hell, Don Shipley runs a navy seal boot camp in Va beach for all the so called bad asses who are all talk no walk. I know civilians that will kick the shit out of most servicemen and I know some soldiers who will eat you alive. It all boils down to the individual and their will power. Good luck in basic bro, words of advice, tie knots at the end of your boot strings so they don't come all the way out, helps you get them on faster when the instructors burst into your barracks at 4:30 in the morning saying you have 5 minutes get dressed. Keep your hands out of your pockets or you will get SMOKED, and only speak when spoken to. Good luck and thank you for your service future brother.
Thing about Ed is, he has a heart of gold. He would never heart a fly, when he gets himself into fights, he often takes the pummeling or just lets it happen. I’d he wanted to, he could easily crush anyone in the show with no effort
I agree with this. For me putting Ed below S tier is not justice for this amazing character. Ed true strength is shown at the series finale when they escape the cul de sac kids. Where he literally Carries the shit out of the Edds and defeating half of the cast chasing them down. Ed is a mandatory S tier, below Sarah to be precise
In regards to lee getting taken down by some of the weaker characters like double D. I'm reminded of that popular quote by Mark Twain. "there are some things that can beat smartness and foresight. Awkwardness and stupidity can. The best swordsman in the world doesn't need to fear the second best swordsman in the world; no, the person for him to be afraid of is some ignorant antagonist who has never had a sword in his hand before; he doesn't do the thing he ought to do, and so the expert isn't prepared for him." Her own strength is her weakness. She likely views some of the weaker characters as such an insignificant trifle that it catches her off guard and quickly leads to her defeat.
Also, you can't forget that Lee, and the kankers in general aren't just trying to beat everybody, they want to capture the Eds. It is much, much harder to subdue and capture than to simply destroy, especially with the combination of cunning, intellect, and brawn the 3 Eds possess.
@@theeye8276 And true. When I was a child I frustrated my grandfather at checkers and my uncle at chess because I didn't do the things they thought I would. They still beat me once they realized that I was just unpredictable and they'd have to adjust for that, but it absolutely destroyed plays they were trying to set up. At one point my uncle thought I was hustling him.
I like to think double d has his own version of the rage boost. In the episode double d dropped the book on Lee he used his intelligence and the "desperation boost" to hold up the book. (It broke a leg, it's heavy). This power was used again in the movie where he hold on to a merry go round while supporting everyone and a car. And like a minute before this event he held ed (with eddy's help of course.) This, to me, makes edd one tier under eddy because of edds pacifist nature while eddy has practically no moral compass. Edit: I think Ed and Johnny should be MUCH higher up on the list. Reasonings: Ed’s pebble transformation is god tier and incredibly easy to access Johnny can get extreme strength from his desperation to be with his plank of power so he’s like that one newspaper zombie from PvZ. If you fight him it’s almost impossible to not scratch or even break plank. And the second you do, you get absolutely rage rolled by the 2nd most powerful rage boost.(1st is Ed’s pebble form.)
@@bonedude666and he shouldn't be aware its there, it should annoy him in a subtle way like when something's bothering you, yet you can't tell what it is, otherwise he'll probably just naively remove it or be bothered a different way that will only make him nag about it and won't give him any power boost
due to his severe lack of power compared to the rest of the roster, he can't really do anything with his immense stun power, so it's more likely than not an ability meant to retreat, not combat
By far! Ed Edd and Eddy is WAY too one of a kind to not get DBZ levels of respect. I mean name ANY other cartoon that's anything like Ed Edd and Eddy. Bobobo probably comes the closest but that wacky humor is too deliberate to count. EEE is like the perfect balanace of being wacky, but you FEEL every blow.
