Re. Feathers McGraw, there was recently an exhibition in London's Cartoon Museum celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Wrong Trousers. It featured the storyboards of the climactic Toy Train chase, and some videos explaining that it was actually pretty challenging to do a Cartoon-style chase in the stop-motion format. It really made me appreciate what a brilliant and unique climax it is...
Another fun fact: in the animation exhibition at the national media museum in Bradford, there's one of the last surviving sets of the film, being the museum heist scene
5:26 The older I get the more I feel that this robot was misunderstood. Also I don’t know if anyone else feels this way, but I cry every time I see them looking and reacting defeated. All they wanted to do was ski. They eventually do, but that first moment of defeat makes me cry. 😭
What I love about Feathers was how he’s still on the go, since he escaped the zoo in Loaf and Death (ladder next to his bars) and you can see him in the ending of Chicken Run 2. Goes to show that a sneaky little bugger like him can’t be fully defeated. Edit: and now he’s going to return to get his revenge.
15:22 I'd like to think that the Farmer yells, "Hey! Hey! What?! Traitor! Why I oughta..." at Trumper, as if they had some sort of history and rivalry at some point.

Lord Nooth - Worse Prince John Cooker - Good guy AUTO Victor Quartermaine - British Gaston I think it's safe to say that the 3 "worst" Aardman villains are basically just Disney/Pixar "inspirations"
As for me, I’ll compare the Aardman villains with the Codename: Kids Next Door (2002) Villains list: *Queen Victoria - The 19th Century Cree Lincoln/Numbuh 11 and the Teen Ninjas. *Agent Red - British Adult Henrietta Von Marzipan *Melisha Tweedy - Nurse Claiborne with Madam Margaret’s Colour scheme.
Great ranking! Mrs Tweedy was the first Aardman villain I’ve seen in my life and she’ll always be my favourite one. Miranda Richardson played her perfectly.
Piela's abusive behavior was absolutely wild, considering how at times she's almost a complete gaslighter in a media niche that isn't covered too often (that being gaslighter villains that operate aggressively as opposed to sneakily)
15:17 Something that really does pay off by the end because Not only is he left humiliated but Trumper is Fired and forced to work for a fast food restaurant while the Pound is put under new management

