My five year old bun had surgery for middle ear disease almost two months ago and over the weekend started to show signs of head tilt. This morning he's having trouble staying upright and I've been very panicked. I've been trying to avoid Google because I don't want to scare myself more but I gave in and it's actually been really helpful to see that this is something rabbits can recover from. My bunny has a vet appointment tomorrow and I'm determined that he'll get better from here on. Thanks for sharing your story, it's helped calm me down in my panic x

I’m so glad your rabbit got the help he needed and that he got better really quick. My rabbit started to roll over and fall to the right side yesterday and I took him to the animal hospital and he stayed overnight. Today the doctor called me to tell me he has a head tilt and they are going to do some test on him and in the meantime I can take him home with some medication and I have to feed him with critical care. This video was very helpful, I was so scared and still are, but I’m more calm now and I want to be positive. I wanna say that I have hope now that I watched your video and I’m gonna pray so that my rabbit gets better soon too!

Bless you, what an informative video. So grateful for this video! I appreciate your honesty and sharing your experience. I am finding the same thing you mention that there’s a lot of info out there but not a lot of helpful practical info and lots of inaccurate stuff you have to sift through. I’ve recently rescued an abandoned bunny with lots of medical needs. It’s been a journey. I’ve been searching for information about head tilt and e cuniculi and your vid was very helpful. bunny has been to the vet and prescribed some meds but I needed to learn more. Still a lot of unknowns about his health status. I’m new to the bunny caregiver world so thank you for posting this vid!

this happened to my rabbit as well just last night is when it first started, i was not home and my mother took him to the vet as soon as she knew something was wrong. she called me this AM and she was crying. the first thing i thought was that she had to put him down.. BUT what she told me was that something was wrong with my rabbit. she drove 3hrs to get me to see him. and he very gratefully took his medicine. after the first day he already seemed better. i’ve just been holding onto him, and feeding him through a syringe. we have a crate that i bought, and we put a towel on the bottom of it and wrapped the rabbit in another one so he doesn’t roll around. i’m so relieved that he is doing better already. this video gave me faith that he will make it through this. so thank you again for making this video.

We just brought back out bunny from the vet . He stayed overnight. He had Ec 8 years ago so now we are waiting on the results. For now he is being treated for ear infection . One of his eye had to be removed 8 years ago due to the infection. It's super scary to see him falling on his side but seems to be cleaning himself and ate some lettuce and pallets. He has tons of meds and paid tons of money for us to get clarification what's wrong and for overnight observation. Dr K was his Dr the first time around and she saved his life so we are back to her and hoping it will turn out well. Your video was extremely hopeful and hoping Sylvester will recover nice and slowly. This is absolutely heartbreaking and we really thought he will die. Please think of us. Okay, so your rabbit is doing exactly what mine has been doing. And I too was given advice about it being possible ear mites, and being that I wanted to rule that out first, treating it for that, or thinking maybe it was a parasite also. I knew 99.9% it probably was an ear infection after treating her for ear mites didn't do a thing, possibly made her worse, but we can't get in to see a vet which will be almost a week from the time I noticed something was wrong so I was willing to rule out anything so I can get to the source.

I only have one of the medication in the drawer. It says "Fenbendazole (Panacur)." Please see your vet as I know you CAN purchase this elsewhere, but it's traditionally a horse dewormer, and if given the wrong dosage, can be lethal, or can make your rabbit resistant to the medication. I hope you the best~!!!

My rabbit had this we treated him on panacur and batryl vet prescribed . Crital care was fed (vet prescribed) it was e cuniculi his eyes with flicking he was spinning and flipping over it took 28days for this treatment to help only when the treatment stopped did the spinning stop. While on the meds he seemed to get worse. If you see head tilt or back legs starting to go go straight to a vet. He was 11 weeks old and we managed to help him he lived 2 years after he always had a head tilt and dragging bag leg but he was happy. Rabbits can be treated 3 to 4 times a year with panacur its only worming and is cheap if given 3 - 4 times can stop the rabbit developing symptoms of e cuniculi