Dont forget Ed's mom told him he cant hit girls so we never actually see him fight the sisters or sarah for real... pretty sure he could beat all of them if the circumstances were right
In pure strength, I honestly think Ed can beat every single person in the show. He's held back by the fact that his mom told him not to hit girls like you said, and the fact that he's a gentle giant. If he wasn't held back by those two main things, and had more intelligence to his name, I think he would be at the top.
@@CreaperSiege I don't think so. At least, when Ed is actually fighting back. The only "battles" that Rolf has been in has been against Eddy. Or at least, from what I can remember.
@@365autorifle8 Yeah, I think you're right. It's honesty super disappointing we don't see more characters fight, when they're both actually trying. A lot of the lower ranking ones do, on a regular basis; but for most higher tier battles, only one of the characters every seems to be determined. I think this video does a good job of ranking characters overall, but I don't think it's feasible to rank characters on their maximum attainable power; at least with the S+, S, and A tiers.
Many Doors Rolf is "technically" not cannon, but it was, and still is the defining build in the metagame. I feel like this description of Rolf, assuming Many Doors Rolf doesn't exist is a very fair and accurate depiction as his performance as a character overall.
Edd without his hat is like Batman without 'do not kill'. The power alone makes him a different character, for what is a being without limits if not no longer human?
Its more like mandy smiling, or atlas holding the world in one hand. Shit starts to go wrong fast and it doesn’t really make Double D more powerful. In fact he’s so obessed with keeping the hat on he can be trapped in a certain position because of it.
Let us not forget that The Grim adventures of Billy and mandy and code name kids next door are actually in the same universe. And if you use the CN city bumpers you can scale them with characters like samurai Jack
this dude should get a medal for unironically breaking down the power levels of all the characters in ed edd and eddy. I would ask him to do johnny bravo next but that dude has a power level over 9000.
Obviously, Johnny is far stronger than we see in the show. He has to be in order to survive pretty much everything we see happen to him throughout the entire series. In addition, he is constantly training his physical strength and durability, and we see his speed increase at least once during the show’s run. I’d say he’s at least as strong as Ed is here. He’d probably be a match for Lee Kanker if he cuts loose.
Professor Penne I would go as far as to say the monkey’s power is untested still, as Johnny never gets to truly use it in the show. Everyone always runs away when they since his power level rising, and this is the toned down anime version. In the Manga, Johnny just saying he’s going to do the Monkey is enough to cause his opponents to flee in terror. Even Shaggy with Scooby’s power boost knew not to contest the Monkey, so in theory Johnny Bravo doing the Monkey is the single most powerful cartoon character at that given moment.
@@pizzahut8482 I'm not sure how he wasn't even included since it was heavily foreshadowed that he is the source of every other character's power. Come on, I know it's an anime but a child being able to pick up a house and ignore laws of physics on a whim? I was heavily downvoted in the Edd Ed and Eddy subreddit for saying Plank was the deity and now look.
Let's not forget when Ed as a toddler lifted a house over his head. So as an adolescent, we probably have never seen his full strength. We're talking beyond Shaggy levels. And not to mention when the Erupting Eds took on the Calcified Kankers, all three Kankers, including Lee was just dragged around by Ed like they were nothing more than Jimmy pulling a little red wagon.
Take it easy dude, you can't just go around saying other characters are at Shaggy's level. Ed might have shown some godlike amounts of strenght in the manga, but let's not forget that Shaggy ain't no god. He's far beyond that.
Ed is basically just a big jobber like Okuyasu, he's certainly got the greatest potential of them all but is unable to take advantage of his true strength.