I could imagine what a 3rd chicken run movie would be, maybe Mrs Tweedy would go all out and create a fried chicken franchise company similar to KFC, Also maybe also get Married to another man for the 3rd time, and when i ment all out i mean even more than just nuggets or chicken pot pie
The most interesting thing about Mrs. Tweedy is that she's clearly not willing to put in any actual effort to get the success she wants. And ironically, despite her constantly complaining about making poor profits, all the shortcuts she takes are not only inhumane for the chickens, but actually _way_ more costly for herself too. She wants to sell her brand as "homemade" and she clearly does know how to cook the chickens (since she kills and eats Edwina at the start) so she could easily just bake and sell the pies herself. But instead, she invests God knows how much money into this massive, complicated machine that goes wrong on the first try and then leaves it to her husband to fix. Even in the second film, she relies entirely on Dr. Fry's inventions, and is clearly just a glorified figurehead who doesn't make any actual contribution to the production. Tweedy's deluded herself into thinking that she's this visionary genius who's going to change the food industry, but in reality she's just a narcissistic little nobody chasing get-rich-quick schemes.
She’s also constantly trying to act as the brains of the operation but lets her hatred of chickens and need to make instantaneous profit just completely blinker her into short sightedness. In both movies she experiences setbacks or things getting in the way of her success and her response is the same both times “cook all the chickens” she would’ve gone destitute if she actually succeeded. In the first movie she only had enough chickens to make let’s say 20 pies, how the heck was she gonna make a profit from selling less than a hundred chicken pies, she wouldn’t even be able to buy new chickens with that much and she certainly wasn’t smart enough to get a few younger breeding roosters so she could get more chickens for free. Same in Dawn Of The Nugget, she has a near perfect plan to make billions, she experiences one setback by finding out Ginger’s there and her response is instantly to just kill all her stock. Sure she was getting more chickens delivered so she learned her lesson there at least, but she was hinging her trial run of chicken nuggets on selling I’d say about 80-90 pre-made buckets to the Sir Eats-a-Lot chain, that’d hardly cover a lunchtime rush at one restaurant, let alone cover a whole restaurant chain
Should I also mention how impractical the pie machine is for one they just put ginger on the rack and yet The Machinist producing multiple pies yeah they only put ginger on meaning they would be tons of pies with no chicken in them in fact by the looks of it the time machine is incapable producing one at a time so because of that they waste tons of dough gravy in veg on pies when you don't even have the main ingredient also the things seems very fragile like two small chickens were able to nearly destroy the thing also my I mentioned they put ginger on the rack without even killing her or plucking her feathers mmm feathers in my pie does that sound appetising in fact in general she seems to spend way more money on ways to kill chickens when there's just an easier solution like building some complicated mind control colours would it be easier to just kill the chickens then from in the meat Grindr like which sounds cheaper euthanizing or putting down the chickens then making them into nuggets are using mind control coolers so they happily walk to their doom
@@kwproductions6737 to be fair, the mind control collars had a practical purpose, keep them happy so their meat was more tender and succulent. As for euthanising them, I don’t think that’d work cause those chemicals will still be in the chickens once they’re cooked
Kinda disagree with the number one spot, but still a good list! Not surprised that Feathers McGraw and Mrs Tweedy are in the top three (thought either one of those two would be number 1) but one thing I like to point out with Victor Quartermaine and his dog Phillip is I always saw them as the 'anti' Wallace and Gromit.
11. Cooker - HE JUST WANTED TO GO SKIING ON PLANET EARTH!!!! That’s all I have to say other than he’s just doing his job. 10 . Lord Nooth - I know I haven’t seen Early Man yet, but to top it all off, he plans on sending the cave people to a mine and enslave them. That’s pretty devious. 9. Feathers McGraw - This is exactly my point. He’s trying to steal a diamond from a museum. Not that much to say 8. Agent Red - Okay? Going to extreme measures to prove your beliefs is not a good idea. In fairness, the mech suit thing is really over the top and all, but I think we need to explain that she’s really a tame villain overall. She’s even got a backstory for crying out loud. I also have to question the redemption arc. 7. Trumper - Yeah. This guy is undoubtedly a Pride Medalist. An egomaniac? Yes. A villain? YOU BET YOUR MARINARA SAUCE HE HIS!!! 6. Victor Quartermaine - He earns The Greed Medal hands down. 5. Preston the Cyberdog - a robotic canine that was built for good, but turned to the dark side is a truly well made villain. He frames Grommit and above all else, is a sheep rustler for his underground dog food business. 4. Queen Victoria - Aardman’s version of her barely misses the podium of MY rankings. Did Queen Victoria really hate pirates in history? Seriously! 3. The Toad - Aside from his iced rat collection, this guy is nefarious with his plans to flood the entire scale model of England under Kensington built by rats and every single one of them in it. 2. Piella Bakewell - She really goes to extreme lengths to eliminate Wallace, but got eaten by crocodiles. Glad her dog isn’t like her at all. Unlike Piella, her poodle gets a happy ending. 1. Mrs. Tweedy - (*shudders*) Mrs. Tweedy is one who really really REALLY left an impact. Not to mention that she actually survived a door crushing her! HOW ON OR OFF OF EARTH DOES ONE SURVIVE THAT!?!? 😱 I’m at Markiplier/Nostalgia Critic level freak out mode. And that’s my ranking.
I kind of thought you would add some of Aardman’s villains from their other shorts like Arnold Hugh from Stage Fright, but that no way detracts from this excellent ranking list.
Mrs Tweedy is still the scariest Aardman villain (At least in the first film imo) Though Feathers McGraw and Preston are damn close, theres something very psychopathic about her. Yes, she's a chicken farmer trying to increase profits, but the authority and pleasure she's getting out of controlling them is truly disturbing. Even when she finds out they're intelligent, it only increases her blood lust. She's like "I don't care if they're sentient, I'm not letting my produce get away"
Mrs. Tweedy is honestly underwhelming as a Aardman villain. Most Wallace and Gromit villains have a reveal, like Preston and Piella Bakewell. She shows up too soon in the first movie, and giving her a reveal in the second movie doesn’t work because the trailer gave it away (maybe giving her a scar could’ve made her scarier). It’s like Shaffrillas said about Frollo, that the musical where his evil is slowly revealed is better than the movie playing too many cards up front.

