David C. Pack - You Have 51 Days to Sell All Or Lose Salvation

  • During "The Greatest Unending Story! (Part 493)" On February 17, 2024, David C. Pack of The Restored Church of God tells a cautionary tale about a minister who "sold his salvation." He uses this to instil fear into the members telling them they have 51 days (Aviv 1) to sell all. If the Church is doing fine (it's definitely not), then why do they need the money? What are they going to do with the money if they don't need it? If Christ is coming soon, why do they need any money? Where is THEIR faith? What are THEY giving up? I don't see him selling his multiple horses or his 25k Elijah cup. The scripture in reference says to SELL ALL AND GIVE TO THE POOR, but Pack pockets it instead.

The reason the early Church members sold up and had "all things in common" was because they thought that Christ's return and the end of the age was immanent. It was not because God commanded it, He didn't.

Question: I do know that the rich man was told to sell all that he had. Was he told to give all that to the church/ I don't remember Mr. Armstrong preaching this.

    • @exRestoredCOG

He was told by Christ to give all that he had TO THE POOR, not to the church (this is in the Bible). Both HWA and Pack have twisted this and state to give to the church, trying to say it was because it was not built yet. They use Ananias and Sapphira, too, but that story was about lying. Instead of giving fully what they got, they gave some and lied and said they gave it all. HWA absolutely has twisted so much in regards to money. Making up 'excess second tithes' and tithe of tithe, and he admitted it was an administrative decision but then made it a command. In almost every single co-worker letter, he also guilt tripped and hung salvation on a carrot stick, telling everyone to sell all, all the while he lives it up lavishly.

@@exRestoredCOG - That instant evangelist Stanley Radar was interviewed on 60 minutes. He was asked about the allegation that the Church had $50million in gold in a Swiss bank, his reply "every prudent organisation has a strategic reserve stashed away." I wonder where that $50 million went to. Radar also had a fleet of Rolls Royce cars (he collected them) rented private jets to the Great Leader and owned the accountancy firm that did the Church's books. Meantime tithers were mostly living in poverty. The Church eventually admitted that tithing wasn't taught in he New Testament.
As the saying goes - "there is one born every minute" and I was one of them, but despite it all I learned a lot - much of it by thinking for myself and asking for answers.

Only wolves in sheep's clothing snarl and threaten. They use the scriptures to spiritually terrorize the brethren as they fleece them for all their worldly Goods. What happened to the first church and it's prophetically happening again. We must hold back the tithes and offerings until God corrects this issue in the divided churches.

Wrong, wrong, wrong ,wrong. Anyone who asks ordinary people to put their financial security in jeopardy laying on them
psychological pressure through corrupted doctrine has a lot to answer for. Acts 5:1-11 shows us that their (Ananias and Sapphira) sin was to lie to
the HS. There would have been no penalty otherwise it was their money to do what they liked with (Acts 5:4).

In Matthew 23 verse 23 Christ himself "DOES" command tithing. That is how he is going to do his final gospel work in the last days. I do agree with your assertion of the teaching in this video. This outrageous teaching is a proof of God's true church. Paul the Apostle was repeatedly warning the church about "THE DECEPTION OF FALSE MINISTERS WRONGFULLY TAKING THEIR MONIES" AS WELL AS THEIR BELONGINGS. This is prophecy being fulfilled again. Holding back tithes and offerings will weaken their power call mom until God corrects these issues.

He refers to the verse talking about how the people had all things common in Acts. David C. Pack butchers this scripture completely with the intention to get money from the members. Making merchandise of men. Unfortunately, it works. People do sell all and end up in financial ruin and don't get out of it for many years. 😤

False ministers self interpret the scriptures . All the churches are doing it enlarger or lesser degrees. This teaching is reprehensible an outrageous. And yet this is happening in God's Church exactly like the first century. God will soon correct these issues. We need to seek God for patience until he does