I’d put Eddy’s brother in the middle B tier. He seems like a basic glass cannon. Can’t take much damage but has some deadly techniques which can bring down one of the series biggest tanks in a couple of maneuvers
Classic mistake. Eddy's Brother actually has a bugged HP stat, he retains the HP he had back when he was a raid boss. Originally, this was a bug, but it was left in, since it made him more like a berserker, and Pebble In Shoe Ed hard counters Eddy's Brother, since he deals HP% damage on all of his rage attacks. Eddy's Brother can thus be tooled into generally the most durable tank, and while he doesn't have any proper aggro management, his raw dps tends to work well enough. He's flat out more durable than Chonky Nazz, and Captain Melon Head. Only Plank is more durable, but Plank has no offensive presence whatsoever, despite having the highest bst in the game. Eddy's Brother along with a niche Marie Kanker build remain the only reliable ways to reliably counter the infamous Many Doors Rolf build, which given its centralizing nature, made it a crucial part of the meta.
Earlier on I thought about having him on the list and, no joke, that's along the lines of what I would have said. I just had enough on my plate with everyone else and decided not to go through with him.
Well let's be clear. Any critical damage taken is enough to incapacitate all Ed characters, albeit for a short period. Since Eddy's Brother's guard was down and too a direct hit from his trailer door it was an easy win (also because of the excuse of writing and time constraint.) However, had the fight been set for a longer duration Eddy's Brother (whom further on will name Terry) would have thrashed the entire Cul-De-Sac gang. Keep a reminder that Eddy made his brother a bonified legend, like some unseen force of nature; even a mention of this mysterious figure was enough to emit fear and spark attention throughout Cul-De-Sac and judging how Eddy was always terrorized by older sibling it stands to reason that most of the rumors, Eddy told were indeed truths stretched out into exaggeration. Think of him as the equivalent of Broly from DBZ and Sensui from Yu Yu Hakusho (if you've watched that those shows), in scales of power, if Goku and Yusuke respectively couldn't defeat Sensui on their own let alone their friends... that leaves you a dark realization of what to expect. Had the climax of the Big Picture Show been given a longer runtime... I don't think anybody could have stood a chance against Terry without not coming up with a plan.
@@TheMightyN I'd say Eddy's bro is the equivalent of a Boss Character, more specifically an SNK Boss Character: Let's say he's Omega Rugal from KoF 98 or 2002 -As a playable character: he's around A or lower S -As a Boss: He has tons of HP, a power boost and a level of precognition (seen as fighting the Eds) you need a team of 3 to actually taking him down
@@Arausito I see where you are coming from, equipped with also a high atk boost, the Eds were unaware of this. So it would be something like this ruclips.net/video/OZ-4VanZk2s/видео.html Not sure that should place on the low S tier. If the Kankers were somewhat scared of him (as you all heard yourselves by Edge Lord here, through his exaggerated quirkiness of annoyance, that Lee is near equivalent to a God and not a benevolent one and only seeks to only bring chaos and misery while yearning to satisfy her own lust and desires. If May and Maree had to hold her back against Terry then something is up. Coming from a combative background and watching anime a sincere level of perception has to be used when examining this fight.
I'd say Johnny can easily beat up Sarah if she did something to Plank. In Season 4 "Here's Mud in Your Ed" Johnny displayed an ease of strength and power over Sarah after she simply got Plank wet. Also Johnny was able to defeat the Kanker Sisters when they stole Plank.
Well, yes and no. Yes because that happened, no because Eddy did torture Johnny using Plank, while the former was restrained obviously, but it is entirely possible to break him through Plank.
gonna be honest i actually think leaving out ed's brother is a mistake, he was one of the most POWERFUL people we see in the series beating every single person who came at him until everyone decided to work together, I think his immense strength must be accounted for
He was only beating up Eddy and Double Dee. He didn’t even touch the others, he just kept them at bay at first cause of his intimidation. Hell, he even got knocked out by a single slam of a door. Meanwhile, Eddy was tossed several times into the same door and was still conscious. Honestly, I feel like if there was nothing holding them back… characters like Ed, Rolf, Lee and Sarah could’ve easily taken him down 1v1
Uh…he got about 5 minutes of screen time and his only physical feats are beating up Edd & Eddy. Not exactly a whole lot to go on. He’s certainly implied to be far stronger than everyone else, but who knows how true that actually is. He strikes me as one of those guys whose bark is worse than his bite.
He's only "powerful" because of Eddy's lies about him. when we actually see his strength, ALL the kids realize he's a phony the minute Eddy confesses he lied. They don't even think twice about pummeling him. He's not really much stronger than Eddy and that's despite him being an adult.
Add in Nazz's love charm, and Rolf's hat of discipline and his power to......... somehow rip a hole in the fabric of reality with sticky fingers, and you have an actual god.
This right here. You can use Double D's quote of Jimmy's grip on reality being "tenuous at best", but Plank has shown himself time and time again to perform feats of his, when he isn't mentally influencing Jimmy's every move. EBJ claims that Plank is merely a hunk of wood, but he forget's that Plank has also an extended family who has been used to soundly defeat the three Eds.
Nah. Pebble In Shoe Ed ignores defense stats, and Eddy's Brother is almost as bulky, but is also a very respectable offensive threat. Plank's lack of mobility and his literally negative offensive presence (Remember, Johnny receives a global buff to damage and perception if Plank isn't on his team) hinders more than it helps in most circumstances. In metas without Eddy's Brother, he CAN be useful to just park on a point and forget about, but even there, May Kanker grapple builds can easily displace him.
You might be onto something. Wasn't there an episode where Plank merely fell over after the Edd's crossed him and Johnny and it ended up undoing an entire thing they built?