20:26 well I wish you do mean shallow, as Ironically speaking Fatism(phobia leans to fear than it does just against) is a Good thing because we want poeople to be encourged on something that is unhealthy and can be controlled, However you shouldn't just hate fat people you critize them for their unhealthy missuse of food but not just hate them for just being fat. So instead of the advertizers doing reasearch on their product and seeing if it actually would be better if she was fat since it's fitting warm nature that bread has, like a motherly figure, they just look at something generally unappealing that has good reasons for it but don't actually care about that, they just care that she isn't generally attractive. Not that her shape can cuase a higher likely hood for cancer. Yes it is very shallow as they don't really give her a good reason for why that couldn't work from what I'm hearing, Still phrases like "plus sized" and "Fatphobia" need to stop, you should NEVER endores someone's addiction(as usually noone becomes that big from eating a bit more, chubby defenitly, fat thats pushing it), this isn't struggle you can only do so much about like Gender dysphoria, Disabled, physically and mentally, this a problem that is built up overtime, that also takes time to fix. Which also includes being critized for being so, encourging you to improve and overcome the challange. Rightfully as what I said, Just aswell though they are still people, so like Don't harras them. that isn't gonna encourge a healthy change. Critize bad actions and while endorsing the good ones.
My two personal favourite villians have to be Victor and Toad....the smugness and overly evil ways are just too fun to watch imo Love many of the big baddies of this studio though...like seriously they commonly slay the comedy angle while still being and impressive story crafting on a good few occasions (although i didn't see the shaun the sheep sequel or early man but I'm glad atleast the shaun the sheep sequel is pretty good)

Well... They are making a new Wallace and Grommit movie; so It could be possibile to see him come back 😁
@@Paolo-ec2si the movie will take place 30 years after the wrong trousers and feathers will be released from jail
Lord Nooth - Worse Prince John
Cooker - Good guy AUTO
Victor Quartermaine - British Gaston
I think it's safe to say that the 3 "worst" Aardman villains are basically just Disney/Pixar "inspirations"
Lmao then how about The Toad he's also Ratigan version of DreamWorks/Aardman?
As for me, I’ll compare the Aardman villains with the Codename: Kids Next Door (2002) Villains list:
*Queen Victoria - The 19th Century Cree Lincoln/Numbuh 11 and the Teen Ninjas.
*Agent Red - British Adult Henrietta Von Marzipan
*Melisha Tweedy - Nurse Claiborne with Madam Margaret’s Colour scheme.
Cooker predates Auto though.
Cooker is about 20 years older than AUTO. Besides, AUTO wasn't evil, he was just following his programming to the letter.
Wallance and Gromit are the most Popular Characters in the Aardman Universe
Wallace
The fact that feathers McGraw doesn’t speak makes him even more menacing
Great ranking! Mrs Tweedy was the first Aardman villain I’ve seen in my life and she’ll always be my favourite one. Miranda Richardson played her perfectly.
I agree.
I've always wanted to see you rank the Aardman villains. Glad i finally got my wish granted!! 😁
Cooker isn’t a villain he’s just protecting the moon