If Ed and Rolf weren’t naturally “nice guys” They’d easily go up atleast a tier. But because of there gentle natures and laid back attitudes, unless of course provoked, they are lower than than what they can or have shown to be on occasions
Indeed. If Ed was somehow always stuck in his rage form, Combined with a little adage of intelligence and common sense. Than without question, he would be the most terrifying force on the show. Want to cause everyone including the kankers to hesitate before even speaking to him. And attacking anyone including girls, like Sarah and Nazz, who comes near.
I dunno, not a lot of the characters have that much teamwork potential. Ralph and Kevin do have good synergy but Kevin kinda holds Ralph back and Ralph works better with his pig than Kevin. Same with Jimmy and Sarah. Jimmy is more a motivational tool than a co-fighter. The Eds rarely work well together, often turning on each other in desperate times. Honestly you don;t want a team-fight situation since that only magnifies the Kanker Sister's massive power
@@honeyham6788 Jimmys main advantage is to play as a stat buff for Sarah, all he has to do is get himself hurt to almost direct her power in one direction or another.

Ed, Edd and Eddy taught young me one lesson that has saved me many times throughout my life:
Never underestimate the Son of a Shephard.
Clearly the most powerful character is Rolf’s Nanna
Crzr-97 With his magic boomerang, maybe.
More like the Shepard himself
Life has many doors Conlan-boy
What about jib
Are you kidding me, we all are ignoring the true S+ tier character

I personally like how he picks themes that kind of match the characters.

Kevin: HO HO, then come as close as you like, DORK!
I still say Eddy and Kevin are evenly matched in strength, as they’re both slightly above average, but Eddy can win thanks to his insane durability that rivals Rolf’s
Is that a Jo- Jawbreaker reference?
Eddy's Brother is the series equivalent of Broly in that he has his own movie, has been hinted at throughout the cannon, I e legendary super saiyan style, and it took the combined powers of everyone else to defeat him!
Vacerous until super broly came
Vacerous lee never had a chance to fight I believe, may and Marie had to hold her back, barely
Vacerous but his weakness to doors is just a big ooof
I humbly disagree, but am interested in said topic:
Eddy hyped up his older brother, like most younger brothers do.
May and Chie of Persona 4, too. Her second VA, at least.
Ed and double D's VAs took rolls in Gundam Seed meaning that technically you can unironically enjoy the show as Ed and Edd using gunpla in one of eddie's schemes to make a story and this is just the characters POV.

No one is stronger than Ed with a Pebble in his shoe
Ed during a monster movie marathon, yes. Rolf turns so quiet.
Yeah didn't even the Kankers back down from him there? That really cements him as A tier. A win's a win....
Rolf never unleashed his true power. His “Son of a Shepherd” form is a legend seen only once every thousand years
Pretty sure there was an episode where Rolf fought Ed and Kevin at the same time to a stale mate

In regards to lee getting taken down by some of the weaker characters like double D. I'm reminded of that popular quote by Mark Twain. "there are some things that can beat smartness and foresight. Awkwardness and stupidity can. The best swordsman in the world doesn't need to fear the second best swordsman in the world; no, the person for him to be afraid of is some ignorant antagonist who has never had a sword in his hand before; he doesn't do the thing he ought to do, and so the expert isn't prepared for him."
Her own strength is her weakness. She likely views some of the weaker characters as such an insignificant trifle that it catches her off guard and quickly leads to her defeat.
Wow that quote is amazing
Which is part of why Dead Pool Beats Deathstroak in Death Battle
Also, you can't forget that Lee, and the kankers in general aren't just trying to beat everybody, they want to capture the Eds. It is much, much harder to subdue and capture than to simply destroy, especially with the combination of cunning, intellect, and brawn the 3 Eds possess.

Reasonings:
Ed’s pebble transformation is god tier and incredibly easy to access
Johnny can get extreme strength from his desperation to be with his plank of power so he’s like that one newspaper zombie from PvZ. If you fight him it’s almost impossible to not scratch or even break plank. And the second you do, you get absolutely rage rolled by the 2nd most powerful rage boost.(1st is Ed’s pebble form.)
Interesting that a character that usually uses intelligence had such a strong primal sense of instinct of preservation
Ed's pebble form isn't as easy to access as you think. It has to be that specific pebble in that specific position of that specific shoe.

From it's starting point in 1987 with Part 1 Phantom Blood and other future parts the series would gain a massive reputation for being strange and ludicrous with it's character's, what they can do and the situations they consistently finding themselves in._
_Later on as it got more and more popular eventually even getting a very successful animated Adaptation done by David Productions it became a common practice to reference JoJo in other media whether it be with iconic catchphrases like screaming Ora as you attack someone but also posing at pretty much any opportunity or even just imitating it's artstyle._
Tl;Dr it's a cool show and comic book people like to reference to the point where anything resembling something that exists within the JoJoverse will be called a reference. Usualnames. the tune of "Is that a motherfucking JoJo's reference?!"
Hope this answers your question. Oh and all those names that you probably don't know. Those are JoJo character names. All of them are main characters of Part 4 of JoJo's called Diamond is not Crash
Or if you prefer Diamond is unbreakable.
It's a good read/watch and if you're interested I reccomend giving it a shot.
The original creator Araki uses these weird power systems to allow characters to fight using mostly their ability to think instead of. "I'm stronger than you so I win every time." Not to say that's bad or anything but it really is fun and at times it's just fun to try and figure out what your opponent can do with the characters fighting them as that's often part of a battle.
It's really weird with a lot of what it does and you might need sometime to adjust to the artstyle but honestly I think it's worth it. Oh and if you do intend on watching it please don't stop at Part 1. It's only 9 episodes and is not representative of the entirety of JoJo. People usually reccomend getting to at least Part 3 and while that is where a lot of major events happen for the series as a whole. I think that if you're not at least curious of what happens next by the end of Part 2 then you might be safe dropping it.

@@TheMightyN I'd say Eddy's bro is the equivalent of a Boss Character, more specifically an SNK Boss Character:
Let's say he's Omega Rugal from KoF 98 or 2002

-As a Boss: He has tons of HP, a power boost and a level of precognition (seen as fighting the Eds)

Not sure that should place on the low S tier.
Yes because that happened, no because Eddy did torture Johnny using Plank, while the former was restrained obviously, but it is entirely possible to break him through Plank.
...I wonder what would happen in you put Plank into a wood chipper right in front of him...

You forgot one important thing and that is being THE SON OF A SHEPERD
Add in Nazz's love charm, and Rolf's hat of discipline and his power to......... somehow rip a hole in the fabric of reality with sticky fingers, and you have an actual god.
"the greatest trick Satan ever pulled was convincing the world he isn't real." Plank S+ tier
@@Longknife they'll tell you it was just the wind knocking him over, like they always say it's just a "weather balloon" or "swamp gas"

"I can spare some time."
This a mood
For younger me.
I revisit this video every year. It is still my most favourite content on the internet. Thanks so much for making this! The concept just fits so well for this show.
Ed is only using 10% of his power, don’t underestimate him or you die...
For he be the son of a shepard
@@hermitpurple3224 No, Rolf is the son of a shepherd. Ed is the son of a lumpy potato and lumpy gravy.
also, there was also the episode where they were trying to make ed smart and successful, so he had both intelligence and stength
D E R P I have one name for you SHAGGY!!!!
Don't forget the tournament arc where Sarah convinced him to go all out and he destroyed the surrounding terrain before remembering why he shouldn't ever use that power
Fun Fact: Ed Edd and Eddy’s voice actors are all in Inuyasha
Didn't know that wtf
I knew about Sarah being Kagura. But I figured more of them must've been as well. It is a Canadian based dubbing company after all just like this show.
What country is that in?
AND Transformers Armada, a vastly under-viewed quality series
@@DarwinskiYT I think that's an oblast in russia
You know, with all the ridiculous over-the-top slapstick violence in this show, its a real shame that there was never a licensed fighting game made based on it.
All the classic cartoon network characters ala smash would be a serious contender for GOTY
@@zamb4010 Uh, that exists
@@zamb4010 I think that exists? It was called Cartoon Network Punch Time or something like that.
From what I heard it was aight, but unbalanced as heeeck.