2: Feathers McGraw (The Wrong Trousers) 24:25
1: Queen Victoria (Pirates! In As Adventure With Scientists) 27:24
Prince John is like a four- course steak dinner while Lord nuth is like a cheap kebab for 1 pound
Oof
1:10 We ll give the film credit though you can't tell thats Tom Hiddleston doing Lord Noof's voice
Have you ever played any of the Wallace and Gromit video games? Feathers is in one of them called Project Zoo.
Not that much to say
Laika studios coraline, kubo, box trolls and paranorman might be worth a video :)
Beldam
Agatha Penderghast
Judge Hippkins
Albert Snatcher
The Moon King
Twin Sisters
Lord Piggot-Dunceby
Willard Stenk
Yeti Elder
I kind of thought you would add some of Aardman’s villains from their other shorts like Arnold Hugh from Stage Fright, but that no way detracts from this excellent ranking list.
Mrs Tweedy is still the scariest Aardman villain (At least in the first film imo)
Though Feathers McGraw and Preston are damn close, theres something very psychopathic about her. Yes, she's a chicken farmer trying to increase profits, but the authority and pleasure she's getting out of controlling them is truly disturbing. Even when she finds out they're intelligent, it only increases her blood lust. She's like "I don't care if they're sentient, I'm not letting my produce get away"
So happy I found this Chanel
It’s like Shaffrillas said about Frollo, that the musical where his evil is slowly revealed is better than the movie playing too many cards up front.
happy to see pirates! at the top, i feel like its sooo underrated as an aardman film. but its my favourite for sure! its just so over the top and fun
I was scared by the robo dog as a kid it terrified me
I remember Piella scaring me as a kid
It's so funny to me that Aardmans villains range from Colonialist Frog, Chicken Farmer, Theives and Robots, to *an actual serial killer*
Please🙏 do a ranking of Cartoon Network villains😈 that will be cool🤩 okay goodbye👋💖✌️
To Trumper: "It is bold. I like it."
Let’s not forget the fact that feathers made a comeback in the project zoo game. He had a TON of weaponry in that game
25:18 Actually I'm pretty sure the loud music was a means to cover tracks for when he goes out at night to plot his heist
How about the major villains of the Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Disney Channel shows? One or two per show
And how about DreamWorks Animation Television villains and Netflix Original Series villains maybe?
But how about three or a smidge more per show?
@@maurycyoseka1057 Then I could also do other platforms like Adult Swim, Toonami, or simply indie series

I would love it if you did a ranking video about movie protagonists instead of movie villains.
Is Cooker really a villain? He's possibly an antagonist, but I wouldn't call him an out and out baddie. And yes, there is a distinction
I was terrified of Preston when I was a kid. Seriously could not watch the climax of the film until I was an adult.
I'm fairly certain that Victor Quartermain is a twisted reflection of British Pulp hero Alan Quartermain rather than a simple British Gaston.
Feathers is gonna be the villian in the upcoming wallace and gromit movie

No joke I thought about you doing this ranking today.
Piella is probably my favorite of the Wallace and Gromit villains in terms of comedy. Favorite Aardman villain over all though while it has been ten years since I've seen Pirates, yeah the queen would definitely be at number one.

Nope

"A Fascist villain"
Nooth is not a Fascist. He's literally a regional governor of a bronze age Monarchy.

Fascism is a political doctrine that didn't exist until March 23rd, 1919. Heck, the Fascist Party didn't exist until November 9th, 1921
If you want to say you like seeing an aristocrat or an authoritarian getting humiliated, that's accurate. But don't throw out political labels unless you know what they actually mean
23:08 Mind you we do learn something about Mrs Tweedy in the sequel and thats that she is actually pretty sexist as she isn't anyway kinder to her second husband Dr Fry as she was planning on leaving him for fast food CEO Reginald Smith who unfortunately for her doesn't see her beyond just a buissnes partner

This is just an idea you don’t have to do it but “all marvel villains ranked”
I’m waiting for when you start ranking Disney, Nick, and Cartoon Network animated show main villains.
How about Dreamworks shows, and Netflix shows as well?
My two personal favourite villians have to be Victor and Toad....the smugness and overly evil ways are just too fun to watch imo
Love many of the big baddies of this studio though...like seriously they commonly slay the comedy angle while still being and impressive story crafting on a good few occasions (although i didn't see the shaun the sheep sequel or early man but I'm glad atleast the shaun the sheep sequel is pretty good)