@@haltopen12 Man, those were the good old days of fun internet games
Well Eddy’s brother was confirmed that he was the most powerful villain of Cartoon Network’s history
Eddy's brother is weak. Got taken out by a door.
@@mirtaabreu7124
Eddy’s brother scared Rolf, Ed, and all three kanker sisters. He solos all the cul de sac kids.
@@RealMonzer and he got taken out by a door. The cul de sac kids have taken worse than that, for example, Double D had an entire house dropped on his head and he was still standing, unconscious and with memory loss, but still standing, not to mention that he recovered pretty quickly right afterwards and I also forgot to mention that Double D was like a toddler when this happened. Lee Kanker wasn't even afraid of Eddy's brother, when she saw him bullying Eddy, she wanted to beat his ass, Marie and May had to hold her ass back.
@@mirtaabreu7124
>taken out by a door
Yes but he was caught off guard and hit directly in the head. And the door was also being held by an extremely stretched out Eddy. Elastic force scales rapidly with distance, so it wasn't as weak as an attack as you are saying here.
>The cul de sac kids have taken worse than that
That's because its a cartoon and cartoony things happened. It doesn't change the fact that he scales above everyone else. He literally one shots double d in that same fight.
>Lee Kanker wasn't even afraid of Eddy's brother
Lee was being held back by her sisters though, and it's pretty clear that was for her own safety. The sisters were on Eddy's side at this point, if they Lee could have beat his ass, they wouldn't have held her back.
@@RealMonzer or perhaps Eddy's brother is just a glass cannon, high atk, but low def. He can certainly dish it out, but he sure as hell can't take it.
>one shotted Double D
Literally anybody in the cul de sac can do that. Double D is at the very bottom in terms of durability with Jimmy being the absolute weakest.
Rolf becomes the strongest towards the end of the manga
In the words of Rolf "Life has many doors ed boy"
Especially when he unleashes the 8th gate, holy shit.
aw man i havent caught up with the story
im fine with spoilers so can you tell me how he became the most strongest?
and did he defeat the Kankers?
You just made me search for an Ed, Edd and Eddy manga...I am very sad right now.
I'm actually sad that Rolf isn't S tier.
Tier list has many flaws Ed boy
Me too
Same here, his ability to control his outrageous strength is amazing
he's not as strong as Sarah tho..😉
Serenity S stands for Son of a shepherd
Pebble in a shoe Ed is the strongest, second is Rolf when his honour is insulted. Kevin is just good all around but has no stronger forms.
Supreme Captain fish rolf
@@LunaMinuna That's exactly what Insulted Honour Rolf is.
Had to admit tho...
The background music is soooooo sick
Every song matched the characters so perfectly!
If Ed and Rolf weren’t naturally “nice guys” They’d easily go up atleast a tier. But because of there gentle natures and laid back attitudes, unless of course provoked, they are lower than than what they can or have shown to be on occasions
i dont think their alignment is whats holding them back. it's more technique and application
Rolf is pre- perfect cell gohan
Agreed. Imagine if Ed and Kevin switched personalities...he would be horrifying lol
rolf is literally a reality bender though
Good thing this is a tag team fighter, it makes a lot of lower tier characters viable due to synergy with assists
The Kankers we still overpowered
I still believe pebble-shoe-Ed is the strongest character. His intimidation factor alone could actually steer the Kanckers away. But I can respect Lee being number 1.
That was an off occurrence. For that to happen again there needs to be very specific circumstances, this comparison was analyzing the characters throughout the show
*HE ATE A SLIDE*
he has the highest potential for sure
If Ed has the pebble then he would have been level S+
@@MybeautifulandamazingPrincess Pain induced discomfort is not very specific though. I don't have a case to make I'm just here to state that one thing.

We need a Codename: Kids Next Door Tier List
Eh, too many characters. Every subcategory is either too big (say, every villain) or too small (say, the five main characters).
@@cheesewizard3965 Every kid that is a main stay in the show, such as the 5 main characters, 83, and the delightful children. seems like it wouldn't be too difficult since a lot of the characters just dont fit that criteria due to being in too few episodes.
Even as a kid, I thought Father was way too OP for KND to be fighting, this nigga was basically the Human Torch.
